- The S&W M&P FPC 9mm Carbine is a folding option that's very compact with the M&P 2.0 features to make it very reliable. This one really surprised me! Thanks to Smith & Wesson for Providing the FPC for this review and as always, a huge thanks to Fiocchi USA for supplying our ammunition!

I've seen other reviews for this gun, but this one is by far the most comprehensive and thorough review yet.
Picked one up a week ago. Paired it with a Sig Romeo MSR green dot. It was easy to sight in and shoots splendidly!
Is it difficult to clean?
I had been looking for a truck gun and this is the ticket!
Several 100 round failure free. I'm not disappointed.
I just picked one up this week, and I’m very happy with it. I made a short video on how to get those magazines out while the weapon is shouldered. Get one - I think you’ll like it.
Wish it came with at least iron sights, I love the bag and extra mags with the backstrap upgrades. I’ve thrown a vortex strikefire 2, magpul vertical grip front and rear Ruger flip up sights on mine all in about $900 for a great gun. I’m looking into upgrading the buffer spring for recoil and the stock eventually once an upgrade is available
I agree. That said, the 3rd mag is a decent trade off imo. Cheap iron sights are less than an extra mag.
I'm really happy with mine.
thank you for this!!! one note: at 14:35, you can pull on the circular spring thing itself to release the stock
Best review for the S&W FPC! 👏
Excellent review, very informative. This gun is at the top of my shopping list.
You do a awesome job, explaining and good videos of close-ups
Excellent information! Thanks!
Can't wait to get a hold of mines
Picking up mine on the 19th ( 10 day waiting period). Can not wait to bring this to the range. Being from California, not too thrilled about the "fin" grip and the 10 round mags. Which sucks, big time!!!
The rear mag release is one continuous piece. Instead of pushing the mag release down, pull it up and the corresponding magazine will release.
Beside the ability to fold, the significant appeal to the Sub 2000 is the ability to use magazine of various manufacturers!
That is my number 1 downer on this. I love my fpc but wish i could use Glock mags. If it could, then it would be perfect in my book.
@@doughoist - Yeah I had the Sub-2000 that took my numerous Sig mag, but just had too many characteristic that I didn’t like.
M&P has hinted at being able to add other mag wells for Sig & Glock
@@doughoistrumor is there going to make Sig & Glock mags compatible. That would be cool
@@MittenStateEDC - That would be cool. Thanks!
Love mine, probably about 200 rounds through it thus far & Sig Romeo 5 on it & all is good. Love it (not the bolt release obviously).
Great review. Thanks
Awesome review!👍🏻👍🏻
When you remove the stock, just pull the center pin, no need to pull on the mag release wings... to reinstall butt just insert the buffer tube and push down it will snap in, use blue lock-tite on the thread protector or muzzle device as it will keep getting loose. Very accurate! I was able to get a 3 inch 5 round group at 100 yards with a red-dot
Great Video! Thanks
Ive sent about 5k rounds through ours so far. No FTF's, no bad ejections, no jams. Only issue is it gets very dirty and needs to be cleaned often. The bolt carrier gets sticky if you dont. Removing carbon off the bolt is hectic. Ive tried every variation of cleaner around. I even took it past field strip and polished the internals. Still had the issue.
Ammo choice?
@@radiohobbyist13 Ive ran just about every brand through it. even my own reloads. Everything seems to shoot well through the FPC. The buffer system does quiet an amazing job.
I'm on the fence between the FPC and the Ruger PCC. I own both S&W, and Ruger firearms. But, ive been wanting a rifle in 9mm. It's a good problem to have.
Get the FPC!! I love mine and it's a conversation starter at the range too.
I bought both. They both are great
Polymer handguard is the only downer for me. From smith I was expecting aluminum.
What optic is that exactly?
Having both the kel-tec and FPC , the FPC is hands down better. Kel-tec even with Mcarbo updates doesn’t come close to the M&P. My kel-tec had a bad heat treat on barrel so got a recall, sent in and they had for 5 months and sent back and front sight was canted off center. Kel-tec sub 2000 = bad gun & bad customer service, bad quality. Highly advise the m&p over the kel tec especially if the follow through with adding glock & sig mag wells like they hinted at. Thx for sharing Scootch great review.
Love mine, but I still can’t figure out why they designed the mag holders like they did. Yes, the release is counter-intuitive, but my issue with the magazine orientation. The mags sit in the stock bullet down. You then have to manipulate and turn the mag around before inserting into the grip. If they were simply held bullet facing up, they could be removed and, in a natural movement, insert into the grip. Minor issue for a great gun, but just poorly designed. Oh, and the bolt release leverage are useless.
Nice
Have you noticed any hammer marks on the bolt? Will it need replacement? Thanks!
What size riser are you using on for the red dot?
does this take the Shield Plus Performance Center stock mags?
M&P mags
Cant compare the keltec to the smith and wesson. Thanks for the video but the smith is far superior to the undergrad keltec
To me, it looks like a gun needs to be pointing downward to get the mags to slip out into your hand. Red dot Green blah blah blah. no iron sites?. Most won’t have the pleasure of a red dot in a apocalyptic scenario. Learn to shoot using good old fashion iron sites FIRST, if I get an fpc I’m adding them… that’s why I didn’t give a damn about the way to kel-tec folds in the first place. I think, having the mags readily at hand sets gun apart, not the way it folds. And I’m imagining Smith and Wesson "more expensive probably more indestructible/ reliable, than a sub 2k. I don’t understand why people are complaining about the stock mag release? I think it’s great just in case of emergency last resort only. carry a few extra mags "like you would with any other gun And stfu. "Perhaps I should get this pistol caliber carbine to pair with my 5.7 S&W Long gun caliber handgun.🤠Lol
thanks putin
👍👍👍👍💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
Gen 1 is good i line it. But it need the maga turned around in the stock and an adjustable stock so the charging handle stops bumping my face
