When I was a little boy, I was fascinated by this really strange and robotic voice. Every time, I closed my eyes and in my mind, I always saw me floating in space. In front of me, there was a magnificent and gigantic spacecraft with a massive light that lit up our planet, and then, there was that mysterious but reassuring and soothing voice delivering this message to all of humanity.
Heard this for the first time in 81 when I was 18. I was walking across a dance floor in a club and the end of Prologue boomed with those speakers all around and it absolutely blew me away.

This album came out my senior year in high school. All the songs on this album take me back, but Twilight really touches me emotionally and reminds me of my last year in high school and the cuties that got away. The robotic voice at the beginning of the song is magical with such a deep story to tell.🎵🎶🌛🌞

I remember, almost EVERY morning on the way to high school on our bus (Our bus driver was ONE COOL OLD DUDE who set up a stereo system on his bus and played OUR music), for months it seemed, around the same time in the morning, our local Pop/Top40/Rock station, K-92, played Twilight WITH the Prologue. One of the DJs was definitely an ELO fan! (Thank God)

God, I remember this being one of my favorite songs as a kid. This was one of the songs that could send me flying around the room as a toddler. Whenever mom or dad got the record out for ELO's Time I absolutely went wild, because of this song. Good damn memories.

When this album came out in '81 it was such a fresh breath of air from a band that I'd followed for years in the 70's, but figured that they were dead after the debacles of Discovery and Xanadu. I'm glad this album proved me wrong - and it opened with one hell of a track!

When this album came out in '81 it was such a fresh breath of air from a band that I'd followed for years in the 70's, but figured that they were dead after the debacles of Discovery and Xanadu. I'm glad this album proved me wrong - and it opened with one hell of a track!
Check 2:31 the little meteor at the beggining of the lyrics gave it a magic touch to that stanza, i really love this song
