Sagicor just became a bank relatively recently. It is primarily an insurance company unlike NCB and Scotia, so real estate is a complimentary business for the insurance operations.
How is this legal? They can and are printing money! Antitrust, insider trading, currency manipulation, market manipulation, price gouging/fixing etc… Where in the world has anyone ever heard of a bank: developing the real estate, selling the real estate, making loans for purchase of said real estate, selling insurance for said real estate and AND while setting the price for it all? AGAIN how is this legal?
You see the problem with Jamaicans and Jamaican leaders is that they have no vision. They rather to keep the status quo as it is which drives the underdevelopment and the crime & violence in many places in Jamaica like Spanish Town. Not everyone will appreciate development taking place in Spanish Town but I know those who want to see the elevation of real estate in Spanish Town welcome the development.
Why criticize what the Jamaicans and the Jamaican leaders are trying to accomplish, at least they are making an attempt to improve Spanish Town, since you state that the Leaders have no vision, then I guess you have a vision of what the country should be like, why don't you sell the vision of yours to the people of Jamaica, instead of staying on the sidelines and criticize.
@@zuzu-oi5ki You clearly don't understand my comment. Development in Spanish Town is good. I am criticizing Jamaicans and our leaders because for years they have neglected the place, formed allegiances with criminals and made the town run down. If you read the comments on the video, you can clearly see that people don't think Spanish Town deserves any development. That's a dark mindset. So yes, I can criticize Jamaica while acknowledging that the development is good. People who want to see better for Spanish Town and the rest of Jamaica welcome it. #selah
@@zuzu-oi5ki Did you know that there is a whole re-development plan for Spanish Town that the local government and central government have setting down at parish council gathering dust? Not many people do. If you do an access to information request, you can see it. Trying to work with leaders as an ordinary citizen with no money or influence is like pulling teeth. They make it so hard for citizens that really care. A lot of citizen groups in Spanish Town have tried and failed and are still trying to push development even when parish council, politician, bad man, business man get in their way. Those groups don't always push development because development doesn't benefit them. They are fine with the status quo - the way things are now because money a guh inna fe dem pocket. That is the reality. I'm not a sideline watcher. I vote, pay taxes, participate in civil groups and understand the system that so many Jamaicans are in denial about/ and or don't even know about. Companies like Sagicor need to push development like this because their money talks. You think a bad man can tell Christopher Zacca say him cah do that there? Not a baxide. But regular John Brown cah do dat. Hope you comprehend now.
But u cannot keep it down because of crime because most of those people that do crimes don't live for long and people are not producing children much again so in twenty 3o --40 it would be just slightly pick pocket left there
@@robertwill1694 imagine. The person has West Kingston in their ID and I know for a fact that a development like New Brunswick Village could not happen down there between Denham Town and Tivoli and surrounding communities.
I live in Kingston and every where in Kingston dirty . Uptown down tow . New Kingston mot too bad. Full of smog all when you in the plane and when you reach Kingston tmyou can actually see the smog over Kingston city. So mind your self when you talk about dirty . Wishing. Spanish Town Community a prosperous and harmonious New Year.
I just drove by this place and it is very very beautiful. It is great for the area! I am grateful for the investors who made this a reality.

This is the new trend of
Building mix used development.

True, it's more like sagicor insurance or their wealth creation subsidiary versus the bank

Is it even legal for Sagicor to do this, but I guess Jamaica doesn’t have any antitrust laws.
Brunswick ave is not the ghetto side of spanish . It is the outskirts of spanish town

I am answering my own question on location, I now have it
Please remember portmore is sea . Please and thank you . The shore lines have started to .......already
Sagicor is wasting investors money, think of Mineral Heights Mall, the Millenium mall in May Pen.

@zuzu-oi5ki If they want to improve this area, they should help the locals.
Not build unaffordable houses with expats taking over.

The problem is that it is in Spanish Town. If this was in Portmore , would have nothing to say. People don’t want to be in Spanish Town.
