Man, I want to make my own story into a comic...but sadly I am not that good at art. But I have my own imagination for the story...I even written down ending also and the name for the comic, the theme, to the what kind of power base is going to be used and the world build.

You only have to be great in storytelling!!! If you don’t want to try that, write it as a novel or a screenplay. There are many avenues for your story!!!

I'm mesmerized by how you start you drawing, Nick. I can't really see much of the initial lines but from what i can make of it you didn't start with a shape. Is that correct? You just started it with a light line for the whole body and only after that you used the pointed end of the pencil to make the initial lines thicker, more visible.
I wish i knew how to do that. Everytime i try to add in the details afterwards, the body just feels disproportionate. The muscles don't liok right. That's why i always use shape like boxes or ovals for the torso and pelvis first. Then cylinders for the limbs but even then the body still feels disproportionate after i decided to embolden my initial sketch.
Seeing you do it with just one stroke without any erasing is truly a treat. Its inspiring everytime i see your shorts. Let alone seeing this long form demonstration of your skills. I still can't get my head around how you do it though 😂 another marvelous comicbook art, Mr Gnazzo 👏

Yeah, I had the same problems back then. I'm not a professional like Mr Gnazzo here but my drawings finally start to look satisfying. It's an iterative process. Don't fear to erase and redraw often as a beginner. If it doesn't look right find the reason, erase it and redraw it. It's the only way. Do it often enough and you will draw it right the first time.

Thank you for the wonderful comment. I understand totally, but what you don’t see in my sketches are the many years I spent drawing from life. The shapes are always in my head, what you see is a type of “shorthand” to drawing. Drawing is a mechanical skill, so the more you do it the better you get. So keep working and practicing you can only get better. Try to capture the gesture. Does it have the movement you like? Then build from there. Keep an eye on your composition, negative shapes and line weight. If you have any questions you can always contact me here or the other social medias I am on. I will always answer. Good luck on your drawing!!!

Yes, destruction is a part of creation. Try your best, don’t fall in love with a line, complete your drawing and move on to the next one. Good or bad you will always be better on the next one. Draw, create and evolve!

@@nickgnazzo thank you, Mr Gnazzo 👍 I guess you're right. I do sometimes tend to neglect my gesture drawing because I'm not too confident on it. Maybe it's time I face my fears and hunker down and draw from sources until I got it memorised. Thank you, thank you.
