You guys finally cracked 3 hours. And what a wonderful 3 hours it is. I'm so happy you started this podcast a year ago and welcomed us all into your circle. You know I'm already planning my own Fleur. And Jackie, holy moley, your projects are giving me all the feels. I was mentally stash diving the whole time trying to make everything that you made!
You two!! That was so much fun, I couldn't stop giggling in the beginning. Loved it all and fleur has been on my list since I first started knitting so I can't wait to finally make one. I just love the intent in the bobbles - so good. Thanks so much for all the fun, Karen.
Hey Jackie & Carmen! Thanks for the inspiration and happy pod-birthday🎉 I’m in love with the weekender mod! Of course I’ve already cast on Fleur in Nutiden lol honestly we get what we need - this three hours with you and your pooches 😂 brought laughter and inspiration. Jackie’s 24 hr pause is so true - a bit of time allows the true nature to emerge. Cheers to you both.
Your Fleur shawls are both so beautiful! I am in love with the minty Weekender sweater! I feel I could watch you two all day!
Happy one year! Always such a pleasure listening to you both. Over this year I have knitted, folded washing, tidied and cooked dinner while in your company 🙂 A fleur shawl with special meaning behind it sounds like a special garment to have.
Love your fleur shawls, and I always get so much inspiration from your nutiden projects and, now, your spinning! Thanks for the opportunity to hang out for a while!
Spinning by hand looks so intriguing. I have a wheel but never learned to spin by hand. Something in me just knew I'd get on with the full body involvement. And I was right, my feet are happily paddling away. The hand dyed braid is so beautiful! Very glad you're sharing your spinning journey :)
I love the Fleur shawl! Your versions are all so beautiful ❤. Carmen your goddess shawl, on camera, emulates the tones of your hair and skin, to me that’s why is looks so good on you. Very complementary.
You had me at "pause", which is a practice I've been trying very hard to incorporate into my life. And I was downloading the pattern when you announced the Fleur along kal. I'm so in and can't wait to see where the journey takes me. Thank you for your wonderful and meaningful podcasts. ❤
This is the first episode I’ve ever seen of your podcast. Where have I been? All of your projects re beautiful, and I am so inspired now! Just love that Virvan nutiden too🤤
I'm so excited about the Fleur shawl. I've been wanting to start it since I first saw it on your hilarious podcast. I love the spontaneity you two bring to the knitting world. I so look forward to each episode.
Congratulations on your podiversary! I love your podcast and the excitement you two have for each others projects ❤ I can’t wait to start the Fleur knit-along!
Love both of your Fleur shawls. When Carmen showed hers in your last episode, I immediately stash dove and started one. Since then, I bought new yarn specifically for this shawl. It will be special to me because it will be the 2nd shawl I’ve ever made, but the first one that I’m making for me. Love how you made wishes on each bobble. Thanks for the inspiration! 😊 The Virvan colorway is gorgeous!
Your painted flowers pullover is amazing!!! The handspun paired with the purple/brown looks stunning. Well done.
"Spinning unicorn tails of magic" !! Wow if that doesn't convince me to try spinning nothing will. Love your Fleur shawls. thanks for all the inspiration you bring.
So much inspiration!!! I love that Virvan soooo much. Thank you and happy anniversary. Keep 'em coming please.❤ Almost forgot....Fleurs!!!
Both of your Fleur Shawls are beautiful! You two are so special too and an inspiration to all of us here on UA-cam! Enjoy your summer vacation. Congrats on you podvesary!
What a great episode! A little bit of everything! That Weekender is stunning, and I love the comfort, zen, and coziness of your Fleur shawls. I want to knit everything! Not enough hours in the day! I'm really drawn to the gorgeous colorful Nutiden -- I've never knit with Nutiden!
Love, Love, Love your podcast! I find it so refreshing that you are never in a hurry. Thank you for sharing all of your thoughts. I am truly excited to join the Fleuralong. Thanks for your generosity and for reminding us of the gift we have to be able to make. Hugs!
Aw thank you Heather!! We’re sooo glad you enjoy it and appreciate our laidbackness and all the chaos. I’m sure it is frustrating for others! But not our tribe!!
