If I want to start a Short Term Rental Business (aka AirBNB, VRBO, etc) and use ALL net revenue to invest in passive real estate, can I simply save the funds in my C-Corp until there is enough to invest and then lend the funds to my LLC to buy passive income real estate?
How should high income W2 individuals structure? Say someone is a qualified investor who invests in real estate as a LP with the goal of eventually being a GP. Should they start an LLC and invest through the LLC if they are still investing as a LP? Can they write off any travel, education etc against their W2? What about the depression? If they are not a real estate professional, what is the best way to use depreciation? I know many people who invest thin syndications without an entity. Do you consult with people on this level or do you have any recommendations for an accounting/legal form for a Californian who invests primarily out of state?

My understanding is W2s get nothing. Because they consume for personal gain.
