"I showed up and there was 6 padlocks on the gate, and there was a car parked in front of the padlocks, and the guard who was usually very nice to me, who used to work for us, used to give me hugs, and 'Hello Ms Brown', said 'Ms Rae, you cannot go in there.' And I said 'Excuse me... What are you talking in about?'. I expected her to give me a hug and say I'm sorry about what happened, she didn't even offer her condolences, obviously her employers changed because I'll tell you, she was not the same person and she told me that I couldn't go and that I would be arrested if I tried to go in through the gates, into my home."

He's to busy making accusations behind some horrible woman, well if I'm so horrible why didn't I leave this man? I stuck with him because I understood him."

So we made a decision that we would make it a James Brown museum because there isn't one and every time we try to get one we get shut down; so we are going to make our home a James Brown museum. We had discussed burying on our property, that's where he wanted to be buried."

The partner, one of Brown's backup singers, says the couple was married and she can prove it.
Brown, 73, died at an Atlanta hospital on Monday.

She didn't leave James Brown because she stood to get her hands on half of his estate and his money.
And she was on drugs and providing them to him again she was not legally married to Brown because she was still married to another man.She was no where listed in his will which was redone 10 months before their son was born.And a year before she was his fake wife but was claiming half of his estate with the other half going to money he left in his will for disadvantage children.Now mind you he left money for his grandkids education also,so was she going against this too.They after 15 years after his death finally settled his estate and it belongs to his children and not this fake widow.In the meantime his oldest daughter passed in 2018 so eeven she did not get to see this being settled finally when she was one of the children who most embodied her father's and the way he moved.But ding ding this witch and fake widow can no longer benefit from his estate unless it is through her son who is an adult now.But during this she was able to sell 5 out of 900 of his songs for 2 million dollars so I hope they can now go after her and the company who purchased them knowing that this was being fought all these years in court.I just made this in other comments just for the record since so many are believing this witch.
No no, he was not planning to leave her anything. Only his kids. He said it in one of his interviews that the only people in his will were his children

What money? The lawyers took all the money. Everyone rallied around her and James to help support and take care of them for the last 15 years, so you, like most of the others on this post are miss informed and spreading a bunch of negative bs.

She was not his legal wife and this has been known since right after his death.Now 15 years later for the final time it has been proven 3 weeks again.His estate has just settled and his children which her son who is an adult now are his legal heirs. his will was made 10 months before the son now 20 was born,and her knowing it was not legal to marry him being already married was a year later.So she and this child was never apart of this man's will.But fought so many years to the point she had some wins to be able to sale 5 of his songs for 2 million dollars and God knows what else.His children had to take this all the way to the supreme court and won a couple of years ago and now for the final time.

She was not legally his wife and he did not put her in his will but she has been playing his fake widow all these years.Nowing she was married when she married him but still by doing this was able to make money selling 5 of his songs making 2 million dollars.In the meantime they rights to his estate was still being fought by her and his children which her son is one of those children.It was just settled after 15 years with with her not being his widow.Again he had a solid will and they all still fought it taking 15 years to do this.

It was very sad and still is sad. All of us who know her and the family and have known her for many years feel absolutely heartbroken over what her and James have had to endure over the years since James Sr passed. People can be so cruel and jelous and negative and just plain mean and judgemental. Its really gross and Im glad she is finally somewhere safe.

She's been treated pretty badly.
Fake tear she was never married to him legally,his will never included her are their son which was made 10 months before the son was born and she married him knowing she was already married a year later.She knows she was no where or her son in that will that was made but was claiming half so he wanted to make sure she and her son was taken care of while the other half was what he left for charity for disadvantage children.This man left most of that money for those disadvantage children to get an education and also his grandkids to be educated and very little to his children b,but even they could make money off of that estate being his children and heirs.Again she was not legally his wife and every body been have known this for years but she wanted half because if laws saying a wife which she was not ,is entitled too.And now just a couple of weeks his estate has been settled in his children's favor and again she was not his legal wife.This has taken 15 long years with this woman running around faking to be his legal wife and and running around selling 5 of his songs for 2 million dollars she had know right nor the companies who bought them.And you fell for her fake tears and scams she has been doing along with her fighting all these years to be declared his wife to gut his estate and I am very happen she was not able to sell his whole catalog off..Which this dope fiend would have done which would have hurt her son financially also along with his of her children his legal heirs to his estate.
