I'm just about to turn 30- not young, not old. Bargaining if I should let go of some naïve dreams and goals I had since I was 22. My body has lasting aches from my brash use of energy, too. Now I'm learning to take it easy and it seems it had only just begun. I don't know when it happened, but I don't feel as rebellious and ambitious as I used to be. I find myself thinking about a family of my own very often recently. This is human nature, and I will embrace it. If I were to leave this world tomorrow, I don't think I will be angry or sad. When my time comes, I wish to slip away in the present. If it were to be painful, my body is prepared to numb it, and I know that. The past would have passed and the future is not for me. That is peace, I think. Until then, there is work to do, things to see, music to hear, and food to taste. To experience an infinite reality as a finite creature is a true blessing.
