If someone here is actually clueless as to why he kept saying that the movie looks like Look Back, it's because that's another work from Tatsuki Fujimoto(CSM's creator) that was animated and differently from CSM Season 1 it remained faithful to Fujimoto's art style.
also, the director of Look Back is LITERALLY the devil designer in the production so yeah, no wonder the devil designs look on par with Fujimoto's style
Imo Look back art style was completely different the only reason they both feel similar is because they are originally drawn by fujimoto and character designers are trying to capture that
It's the S1 staff + a couple new top tier freelancers. I have also heard talks of Tatsuya Nagamine being a key animator for this movie (he animated Gear 5's heart beat sequence for Toei Animation).
@@BigPizza9876 No, they just had another 3DCG director in addition to the original 3D director. But Nakayama could be a Unit Director for all we know since they didn't release the Unut Directors list.
Oooooooooh, Let’s freaking go guys, we are officially revving our chainsaws with this one!!! I legit love the animation style in this movie WAY more than what it was in S1!!! I hope that they keep this style in S2 of the anime
0:34 dont be saying this should have been out cuz anytime something comes out prematurely like season 2 of jjk everyone is talking about how they should of let the animators cook for longer as they should have
As someone who chooses to watch anime in sub 9 times out of 10, I definitely recommend chainsaw man in dub as well. They did a great job, so If anyone of yall want to rewatch season 1 before the movie, give the dub a chance.
Thanks a lot for your great reaction😄....this movie director been changed from Nakayama 'Dragon' to Yoshiwara Tatsuya, his works Black Clover series 🙄In some opinion, this movie be better...Reze arc is the one of best stories, be big expectation !
Honestly all these changes that you see can be chalked up to the change of directors. Season 1 director Ryu Nakayama wanted to focus on a more "live-action" take of chainsaw man But the director for this movie tatsuya yoshihara, who was the director for Black clover and wistoria, cares more about the cinematography, action, and animation side😊
What? The first director is literally the best at cinematography. The only difference is it looks more cartoony which completely changes the vibe from unique to generic IMO
@DirtFather407 yeah I guess cinematography wasn't the correct word. But when it comes to yoshihara, he is known as the king of Web-Gen animators, which is known as the most expressive of animators, so this movie will definitely be anything but generic.
@@owenbridgers Agreed, flat is exactly the word I would use. Some comments seem to want a 1:1 visual copy of the manga, but season 1 was a stunning adaptation and the character artwork looked more movie quality imo
Well if you want bland action sequences then you do you man. I loved s1 but the fights was not the strong suit of the show at all. Oh well the japanese decide and they seemed to have fallen in love with this artstyle so
@@owenbridgers The main critique of S1 was actually it being too cinematic for Chainsaw Man. People wanted it to be more animated and fluid and we finally got that with this movie. It only feels flatter because they aren't prioritising shading as much but rather the overall animation is going to be way more fluid and dynamic because of this. It's really a trade off tbh, its either we get limited animation variety (basically no experimental stuff) or we get very experimental and fun stuff, it can never be both (unless it's freiren or one piece or smth like that).

Thanks! I should of clarified that in the video lol
The character designs are all Fujimoto after all.

@@sammalla5238 Yea he's the same Devil Designer of season 1 but now they added an additional one
Yeah, im sold again!!!! been watching your content for over two years now, I could feel your excitement. CSM fans needed this!!! FIRST IN LINE, DAY 1
This is beyond PEAK.worth every second of wait.WE WILL BE THEREEEEE! !

btw, almost every main staff members are same as season 1, director is the only one who got replaced.
The only staff that was fired is the CGI

Honestly, same! With the insanity of chainsaw man this style fits so much better.
An arc tier list would be DA BOMB😹
Reze my beloved is finally got animated 🥺

You're right. Imma stop saying that for future projects.
Yeah, the wait definitely seems worth it now
Absolute cinema
I really hope they capture the horror when bomb girl attacks that public safety facility
If we had already got this movie it would not be the masterpiece it seems to be

Tornado AKA Typhoooooon Devil …!!!!!
We are so back
I am just so happy to see Reze finally make an appearance, the best female character in the franchise (in my opinion) by FAR

Coming Soon in October 2025
That's obliged
It also looks like jjk season 2.
Atleast 5:58
I prefer the old art style, I hope they still incorporate it cause it looks too 2D to me too cartoony
I think it looks good, but personally I much prefer the animation style of season 1
Yeah I really need to see more of this, idk just compared to the Anime it looks a bit.. Flat?
No thx, you can enjoy that souless bland coloring with slow action
