In this video, we take a look at the Stealth 556 integrally suppressed upper from @HMDefense . This integral setup is unique in that the barrel, gas block, and suppressor tube are all machined from the same round bar stock in one assembly. This means there are no welds or failure points to speak of and transfers as a single NFA item.

I have used HM Defense rifles since 2015. I have a few of them and they’ve all been super accurate and reliable. I would say they’re up in the Aero category.
Really sweet setup! Love the idea of an integrally suppressed 5.56 AR. Great review!
The AFT will someday call it a machine gun 🧐
That scope mount just looks weak.
As a Vietnam Veteran, give me a 20" barrel anytime.
They do make this in .300 blackout. Sold as a complete rifles or uppers.
I love my HM in 556! Super reliable & accurate as hell!
Same
I've been shooting a lot of the ADI ss109 ammo. Australian surplus stuff. It's right up there with the GGG. Super consistent, clean burning and very accurate.
I have some of that as well. Super good ammo.
Rocking that Freddy Krueger🤣 All love!
I own a HM defense rifle and love it. I’m surprised they’re not more popular than what they’re
They have excellent customer service.
The Australian surplus F1 ammo is also top notch 5.56. Its considered some of the best.
I found out about HM uppers a couple years ago from a guy from a gun show. He was telling me about them being made just down from us in Lancaster, Ohio. They're definitely quality barrels. I was seriously impressed with the accuracy, especially for the shorter barrels. The only thing I don't like is that the handguards don't have a socket for a qd sling swivel, but that's easy enough to remedy.
Or the fact they skipped ballistic day at gunsmithing school 🤣
@@maximusjoseppi5904 and you're certainly entitled to your opinion. But they're apparently good enough for service use by the military as they are starting to purchase them from what I've read. So, there's that.
@@wm.riley3 no, the service is not using 9" 556 barrels and never will. In fact they're moving away from 10.5" because that's even too short
@@maximusjoseppi5904 I didn't say anything about 9". I believe the HM barrels they're looking at are 11.5".

Eric if I provide you a contact with the US GOV will you review a B-83 nuclear weapon?
Would love a longer barrel and a bigger caliber.
big love from our shooting range❤🙌🙌🙌
Doesn't the penetrator in the ss109 chew up the steel targets?
Better safe than sorry on the protection. Good call
I own their 9.5” MC5 Raider. I have my own 556 dedicated suppressor on it. F1 can. Inconel blast baffle followed by 17-4..
the 17-4 is eroding much faster than other 556 hosts with longer barrels..
I’m curious as to how the SS baffles hold up in this.
My 9.5” is damn accurate! I use it out to 200 regularly with an eotech and 3x..
what muzzle velocity are you getting?
I need to get one of these for my channel.
Great stuff you two
That's a sweet rig!!!
You know off topic from this video, I thought of a new melt down video, how reliable are the binary and echo triggers...melt down?
Sick rig 💪💪
Pretty cool platform. I wanna try that
Very nice machine! I want one!
First video of yours I watched in a while😅
How would you clean supressor
Thanks for a great info video
Dude I love the Freddy flannel
141db? I guess its the 9inch barrel. My 7.5" with YHM Phantom hovers around 139-138db. They should of made the can 2" longer.
Are yall gonna do a video on the kalashniko usa kr-103? Would like to know how america is doing with America made AKs
Check out the ak47 subreddit lol. They are shipping them with shotgun safeties.

@@TheMike31b ok bro! Let them send you a broken gun from factory.
@@camius1 ok bud. Maybe if you knew how to fix aks, you wouldn't have to rely on the company to give everything. Maybe aks aren't you're thing. Stick to ARs 😏
@@TheMike31b its not a matter of knowing how to fix anything. They are sending broken guns. Bending the ks12 safety wont do a thing. Keep simping for KUSA. I bet their pornstars are doing a number on you coomer.
Can i reach out to 300 yards comfortably being that the barrel is only 9 inches? I ask because 5.56 is optimal in 16 inches in my opinion
That thing is sick
AWESOME
Frickin awesome
Thanks Freddy Krueger!
Very nice.
I’d love to see this in 300blk or 350lgd
How do I get the upper I have a new build lower I want your supressed
hmdefense.com/html/stealth_suppressor_uppers.html
Freddy gave up the glove and got himself an evil black rifle.
Wish it was at least a 10.3” due to velocity issues but otherwise great setup.
I think we should all ask for a lightning link melt down. Maybe a couple different variants. Get an SOT to make one and then burn it down.
Wish I had y’all’s range.
So would you need a permit since it is suppressed?
1 stamp
Yeah gov wants $$ for a 2A right!
I wish you would post more "Gun Grips" videos.
What the name of that again??
So do I need to pay for the tax stamp if it comes suppressed?
Yes, for the suppressor, but not an additional stamp for the short barrel.
Does it come in .300 BLK?
Yes. hmdefense.com/html/stealth_suppressor_uppers.html
Can’t believe y’all have never done a video on a PRI Mk12 Mod 0
Nice!
My question is this... If for whatever reason one wished to change handguard, a new barrel nut could be required. With the gas block and hush tube machined into the barrel, how would the one remove the barrel nut from the barrel?
I do like the overall idea.
Looks like your stuck with their rail unless they’ve made it compatible with some other existing barrel nut.
Which I doubt they did.
Plenty of handguards that should be big enough to slip over. At least there were. Before the apocalypse.
The gas block on their integral barrels is smaller than the threads on the upper receiver, so any barrel nut will fit.
@@Kycirion they should put that info on their site.
You could go 2 piece quad rail and be fine
It's nice and all but man, why are all these companies making handguard with mlok only at the 4-6-9?????????
Is this an nfa item?
that is nice, i would just throw some iron sights on it
How do you replace the gas block?
You don't. It's machined into the barrel.
@@drtmi8789 he'd know that if he listened to the damn video, Eric says it at least twice
@@drtmi8789 .....gross
Let's see the meltdown on it, see if that integral suppressor holds up
How’s the maintenance? How do you clean it?
Clean? It's an AR, you pop the pins and clean it like any other.
Front cap unscrews.
A reminiscence of the Honey Badger.
So is it classified as a pistol or a rifle?
Barrel length with fixed suppressor is over 16". So, classified as rifle. Single tax stamp for suppressor.
Same logic as ARs with 14" barrels and permanently attached flash suppressors making the barrel length legally over 16".
That's nice
Could y'all maybe make a new channel just for your hunting & homesteading videos?
Here's the thing: SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.
Cool