I just found your videos and I want to tell you both that you have helped me to understand my knitting and the process I go through in a project. I truly just thought that I was weird but when you were explaining the process of your growth and looking within while you were working on a project I began to understand. My German Shepherd (Jake) crossed over last July and it has taken me a year to finally start healing. During that time I had a sock that I worked on when I was having a difficult time. I would put all my energy into the knitting and then I would feel led to rip it ALL out and start over. I did it many times. Finally, just a few months ago I knit it for the last time and ripped it out for the last time and threw away all the yarn. As I did, I realized that I was better, that I was going to be okay. It truly is a process and I now understand that after watching your video. I want to say to you both, thank you so much for being so honest and open in this video. You are spreading the light in so many more ways than just in your knitting projects. You have inspired me to try the Fleur Shawl. I have never knit a shawl and I never really saw the purpose for one until your video. A warm, healing hug, whether for me or for someone I am led to gift it to. Thank you both again💜
Hey, Jackie and Carmen! 3 hours just flew in your company, can you believe it, I thought I'd watch it in two parts but time just flew by seeing your pretty FOs and WIPs. You girls are such an inspiration, I am definitely knitting the Fleur shawl and while at it also the Kiss shawl, they are both very pretty; just need to decide on the yarn I'll use. Every time I watch your podcast, my knitting queue lengthens.
I just love your long episodes! And it's so fun every time the dog barks I look at mine. Nope! He's a sleep. Thank's for all the inspiration for handspun projects. It's very easy to spinn a lot of hanks just for the fun of it but difficult to find use for them. I'm definitely going to join the Fleur a long. Casting on as soon as I'm finished spinning my Gotland wool.
Love your podcast Jackie and Carmen! Fleur Along, what a wonderful KAL idea! I've always enjoyed knitting with neutrals but have started to experiment with adding in sprinkles and even pops of color. It's so much fun. I'm so excited to join in the KAL and to make a really special shawl ❤
I started watching you when you just had a few episodes out, and within a few minutes you became one of my favorite knitting podcasts. Your beautiful, calming, contagious energy brings me so much peace and I love the stories that go with each single piece of cherished knitting. Congratulations on 1 year and thank you for the giveaway!
I would go for the Nutiden Virvan colorway. ❤
Thank you so much for your both sweet & hilarious knitting company 😘🤗🤣 As always I'm having the best time. You instantly had me hooked on the Fleur shawl. The first one is finished and I'm already dream knitting on a few more 😅 So definitely joining the Fleuralong
Wonderful podcast! Always so many beautiful projects, including the Fleur ShawlS! Congratulations on your first year!!🎉 Knit the sock rib in the next larger needle; put a yarn over between each stitch in the bind off. OMG the Tessellated is absolutely stunning!😊
You absolutely got me today!!! During your video I immediately cast on the Kiss shawl in same colors as Carmen's. I am so happy. My next cast on will be the Fleur shawl. It's been on my list for quite a while.❤❤❤ Happy knitting!
Love your podcasts and no, never too long! The happy finn sheep wool looks interesting. I can't wait to start my Fleur!
Thanks, Carmen and Jackie! Always so inspiring...
Fleur has been in my radar for a long time, and apparently it is the time to start it! I'm going for a combination of Vilgott (Nutiden of course) and a white/pinkish silk mohair from Isager I have in my stash. I can imagine myself wrapped in a light and soft cloud for comfort and self-care. Have fun during your vacations! A hug.
Such a fun episode! Love the Fleur shawls and cannot wait to see your 2nd ones!
Happy podiversery to you both🎉 I watched your podcasts all from the beginning and always got so inspired! Really love Nutiden and regret that I have never bought the colourchanging plates after I saw what others knitted with it !
So thanks for all the inspiration and joy you always bring with your podcast ♥️
Happy pod-versary! Thank you for spotlighting Kalea's work - I think her store is beautiful! I have some of her sock yarn and hill & down fingering, and it was one of the earliest "rustic" yarns that I experienced. I'd love to join in the Fleur-along. Carmen's influencer powers are mighty indeed because I was also looking through my stash yesterday, wondering what I could use to knit my own Fleur.
Hi. I’m from nearby, London and I always enjoy your podcasts. Today it was the perfect amount of time to see in my yarn ends of my latest project. So you’ve sold me on the fleur shawl. I’ll be searching my stash for the perfect yarn. Love the colour changing Nutiden; something I’ve never used. Someday. Happy Podaversary!
I have some of my Grandmother’s hand spun yarn and I definitely using some of that to make my mother a Fleur Shawl in her memory. Such a special pattern.
Congrats on your one year podiversary!! Love all the prizes, but even more love for your content…
Wow so generous! Watching your joy over all your projects makes me so happy. The Fleur is gorgeous but the way the duck colourway changed was unbelievable so magical. Thanks for making these episodes. 💕
Loving the Fleurs ladies, both are gorgeous. I have wanted to knit that for awhile now, so pretty. 🤗 Also, your Pressed Flowers is fantastic, looks amazing on you. 😄
Jackie your pressed flowers sweater is absolutely gorgeous! I would love to start the fleuralong! Both your shawls are so beautiful and I love how Jackie spoke about knitting each bobble with so much intention. Jackie also mentioned thinking how each knitting project begins with inspiration, choice of colour and pattern. Have a wonderful August vacation.
