What might the iron be from? When else has vivianite been present?Why might there have been a tree in the moat? Was it worked? De-barked? Less musical interludes and backhoes, more story, please!

Interesting. I hope that there will be a more extensive presentation of the dig. I know that it isn't Time Team, but since I live in the Rocky Mountains, in the US, I will never get a chance to go see the castle in person.
