Australia is very strict when it comes to student visas . Even if a student downgrades from masters to diploma level then at that time :- the subclass of the visa would change apparently . So in that case the current visa doesn’t remain any more valid and the student has to apply for an onshore fresh application which certainly would get refused . Because the immigration would ask , that why you want to downgrade your course and their won’t be any good justification for that , because when the GTE interview was conducted at that time the student indicates his intentions to study in Australia and not to choose a course that is in the skilled list . They very well understand the intentions .
Majority of the students are forced to apply to level 1 universities in order to get high visa success rate but they found it very hard to pay the fees which is generally $30000 per year because of which they change to trade courses and colleges. My question is that can i change my bachelor degree from University to other uni/college which have low fees in same field ?
@@yashsharma3292 well you can try changing to other university with of course a lower fees but try not downgrade your course level without consulting an immigration lawyer . Because the immigration would definitely ask you that why do you want to change your course . So it’s better and much advisable to consult a lawyer before doing anything . Because if you don’t have a justified reason and the officer is not satisfied with your reason for changing to a low level course in a trade college ( TAFE ) then for sure the immigration officer would decline your application . So better consult someone .

The reason people got deported is because they didn’t lodge for a new student visa after downgrading their course…after 6 months if you are planning to change course like from one bachelors to bachelors…that you can without applying for a new visa. But if you are changing from bachelors to trade courses, you have to apply for a new visa even if that’s after 6 months

Try visiting Bunnings on weekends you will see the number of customers are reduced and i can feel the difference very easily. I am telling you based on working in IT from 15-16 yrs. I have seen 2008 recession as well.

Yes after 6 months, u can move to trade course but as you are downgrading AQF level of yours study , so you need to file onshore visa again

@@kshitijverma1650 yup that could be true but I’ve compared many colleges and the cheapest one is kaplan business school I think ( 25,200 $) , others are at least 30k .

Hey Aarzoo, I have a friend who flew to Australia 2 months back with a visit visa and then changed it to student visa by taking admission in a diploma course (Cookery) and now living there and working too and has not faced any issues till date.