Get yourself someone who looks at you like Carmen looks at Jackie's handknits! 😍
And Carmen, no way - your mittens are the same pattern I made with MY handspun! What a neat surprise! The thumb gusset for those mittens was so charming, the way it came out. Yours looks so perfect with that yarn.
I've never knit with nutiden but am an admirer from afar! Wow those plates though!! 👀 Those autumnal tones... 🍂
The magic & mystery of shawls - love that 💕
You two!! Where do I even begin? The projects in this video had me pausing the video to wrap my head around their awesomeness. SERIOUSLY OH MY GAAAAWD!! wow. Beyond blown away. I have been here since Epi 0.5 and I am so grateful for the inspiration (and fellowship) you have brought into my life. Thank you soOoo much for putting yourselves out there. P.S. I am so down with the Luddite yarn... I will be Fleuring along like nobody's business. Love you ladies. Have an amazing rest of your summer!!
Couldn't resist this time and had to cast on Fleur. And yes, planning a 2nd version already as well 😂Though let's see, a row of bobbles might change my mind. And colour all the way, please. That spin fibre is stunning 😍
I’ve admired the Fleur shawl for so long and would love to make it! Both of yours are GORGEOUS!!❤❤. When you first mentioned a brighter colour changing Nutidan or a more neutral one I assumed I’d prefer the neutral, but when I saw them, that colour one is STUNNING!! I’d have to pick that one, but I love both.
Yours is such a fun podcast to watch. I've wanted to knit a Fleur shawl since its debut but haven't yet. Your KAL may be the nudge I need.
First time watching your podcast. Wow! I enjoyed it thoroughly! Love your fleur shawls and will be participating in the fleurshawlkal. So excited!
Both of your Fleurs are beautiful! Thanks for sharing
Happy one year anniversary!!! So appreciate hanging out with you two and the inspiration you give to me.
So funny you call that feeling “gooey”…I always say that about my kids when they were babies and would wake up from their naps, I loved snuggling them bc they were all warm and gooey from sleep 🥰
I love the stories you knit into your Fleur Shawls. So inspiring! I would love to knit one!
I just discovered your podcast and thought it will be too long to watch, but surprisingly I love every bit of it and found out that in your content there is more than knitting that I really love. I will definitely catch up with your previous episode and thank you for the great job you both are doing. I would really love to join the fleur knit along. 🥰
What a generous gift for the Fleur KAL. This has been on my list to make for years and I think I need a Fleur shawl in my life now after seeing your gorgeous shawls!
I just found you. I'm in ontario and happy to see some fellow Canadian girls. Happy anniversary. Now I get to go and watch the rest.
I love the shades of Grey. I wear a lot of grey.
Love you guys, I have never wanted to knit a shawl until I saw Carmen’s Fleur Shawl…it’s gorgeous…also never joined a Kal, so two first for me. You are beautiful knitters. Thank you for your inspiration💕
Your Fleur shawls are stunning, I’m so inspired! Totally going to join the fleuralong, hopefully with the yarn from your giveaway! 😉 thank you for a fun and entertaining 3 hours! ❤
I just love the pair of you gals.. and I don't usually participate in KALs, but I may just do so for the Fleur shawl. It's simple, but totally gorgeous. I absolutely love the Finn Canadian wool.. it would make a stunning shawl with some beautiful Suri alpaca. Happiest of pod birthdays to you both.. keep 'em coming 💕
Oh my just finished the pod cast ( I watch while the children in my care sleep ,so it has taken three days 😜)love Carmen’s colour 🥰🥰
Happy podcast birthday. I feel like I need to take notes during your episodes so I can remember all my comments at the end😂. Loved the thought behind your fleur shawls and the intention of how you approach a project. The hand spun in the tessellated pullover is amazing, I keep hearing the pull of spinning calling me but have yet to dive in
OMG, JACKI laughed so hard when you walloped Carmen with your Fleur shawl. That was so funny! Carmen was so trying not to look like you wacked her, which made it even funnier. 😂😂😂😂😂
I totally want the Fleur on my needles! Was inspired last podcast. I have read about that yarn and it sounds so special 😍
Never knew I needed a Fleur shawl until I saw yours Carmen and Jackie. Need to go and choke some bobbles…..
