Hey abbey! I love your videos! I have a question; I have horrible hormonal acne and the doctors say I have an inflammation in my body. They recommended me to stop eating certain foods like sugar, gluten, dairy. I also have binge eating disorder. Watching your videos made me understand that I need to start eating intuitively to recover from my binge eating disorder. Plus I'm also overweight. How can I be an intuitive eater and also heal my body from the inflammation that's causing me lots of trouble?

I don’t think you should be commenting on someone filming something like journaling because it’s “unnatural” when you’ve most definitely capitalized on personal moments yourself by filming them for content for UA-cam. When you produce videos for a living that’s a part of your job.

So I agree when you say that filming yourself while you are having a “zen”moment it’s not realistic but also.. she creates content, and for some reason people enjoy watching that kind of content. So I don’t understand why being judgmental about that.

    • @codename495
      @codename495 2 роки тому +28

She’s not being judge mental, she’s calling to light the reality of content creation like that. She’s filming herself journaling, not teaching people how to journal.

Yeah. Also, I think it’s obvious that when she creates a “what I do in a day” or some video similar, that she’s going to film her best version of a typical day (because we all know some days just aren’t gonna be like the rest 😂). If she were filming her zen moment every day, that’d be weird. But filming it to show an example isn’t. It’s not like she places a camera in front of her every day to do an IG live of her journaling.

    • @mflor1577

I've seen an improvement since reducing my carb intake, and incorporating healthy fats like olive oil and avocado oil (can't forget butter!), whilst still indulging in some fruits like peaches and eating vegetables like sweet potato.

Abbey and Sanne are two of my favorite foodies to watch on YT. I feel like this video doesn't do Sanne justice though because she tends to vlog WIEIAD's that are very balanced and nourishing - 3 intuitively portioned meals with carbs, proteins, and fats, and a few snacks through out the day/dessert...also a decent amount of going out to eat. I do also like her videos for being esthetically pleasing and agree that a lot of her food recommendations aren't necessarily achievable for others - myself included $$$. I feel like she enjoys experimenting with different diets and those are her most controversial vlogs - but, in the way I perceive it, there is no ill-intent. Just her vlogging what she's trying for her personal body and journey. It is interesting to see a nutritionist speak on it and, I love you Abbey!!!, but I think she has better videos to speak on than when she vlogs ones like this. Note - she also doesn't drink lemon water 😂 She has a passion for cooking and I think it shows. I'd personally love a collab between the two of you two educate and discuss the topics you presented here and I also just love both of your personalities and think it would be fun to see a duo! The kindness from both of you shows through the lens! saying all of this from my personal perception of both channels and love to you both! Cheers to health, wellness, and balance. xx

Sooo, for me it was not only a little more food and a little weight gain that was necessary to get a period. At 16 I had never got a period in my life and my gynecologist told me to gain weight, well after 3-4 kg nothing happened and I had to gain over 8kg in total in a year (while strength training) to get my first ever period at 17, yes I was pretty underweight before but I now weigh 4kg more than necessary to be a "healthy weight" according to BMI. I was eating 2500+ calories most of the time which despite my small frame was very necessary considering my workouts and my overall activity level. I watched a lot of videos of women with the same problem who were trying to solve this problem with all kinds of supplements, when really the only solution in most cases is more food and weight gain.

I got used to it of course, but the first year of cutting out gluten was not funny at all. I was diagnosed with fructose malabsorption last September and I also have issues digesting dairy. So when I finished the probiotic Omnibiotic-6 my doctor gave me, I switched to AG1 because the 75 vitamins would make me feel less stressed about eating 500 grams of veggies a day to make sure I cover all essential vitamins. I also supplement Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 anyway. Do you think AG1 is making a difference here and necessary or just over-priced and I could go back to any probiotics or no probiotics at all?

I have an ED but in my country (France) we aren’t given a lot of help to recover or understand our problems… So I turned to English resources since there are a lot more than French ones. What made me confuse for so long was how different English speaking people «generally» eat compared to what French dietician advise!
For exemple: for lunch, I see a lot of English speakers eating a main dish with carbs, protein and vegetables. However, what is advised and common in France is a main dish (same as for English speakers) BUT we add a portion of raw vegetables/salad before the main dish, and then a dairy product (cheese or yogurt) with a fruit.
It really confused the side of me that wanted to eat «perfectly» bcs of how much food recommendations seem to be different from a country to another.

I finally tried the built bars, I now understand why you take a dance break while you eat them. It does feel great to eat a low calorie chocolate bar with protein in it. My body is grateful for the extra nutrition in a yummy treat. Thank goodness!

I take the AG stuff. It’s not to bad, the texture isn’t great and honestly they don’t taste particularly good however it’s no more than a multivitamin in drink form.

I take it as well. The way I see it I get my vitamins and hydrated first thing! I think I was low in some vitamins because I do feel better after taking it, and need less coffee!

Ive never felt the need to put a “negative” comment on here before until now.
I guess it’s because I feel a bit attacked. But what I can say about filming yourself doing these so called “zen” activities is that you are better able to share with others across the internet as an influencer. Personally I like to see rather than just to hear about what someone is doing.
So please Abbey I ask that you keep an open mind on both spectrums when it comes to content creators and people who film their lives in general. At the end of the day what matters is intention.

I've realised, that if I don't have a good amount of carbohydrate for breakfast I'm hungry all day and I eat so much snacks, I just get so much cravings. So I make sure that I eat 1-2 slice of whole grain bread with eggs or something else and keeps me full until lunch. Oatmeal doesn't work for me, after 1 hour I'm so hungry.

You should do a video on UA-camr Christine Kobzeff. She just release a new What I Eat in a day and, while incredibly healthy, it seems incredibly restrictive. I'm curious to know your thoughts, specifically when she talks about getting breakouts due to what she eats.

Please comment on Ozempic..Shallon Lester just did a weight loss video, claiming she has hypoglycemia, so an Endo prescribed it for her. Seeing it recommended in Tik Tok as well❤️

Weird because low carb/keto keeps me regular but I have PCOS. I think there is a scale for carb tolerances.

Can you do a review on Seed Synbiotics? I caved into the hype and have been taking them for close to 4 months now and I am curious if they are legit or if I’m just wasting $50 a month.

Whatever happened to the movement that started to appreciate womens' healthy and realistic bodies instead of underweight or obese? I gained 35 pounds last year, and so far this year I have lost 10 pounds in 2 months! I'm almost back to being a normal weight instead of overweight. I think I have built muscle too since I can now leg press 115 lbs no problem and 2 months ago my max was 90. Even when I was my lowest at 125 lbs I still thought I needed to lose 10 lbs 😥 now I was going down that dark path again wanting to get lean but thanks to this video I want to keep my body fat percentage at a healthy level for a woman. The weight fluctuations completely changed my cycle too. But I feel the best when I eat right and ENOUGH and I exercise. Thank you so much for being a beacon in nutrition that I can go to!
