Welcome back to Hourless Life where we are overlanding around the world.
Today we are in Barichara, Colombia. This pueblo is considered to be the jewel of Colombia. By far, Barichara, Colombia has been the most highly recommended destination for us to visit in this country. So of course we had to go!
Visiting Barichara, Colombia is like traveling back in time. The streets are cobblestone; deals are still made with a handshake; and every turn holds a new wonder awaiting discovery. Also, the food here is fantastic. From local artisanal breads to our favorite burger joint in the country so far, Barichara has it all!

🌎 Who we are and what we’re doing:
We’re Eric + Brittany + Caspian Highland, and we’re driving around the world! We left the United States in October 2021 and made it to South America in November 2022. Over 10-15 years total, we intend to drive across all six habitable continents on the planet. We started traveling full-time in February 2014 and have never looked back.

This is no doubt a very beautiful town in Colombia. Reminds me a little of El Retiro and Jericho where I have my Carriel’s made to my liking. It also brings memories of my trip to El Carmen del Viboral, La Ceja, Santa Elena with Los silleteros, Rionegro and San Antonio. Super excited to visit this phenomenal town. My family owns little cabins in the outskirts of the town that overlook it beautifully!! They're called 45-46 La Antigua cabanas.

Hello, I noticed the back door on the Gladiator opens way ahead to enable access to the refrigerator…how do you accomplish such?
Yes, so we had to clear the restraining strap for the door, and extend the wires that power the windows on the rear passenger door,. ~ Eric