Hahah Jenny!! It really is like choking them! I’d never thought of it that way before but it’s so true! 😝
I just received the most beautiful birthday yarn and the Fleur Shawl is the perfect pattern. Thanks for the inspiration and the KAL.
The weekender is stunning. My favorite I have ever seen.
One cannot choose between fiber to spin or yarn to knit.
Loved every minute. I needed this today!
Thank you! Hope you have the best month
So much info! I’ll just say all the words, fleur shawl, color changing Nutiden, love it all! ❤🎉❤
All of your projects and inspirations are so beautiful! I'd love all of those prizes 😄, but I'd probably choose the Virvan. Happy anniversary and thank you for all that you share here ❤
Thank you again for another delightful podcast. As I’m watching you both interact with each other, I have a great big grin on my face. Your joy is infectious, thank you. Also, I’m dying to try that nutiden, the colour changing yarn, but if that’s not available, then the greys would be wonderful. Thanks for all of the inspiration.
Happy anniversary!!! Love watching u both speaking with such an enthusiasm about each other's garments!!! And the nutiden! Omg what a great gift! Thanks! And keep on knitting
Really enjoying your podcast so pleased I just found you lovely ladies. I just learning to knit at the moment hopefully one day I can made a jumper. Have a wonderful weeks. Xxx
I am all in for the Fleur along, I best get sone spinning done as you have inspired me with yours.
The Finn yarn had me at Luddite, it is how I often refer to myself
All of your knits are perfection!! I very much enjoy spending time with you!!
I agree with you about shawls being a comfort knit (as well as enveloping us in comfort when done). I'm wearing a Half & Half Triangles shawl right now while working on another one, and I have two other shawl WIPs. I have two others in my queue. AND I want to cast on a few more (including a Fleur thanks to you two. I see grey, brown, gold and olive green in your second Fleur WIP, Jackie). Shawls actually get in the way of my other knitting! But they are lovely meditative projects that allow me to explore color and dream of future makes 🙂 Love your podcast and the way you two communicate with each other. Thank you.
The Fleuralong shawls are beautiful. I adore both of you and enjoy watching your podcast so much.
I am so excited to do this fleur along with you. The shawls you have both done are so amazing and special and I love how the stories behind them as much and so powerful. Thank you for these very special last two episodes. My fingers are 🤞
I enjoy watching your episodes. Congrats on your 1st year birthday. I love all the amazingly beautiful Fleur shawls. Both the color changing cake of yarns are all gorgeous. If I have to pick one, I would say the grey and black one. Thank you for the chance.
I wasn't fully sold on the Fleur shawl yet, but I think I'm going to have to make one 🤩 you both have such beautiful versions!
I've been wanting to learn spinning since I first started watching your episodes. It'd be amazing to win that beginners spinners kit, but any of the other prizes would be amazing too! Such generous lovely people you are.
This is the BESTEST podcast ever 😍😍😍, so fun, sweet, inspiring, I could watch an episode of 5 hours with no issues at all 😂. I totally love your pressed flower sweater, Jackie, and the days weekender. And I can't get enough of the fleur shawl you made Carmen, so cosy and peaceful... It didn't strike me at the beginning butvnow❤.. I will then follow you on the #fleuralong with Laura, and maybe I have decided on the yarn after a bit of stash diving. 😊 Concerning the giveaway I'm totally drawn to the fiber, Jackie your love for it and the result once spinned😍😍😍😍. I really wish I can be a spinner like you 2 and spin it❤❤❤ thank you so much for 3h well spent❤❤❤❤
Congratulations on your first podiversary 🎉 Jacky, your Pressed Flowers is stunning. Knitting with your own handspun is such a special experience
I'm so happy you made it to 1 year, I've watched you from the start and you bring so much joy and inspiration to all of us 💗
Virvan would be PERFECT for a tessellated pullover!!
Omg, I have only one word to say- beautiful ❤. I like to star now my too, and will be happy to participate in Fleur shawls. Thank you ....❤❤❤
I loved the way you described the bobbles and the Fleur shawl. I am knitting on my Shawlography now and I understand what you mean by wish on a bobble. There’s so many thoughts going into this shawl, quite overwhelming.
Enjoy the rest of your summer, see you in September!
The two of you make me so happy! Your excitement about life , knitting and being joyful is so inspiring ! I will like to join in the fleur along
Your knitting is incredible! Very excited about the fleur shawl and the KAL. The yarn is gorgeous. ❤️
You 2 are so talented and have such energized sharing of the knits. Thank you for the honesty and candidness you display on the Podcast.
I would ❤ to knit with the bright color changing yarn.
