  • I saw this technique of connecting two leather pieces in some of my favorite leather bags that i'd like to sew in the future. Today I thought I'd try out some different methods so I can decide which to use for what. You may see this as a little "preview" for more complicated leather craft projects i want to tackle later on. What do you think is the classiest way of connecting two leather pieces?

Thank you for sharing your skill. I have wanted to try this braid for a long time and i've seen other videos doing it differently but this looks like an easier way for me to remember the sequence. Thank you again. Stay safe.
    One Love.

It would be really great if you would mention how to finish this up, I can’t just leave two loose ends and then carry a purse around like that, that’s a recipe for disaster…. But your work is awesome, thanks for the great idea…

Love your style, how do you splice another piece if you don’t have enough lacing to finish?

This is actually a tool for pulling elastics through pants. I’m not sure what it’s called, otherwise I would have sent you a link. I think I found it on amazon a few years ago.

@@ROYAatHOME It's called a bodkin. Could you briefly show how to attach the lace to it?

How do you finish it? Burn? Tie off the edges?

I'd assume bury it with extra tension, cut it,and let the draw back hide the tail... a bit of glue on a shaved tail b4 drawback is good too
