Yeah totally agree. Classic's End Game can leave a lot to be desired. If you don't have a group, or are on during non raiding hours, you are either grinding AV or grinding consumes. Get's very repetitive.
The best? I can't get over having just 1 ability and no way to outplay most situations when you fuck up. I would most like kind of hybrid between retail and classic that would be as difficult as classic but you would get more abillities earlier.
Nah 1-10 sucks man. You have no abilities, shit gear, doing the same quests you've done a million times. Thank God it's short.

Im a Wow noob and I started with Harcore. Have died 3 times already. Highest level was 12. I just have no idea what is danger zones and what isnt.... having said that.. Im having a ridiculous amount of fun! I didn't find any bow/weapon upgrades until I hit orgimar. SFS is really fun.
Played since vanilla. I was killed by a 44 elite dragon in a 30 area. It happens

If barbarians are akin to Vikings, then they should use shields. Vikings used methods like the shield wall. This is also apparent in Spartan culture. Both seem very barbarian-like to me.

I think that harness type chests should be legal. They are as barbarian as bare chest, but you know, with some stats.

you can already do SSF, just no point if you're the only one. that's why they should make 1 extra SSF server for every region without mob tagging like retail so scarce quest mobs aren't cancer

Xaryu should learn Heroic Strike cancel, really pushes dps for dual wielding. Also more fun gameplay to keep up and perfect.

@@brianallen1559 here's the long explanation. White miss chance is around 24% while dual wielding, and yellow hits (i.e abilitys such bloodthirst or heroic strike) has 6% miss chance, vs mobs three levels above you (bosses at 60). It's a bit different if you account different weapon skill but the takeaway - yellow hits hit far more.
In wow classic the warrior community found out that your offhand is affected by the same hit chance as your yellow swings as soon as you press heroic strike. So that means that if you press HS when your swing timer starts, every offhand hit has a 20% higher chance to land and yield rage in the window from when you toggle HS until you MH swing lands. The trick is to cancel your HS before the swing lands, to not waste rage on the HS, let your MH land and deal its white hit, then repress HS asap to continue the cycle.
The idea is that you get a lot more rage to work with and therefore do a whole lot more damage.

There were warriors with only shield, axe, boots helmet and gloves. They didnt really need body armor because of their big shield but idk if it counts as barbarian
Being agi war gives you crit and dodge mostly. That crusader proc just brings you up where you should be in str mail gear :p

I am having audio issues tho, it's kinda like tearing at certain notes. Don't know if there's an easy fix for it or nah.
Blizz should bring ssf to hardcore. Let them run around in the same world but impose the ironman restrictions on them and give them a buff like the ears. The buff can stay if you die at 60 or just tracks when you die if you decide to transfer.

Depends on the type of "barb" you're basing this off of. If you're basing it off vikings, they 100% use a shield.

Dual wielding makes you a berserker, a two hand makes you a barbarian. Also I think blocking all mailboxes trades and ah’s and disabling grouping when more than 20 yds from a merting stone would be good for ssf, then if you make it to 60 restrictions are lifted and you get a buff to display to everyone. That way you dont split the playerbase further and satisfy both sides.
We do it for the glory, also, fully twinked out :P

Its intresting that you view Wikings nor as Important enogh to include them in your chalange. There Main fightstile is basicly a row of warriors saving there one with shields like a livinge wall. this fightstile is truly called Shieldwall. Berserker Rage is also a therm of a Winking Warrior in a deep Rage godly praysing mannor. If you can see the Wikings as an sort of Barbarian you should be able to take a Shield some times.

I think if Blizzard wanted to do SSF they would need to allow you to have more than 2 professions or maybe roll professions together or even have something similar to Group Ironman in Runescape, you have 5 Characters so then you can only trade within your group. The reason for this would be because say you want Pots/Flask at the end game you need Herb and Alch, that then means you can't have Enchanting to Enchant your Gear. Enchanting also needs Rods, Rods are made with Blacksmithing, blacksmithing needs to be done with Mining.
Ssf is not meant for end game. That being said, it becomes exponentially more interesting and fun to see non-full bis gears and people with scuffed enchant-flask combinations due to some of them having enchanting and some having alchemy attempt raids together as an ssf raid

Challenge should also be berserker stance only on unlock.

When determining mainhand and offhand - remember to prioritize the top end damage of the weapon when considering which to use in which hand. The best way to judge the top end damage is to look at the damage ranges on your character panel, but that does require you to equip the weapon to compare - so looking at the weapon's damage ranges/speed/dps is usually a good enough way to decide.
Your main hand should always get your highest top end damage weapon regardless of dps (unless it's significantly higher dps). A fast, high dps weapon with a tight damage range is excellent for an offhand and consistent rage generation.
Slow weapons in your OH create feast-and-famine cycles for rage. If you have a lot of +hit this doesn't matter, but in the early game it can be pretty punishing and create unpredicability - you can use HS queing to minimize this.
All else equal, as a warr in Vanilla, you will always do more damage with slow weapons than with fast ones because of weapon normalization. This is what makes Deathbringer (Ony) hit nearly as hard as the GM/HW weapons and makes it more desireable as a MH than some later phase, faster weapons.
You can pretty much pick your favorite OH for lvl 26. In your case I would likely go Butcher MH/Cruel Barb OH. But if you prio rage consistency and easy HS queing: before you get +hit it could be argued that a faster, higher dps OH would be preferable.
The exceptions to this are dagger warriors or dual wielding extremely fast weapons. Dagger warriors are extremely viable in the midgame-phase raids (around BWL) because warriors are in that special gearing spot where they can get rage-capped between OH swings too easily if not using HS and becoming rage-starved while using it. At that point in the game a dagger warrior would be able to more easily hit HSs while managing their rage.
Even in that scenerio, because of weapon normalization (and +wpn skill) if fast weapons are your best options available then you would prefer a 1h over a dagger because of weapon normalization.
As soon as you pass the threshhold of being able to use HS on every global; a slow weapon warr will skyrocket above the fast weapon warr.
I know you are a multi-glad chad, but this is warrior tech -and you are magebrain so I wouldn't presume that you should know it already.

SSF was fun, and I got a war to 60, but I will never do it again. The official realm is much more fun, but also much easier 😆.
OP spec is really good for dual wield but fury is better for tanking because the piercing howl and slightly more survivable

I would be down with a SSF version with one rule in mind. I can send mail out. (Not receive) This way... if you do find a cool BoE or World Drop you can still have use of it on another character that may not be SSF and deem the item useless. Imagine getting a Staff of Jordan and you are playing a rogue. oof.

Barbarian originates from Greek Bárbaros, which was used by early Greeks for any foreigners, even Romans were seen as barbarians.
They used all forms of weapons, but possibly mainly spears, many had shields and used all forms of armours, from linen, leather, pelt to mail or leather with metal plates.
Really depends if you are going for true barbarian or fantasy barbarian, albeit I assume the latter.
well to be honest barbarians were master of all trades able to use an tyoe of weapon to adjust to any enemy or situation at least in combat they were pretty well prepare fighters amoung all the ages so yeah you could go duel two arm shiel and one handaded is really open now if you wanted to go knigth then you would be limited mostly to two handed weapon since thye rarely one shield and one handead keep up the challange it awesome cant wait to see you raid with barb
