i mean..i love freedom but has the crowd ever been in a punk pit before? I feel like circle pits don't even exist at hardcore punk shows even though some of the songs have a gnarly punk beat going lmao on top of that, the only time I see people pit is when there's a two step beat going on. Kudos to those who tried.
I 100% agree with you. Theres a lack of willingness to let loose and enjoy yourself at shows it seems. There's just a strange uptightness from a majority of the crowd and a lack of interest in being anything other than an outside spectator.
Cameron Nunez I've seen that before as well. It sucks to see good bands put in some punk beats and just overall good material yet the crowd stands around like a stick is far up their asses and is only willing enough to pit when there's only certain beats going. I really hope this isn't the case when freedom comes over here to cali next month.
meatboygenius but all I see is a bunch of people...not really doing anything just swinging their arms and kicking feet to the beat. while the by standards just watch. I really don't see anyone "beating the shit out of each other" with this style. unlike punk or even metal, people are pushing, shoving, stomping, getting trampled, getting picked up, leaving with blood noses, chipped tooth etc..thats the kind of pits I wanna see more in hardcore punk shows like back then. Those are the pits I'd love to tell people about. That wild shit.
