Bravo to Kenworth for keeping the big square hood and 18-speed manual alive with this truck. This instantly has to be the best new model on the market!
If only KW gave it a bigger sleeper like what they did with their previous generation cabs. That 86" Studio gave a lot of space. I wish they would bring out something like that but more modern. Otherwise I would 100% agree
I drive All new KWs... been delivering them for 23 years... absolutely nothing beats a w900 ... it's truck perfection...the 990 has less visibility...and being a pro driver, visibility is everything...
The beautiful thing about Peterbilt vs. Kenworth is that is all based off taste. They are both manufactured by Paccar, so the overall looks is what makes someone a “peterbilt/ Kenworth person”
I just wish they would use the best out of the two to build the perfect truck. I had a 379 Pete and now own a 2008 W9. There are things out of both trucks that I really love and a couple things not so much. A couple things I really miss about the Pete is (1) the throttle pedal (2) is the mirrors mounted on the doors. With 7" stacks, when backing into a spot in the Pete, you just open the door and slowly swing it to keep your view in the mirror. The W9 has a small throttle pedal that takes getting use to. Feels like it set farther to the right and very soft with out a lot of feedback. A little more leg room in the Pete but more overall room in the W9. Although the flattop looks good on the Pete I prefer the typical mid roof look of the W9, and it definitely sets up higher than the Pete which I also prefer. I know if they ever did make that perfect truck I would put myself in the poorhouse again and trade mine in on a new one
Paccar knew what they were doing in the purchase and take over of both Kenworth and Peterbilt. Prestige, class 👏🏾 and keeping it in the hands of US ownership to maintain the heritage.
I love the older square bodies vs. the newer sleeker versions....and my f*cking God am I in love with this rig! I am seriously at a loss for words. This Kenworth is so beautiful I wouldn't even want to put her to work. If this baby so much as got a scratch or some dirt on her I wouldn't be able to live with myself!

I love my Kenworth, but this monstrosity I can do without. And don't even get me started about the bunk, what am I supposed to sleep in a coffin, for Christ's sakes. No point in having all of that wheelbase if they're aren't gonna give it a bunk with some room to move around in, it's stupid!
Would not even dream of having that truck, one beautiful POS, I drove trucks that were maintenance free to million miles, that beauty will rob the bank before it hits it's second set of tires, older trucks built with virgin steel are still on the road and looking good, stay strong

What an absolute marvellous Truck in every sense of the way! Paint Job scheme, wheels, interior....ohhh just a killer of a beauty! If I won the lottery I would by that one, extend de cab, put a Shower/toilet in and drive all over the country and pretty much live in it....👍👍👏👏✌✌
Can't lie, this KW is absolutely beautiful to look at. I just wish they would do something about their design on the steps. I don't know if it is me and my height or lack there of. Or if it is the angle they are placed at or the gap. Almost every single time I go to step up in at KW I will whack the ever living hell out of one of my knees. Which then of course causes me to stand straight up and whack my head just as hard on the door frame.
Very cool looking but I can’t get over the menacing look of the W900L. It’s so classic and has style that is unique to IT. I’m more of a Pete guy personally though.

Ok so they only thing I don't like is the big gap between the steer tire and fender. Either air bag it, or car hauler front suspension. Beautiful W990!!
It's beautiful. Not all rounded off like all the other trucks are. But a bigger sleeper would be nice. I sure would love to strap into it and go for a nice run out in the southwest.

This model is unique looking I have to say but at the same time I haven't seen a lot of these around since they have been out I think KW's plan was for this to eventually secede the W900 but I don't think that's gonna go over so well if that's the case
