I think medical insurance should definitely cover surrogacy!
As you share the surrogate option...be cognizant of how EXTREMELY elite and out of reach this option is for 99.9% of couples dealing with infertility. Personally, I would start with a statement reflecting this privilege AND start a grant/foundation so others can explore this option. Otherwise, you come across as tone deaf to all the other families struggling with the barely even having money for medical options with infertility, much less even consider surrogacy....
I'm sure they're aware of this, but why does someone else's infertility need to be their problem?
Yeah, it is like $200,000, so insurmountable
We understand the hardships that comes with surrogacy, but how does this becomes this couples problem.
@@user-iv4hj7gn2k When a High profile couple Publicly discusses surrogacy, it is wise to start from a place of humility and awareness. I think this is wise with many solutions that the wealthy go public with and don't realize how it can come across.
@@ctnbanks8753 We (myself included) should always be aware of our privilege, especially when we discuss our blessings publicly. It's like the co-worker that talks about the "amazing" trips that take, while sitting next to the coworker that can barely afford to go out to eat. This is something we should all be aware of.