Hi Al
In the slo-mo shots, 2:18 -2:53, it looks like a little gas bleed off, is coming from the gas block. It IS cycling. But I've had issues with gas blocks in the past. Too much leakage & Gun won't cycle. Changing the gas block on that set up, not an easy swap out.
The gas block is integrally machined onto the barrel. There is no swapping it out.
Why would they allow gas to escape at the gas port? In a setup like this, they should have everything sealed and no bleeding, with a perfectly sized gas port. The appeal of something like this is that it's supposed to be a permanent sealed system that needs no adjustment or readjustment.
@@Paelorian Did you look at it?? Something is "bleeding" gas. It's still cycling, & I don't see it in the rest of the vid. But every shot in that slo-mo 2:18 up, a lot of gas is bleeding.
@@Kycirion Yeah, no sh!t. I guess you missed the sarcasm.
Like it nice rifle.....
This would make more sense to me in 300 blk, or 350 legend. Or even a pistol caliber.
They have 300blk
@@Neil.Anblomi dittos
Dont see the point of a 9" supressed 5.56, .300 blk was designed exactly for this setup, super and sub ammo.
Cheaper ammo is the only reason.
@@rickoshea8138 That doesn't make any sense, why would you buy an expensive integrally suppressed barrel/rifle only because the ammo is slightly cheaper. This isn't a barrel/gun built to be only used at a flat range.
Me: I want it....
My wallet: NO!
I like Stealth 556. Because it's 5.56mm superior!
Freddy Kreuger shoot 5pointFiveSIX!!!
I need that striped shirt.
Nice Dixon flannel
Cleaning?
Yes you need to clean your firearms.
@@Totemparadox No need to clean gas block passage/orifice?
@@dhe777 Nope.
Other than cheaper ammo, I just don't see the point of short barreled suppressed .556 builds. Not enough barrel length to burn up the powder, and not enough weight to have much punch at range. 300 blackout exists for a reason.
If you can afford an integral 300 blackout is the way to go.
While I agree, the mk18 does exist, in large quantities, for a reason.
These types of comments make no sense to me, the bullet doesn’t have enough punch? You take 3 rounds to the chest out of this rig and tell me how you feel
I think I case of punching the kevlar
Isn't enough to stop a threat
300 blk out within 100 yards it’s cute. 556 short barrel you can still get the range with a punch, with drop off remaining more flat out to 300 yards before you start having serious drop off. Even then, can get more shots on target. 300 blk out is cute in home defense situation. Real world applications out to distance not so much.
This is cool, but if the barrel isn't ported I wouldn't really call it "integrally suppressed" maybe something like "permanently attached suppressor"
You didn’t say what the twist was.
Do I need a tax stamp to purchase?
Yes, but only one instead of two.
🇺🇸💪👍
141 dB? That's not at all hearing safe, and why use a suppressor if you need ear pro either way?
Suppressors on rifles try to achieve hearing safe levels last. The main points of a suppressor are noise reduction, not elimination, muzzle report reduction as in flash, tone change so that the noise is harder to pinpoint and it's much better for neighbors, fellow hunters and nature.
Makes more sense in 300blk
Coyote gun yes, PDW yes...Feral/Rogue pigs I'd prefer a little more thump
The built in block is cool, but am I the only one that doesn’t see the purpose in buying this barrel where you can’t take the suppressor off?
Yes you are. The point is to have one less tax stamp.
The housing is the only integral part. You can unscrew the end and remove the baffles for cleaning. Having the housing integral means only one $200 tax stamp instead of 2.
I wish companies would stop making “Gov’t profile” barrels… except for retro style builds.
Great… more stuff nobody can afford
$1500.00
Does this need a tax stamp?!
for the suppresor yep.
The numbers are great huh…. Soooo why not say what they are?
My specwar with a 10.5 is hearing safe to me
After 357 with a 5 inch barrel, everything is just "eeeeeeeeeeeeee....." anyway, lol.

A 9" 556... Just use 22lr haha. Will be equally effective
Sure. It's just a bullet that's half-again as heavy and going twice as fast as a .22lr. But sure, the .22lr is just as gud. 👍 k...
@@Kycirion it's not going twice as fast in a 9" barrel haha... And the weight is largely irrelevant due to the fact neither has enough inertia to make a difference. 556 out of a 9" barrel is simply going to put tiny irrelevant holes is whatever you shoot with it. This is a horrendous self defense weapon, an unethical hunting weapon, and a really expensive 22 caliber plinker. A Ruger 10/22 would, without exaggeration, be better suited for everything you'd want this for. This gun is in the wrong caliber.... It needed to be 300bo or 762x39. Or 2" longer. Or just not exist