Thanks for sharing so much with us.
Congrats on the one year! It only took me two sessions to watch this time (plus a dinner break), lol. All the best going into another year of podding. :)
Oh my goodness- THE PRIZES!!!!! 🫣💕all so good. Love that Nutiden- always wanted to try it. The grey scale is beautiful. I have never tried spinning, but would be fun to learn. Fleur away!
Happy anniversary! So many gorgeous knits! Would never decline the Nutiden! Such a gorgeous (pre)yarn❤
Happy podversary 🦋 luckily I had my day off so I could watch your episode without pausing 😻 thank you so much for your positive energy and encouraging power 🤗💚
Love your podcast. Love your thoughtful discussions on our making craft. I’m definitely joining the fleur along. You are so inspirational
I love your Fleur shawls! I have one I started a while ago but it has not kept my interest. I think because I like the product but I don’t think I love knitting with the yarn I chose. But I paused the podcast to stash dive. 😂and I have found some very nice choices so I’m in for the Fleuralong!!! (complete with a wish for each bobble.!❤)
I love all your finished knits but….who are you people? 😂 Jackie!! Neon!?! 😂 it’s beautiful and I am thinking about combos. The choice is endless! Wow 🤩 Carmen, I’m so glad you had your beautiful goddess with you in ER. 💕 I love the emotion, energy that goes into our knitting and spinning work and love the way you talk about it. I’m so very glad you two took the plunge and started the podcast (a whole year!) you have influenced my choices in knitting very much ( Nutiden all the way!) I’ve always loved lots of colour and I still do but I am looking at the neutrals with a different eye. 😻 I love the Virvan as well as the more subtle grey version. I think a colourwork yolk with it would be spectacular. Thank you!🎉❤🎉 (I love the fleurs but I don’t want to be in the draw for that giveaway, even though I also love Luddite Yarn) I’m in for all the Nutiden though! 😂🎉
Congratulations on a year! :)
1 year congrats🎉 and l never missed an episode and love your Energy and inspiring projects...❤ And l love to be a part of the Fleur along... I download the pattern in that moment l saw Carmens in your last podcast...both of your fleurs are so beautiful...and l already fall in love with Jackies weekender...l really loved to win the beautiful canadian wool, this would be a great fleur...❤ I wish you all the best and never stop podcasting .....😊❤😊
What a wonderful episode and companion on my 3 hour flight from Chicago to Boston. I have learned so much from these episodes since you started podcasting a year ago, especially learned a lot about working with Nutiden. Thank you for the giveaway. My choice would be the spinning tool with the fiber because I have yet to learn how to spin and would love to try it out. Already looking forward to your next episode.
Your Fleur Shawls are SO beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration!
Not me over here pulling out 3 Melly knits batts to sample with for a Fleur shawl! Your projects are all so amazing and I'm so impressed by your handspun knits! Thank you for such wonderful company ☺
So inspired by your beautiful journeys with the Fleur shawl! You definitely have me excited to make one ❤
Also a top down sock fits me better! I do a German twisted cast on and it’s perfect.
I was literally about to cast on the Fleur shawl today! Saw Carmen's version in the previous episode and although I don't like bobbles, the placement of it looks so beautiful I downloaded it. I'll probably be making the bigger shawl because I love how they're such a warm hug. Jackie, your story about the shawl is super touching and the both of you really got me thinking about spinning. And then I look at my yarn stash behind me and I was like...I need to go through them first XD
Ahhh happy one year! Your podcasts are always fun to listen to while I work on my projects. I have yet to work with nutiden and would love to try creating pieces as gorgeous as yours !!
Happy Podiversary! I’d love to spin that gorgeous braid. It came out so well knitted into your Pressed Flowers pullover!😊
What a fun podcast! I'm always so motivated to cast on all the things and also knit with my handspun. I'm heading to my stash now to see if I have any yarn that I could use to join in the Fleuralong KAL!
Both of your Fleur shawls are so amazing but it was Carmen's that had me download it immediately. Like Carmen I hadn't been a shawl knitter thinking that I wouldn't wear them and now I'm looking at those patterns all the time. You're both so motivating and inspiring with your knits. As soon as I finish a couple of test knits, I will make a color/yarn decision and cast on for your Fleuralong!
Love your podcast that I watch from Virginia.
Hi lovely ladies ❤
My best tips when it comes to socks. If it’s difficult to pull it on it’s usually due to too tight cuff or leg. I would suggest that you, after you are done with the heel, increase a few stitches to get a wider leg/ankle/calf part. In my recipe I have a bind off method I recommend to get an elastic top. Good luck!
