The fact that the movie theater was practically empty and the shooter sat right behind the victim and instigated the event makes me suspicious that it was a target assassination.

Crime is out of control here in Houston and the “justice”system is a revolving door and a joke.
Thank God we still have the right to defend ourselves from these predators here in Texas

Being threatened in the United States is continuous and alway life threatening. However many Stand Your Grounders play the victim and guide them into confrontation.

Justifiable Shooting(Self Defense) sits around 2% in the US, except... When it's a white shooter and black victim it jumps up to 17-20%(depending on the source). Strangely, its .8% Justified when both parties are black.

@@ting2222 I would suggest checking it out on the FBI statistics on their site(Where I got my stats), demographic breakdowns, but there are a bunch of different aggregate sites. Yes, all groups are usually attacked by people in their group. Because everyone usually lives in proximity, and has relationships within their group. But if African Americans cause all of the trouble, why would the self defense percentage be so low? Are the bad guys alway winning? No one ever successfully defends themselves, yet simultaneously, always the aggressors if they live?

He was not exonerated by "STAND YOUR GROUND DEFENSE." He had to go through a proper trial with a proper vetted jury. Per the US Constitution, all accused Americans have a right to be judged by a jury of their peers. AMERICA ROCKS! LAND OF THE FREE, HOME OF THE BRAVE! In the US, we have over 1,000 firearms per 100 families. That statistic was released in 2015, so I'm sure it's probably increased by double now in 2023! Not to mention all the firearms handed down per family tradition, & unreported firearms that are most likely not reflected in those 2015 statistics!

Treyvon was beating the guy up when he was shot. If you enter a house illegally, then you put yourself in danger and the homeowner shouldn't have to retreat, approach me on the streets and I'll do whatever before violence.

If you threaten to murder me and approach me, you forfeit your life. In states that don't have stand your ground laws, you have to prove that you tried everything you could to get out of the situation. If you use deadly force, and can't prove it was your last and only option, you're going to prison and you'll be sued by the family of the alleged victim. Most times, you don't have time to try to get away and your only change is to stand your ground. Stand your ground isn't a license to kill, it's a freedom to protect mine and others lives.
