Hi! I'm a bit confused by your question. The Air motor and Fluid section are connected by a pin at the top of the fluid piston rod (visible piston that goes up and down). Once you disconnect that pin, The only thing keeping those 2 sections together are the 3 support bars. Once you take the nuts off the bottom of these bars, it should separate from the fluid section! Hopefully that answered your question! If you have any other questions, feel free to give us a call at 800-638-4410, or email service@grapekbates.com
When I try to remove the exhaust valve the piston rod turns freely. Does this mean something has come lose in the air motor? Any thoughts will be a help. Thanks,Mike
Try putting a pin through the hole where the air motor piston and fluid section piston rod connect. This will allow you to thread off the exhaust valve assembly.

We use a teflon grease. Some of the repair kits from Kremlin supply a small tube of this. The part number on our website for a 1 pound container of this grease is 560-440-001. You can follow this link to see that part on our website - www.grapekaction.com/grease-teflon-450-g-560-440-001
Can you remove the air assembly alone or do you have to take off the bottom section first?
