I’m curious as to how the SS baffles hold up in this. My 9.5” is damn accurate! I use it out to 200 regularly with an eotech and 3x..
My question is this... If for whatever reason one wished to change handguard, a new barrel nut could be required. With the gas block and hush tube machined into the barrel, how would the one remove the barrel nut from the barrel? I do like the overall idea.
In the slo-mo shots, 2:18 -2:53, it looks like a little gas bleed off, is coming from the gas block. It IS cycling. But I've had issues with gas blocks in the past. Too much leakage & Gun won't cycle. Changing the gas block on that set up, not an easy swap out.
Why would they allow gas to escape at the gas port? In a setup like this, they should have everything sealed and no bleeding, with a perfectly sized gas port. The appeal of something like this is that it's supposed to be a permanent sealed system that needs no adjustment or readjustment.
@@Paelorian Did you look at it?? Something is "bleeding" gas. It's still cycling, & I don't see it in the rest of the vid. But every shot in that slo-mo 2:18 up, a lot of gas is bleeding.
Other than cheaper ammo, I just don't see the point of short barreled suppressed .556 builds. Not enough barrel length to burn up the powder, and not enough weight to have much punch at range. 300 blackout exists for a reason.
These types of comments make no sense to me, the bullet doesn’t have enough punch? You take 3 rounds to the chest out of this rig and tell me how you feel
300 blk out within 100 yards it’s cute. 556 short barrel you can still get the range with a punch, with drop off remaining more flat out to 300 yards before you start having serious drop off. Even then, can get more shots on target. 300 blk out is cute in home defense situation. Real world applications out to distance not so much.
Barrel length with fixed suppressor is over 16". So, classified as rifle. Single tax stamp for suppressor. Same logic as ARs with 14" barrels and permanently attached flash suppressors making the barrel length legally over 16".
@@rickoshea8138 That doesn't make any sense, why would you buy an expensive integrally suppressed barrel/rifle only because the ammo is slightly cheaper. This isn't a barrel/gun built to be only used at a flat range.
Suppressors on rifles try to achieve hearing safe levels last. The main points of a suppressor are noise reduction, not elimination, muzzle report reduction as in flash, tone change so that the noise is harder to pinpoint and it's much better for neighbors, fellow hunters and nature.
The housing is the only integral part. You can unscrew the end and remove the baffles for cleaning. Having the housing integral means only one $200 tax stamp instead of 2.

Plenty of handguards that should be big enough to slip over. At least there were. Before the apocalypse.
