Purchased it yesterday. AMAZING add-on. I flew from Boston to Scranton this morning on an IFR flight plan in beautiful VMC. Upon arrival there was a 13 kt cross wind at 90 degrees from the left. This plane handled it WONDERFULLY. Very realistic! GREAT job, A2A! A new standard now exists for MSFS 2020 (and honestly, 2024).

Good morning from the States, This is Guerry, and my overwhelming response to this aircraft has to be a most impressive, “WOW!” Of all the flight demonstrations I’ve viewed, I completely appreciate the attention to detail A2A has done with this aircraft. Although the price for it is on the upper end, I believe one receives that for which he has paid, and I think this aircraft is well worth the price. The A2A staff did a great job of research, and its programming staff did an excellent job of creating a simulated aircraft that is within the budget of MSFS pilots. Most impressive to me is the idea of operating the aircraft via a virtual computer engine, which allows the user to immediately change configurations with a tablet. For me, this is so much more convenient than making changes through the MSFS’s menus. I also liked how the pilot could immediately inspect the aircraft’s status through the menu. In regards to the graphics, phenomenal! Without having to zoom in on anything in particular, I was able to read each of the instruments from the pilots normal seated position. For me, this is a first. I thought the exterior wear and tear looked realistic. Could A2A done better? Of course. But for all the work that would have been necessary, I am more than happy to accept the workmanship as is. I truly enjoyed the ability to do the exterior walk around. This genially added a realm of realism and enjoyment I’ve not witnessed in other aircraft. I do wonder how contaminants would have been depicted in the fuel within the testing jars? The rain on the windshield appeared very realistic. Even though the sound was louder than that in other aircraft, my first thought was that the price of a few good headsets in a Comanche is overall much less expensive than purchasing a Bonanza. About the only thing I did find unrealistic was the sound made when opening up the pilots window in flight. My dad used to open his pilot window in flight, and the roar was loud enough to wake someone from general anesthesia. Thank-you again for your demonstration. I really enjoyed my first flight in a Piper aircraft. I do think this aircraft is well worth its price.
Found out if you click the headphone jacks on the left, you can put on headphones and it will reduce some noise. You can further reduce the noise by clicking the button box on the cable that shows up. Because it uses non-simulator sounds, engine noises bypass the in-sim noise reduction feature.
In the engine status screen, the engine analyzer, if im not mistaken, if you lean the mixture “lean of peak”, the orange/brown color there Will turn green, its really awsome what A2A did
It's an amazing aircraft for the sim A2A have done an amazing job. the fun things you can ever jack it up and test the landing gear. It also has wing flex and noise of the wing movement .
Great presentation, especially as you did it right out of the box. I’m currently laid up with recovery from knee replacement, and miss flying my Comanche so much, I’ve taken to watching others do it. I noticed as you were trimming for cruise you failed to pull your prop back. It started driving me a bit to distraction, especially when you noticed your engine running warm. I began to think you might not notice during the video, but you did. It would have been a nice touch to show how that affected your engine temps. Overall, this was a great video your stalls, spin, and recoveries were quite good. As a hint, if you keep the turn coordinator centered, especially with power on, you can avoid a spin.
Great feedback - thankyou :) I often get a strip torn off me for missing things, or not showing things :) I tend to always record first time, and leave mistakes or omissions in - otherwise it makes me look better than I really am :)
Crumbs, that’s good. Will be getting this as seems to offer something in addition to the 310R with regards to the ‘ownership’ experience if that makes sense. Still love the 310 and will continue to use it but A2A’s efforts here are incredible.
I haven't used MSFS in over a year. I still love it but I don't have enough time to keep up with all the updates etc. Every time I start the simulator it takes an hour or more to get going. Maybe I'll resume flying this fall. However, I will buy this plane immediately to support a developer who puts so much work into a product! And if I know A2A it will be updated with time. I'm only into GA aviation and this could be exactly what I've been waiting for!
A quick piece of advice and hopeful sanity saver for those of you who will or have already bought this- especially if you've spent a day trying to figure out why the battery won't power anything and the starter doesn't turn that prop... go immediately to the maintenance section, check inspection and see if you don't have a bad battery.... ( a dead battery on a new plane- who'd guess )
Yep - this can be caused by various controllers that are misconfigured in the sim - and keep operating the start circuit. The Honeycomb hardware is famous for doing it :)
I have been back and forth thinking about getting this aircraft but I think I will off and wait for their Cessna fleet. The 172 is the only aircraft I have experience flying irl.
I agree with you. This appears to be the best GA plane right now. The work that must have gone on to make this is incredible. I'd like to see how the autopilot works and I hope they incorporate the PMS5 GTN750 soon. I bleieve it only has the TDS GTNXi. A short while ago, you bought a pilot's handbook and did some short videos on simulating getting you license. This plane would be great for that as it simulates going around the plane and checking preflight items.
The Pause headtracking button is one of the most used ones on my quadrant LOL At 23 mins you're looking at the engine analyser, the 2 white dots next to each cylinder are the sparks. As long as the dots are nice and big like that you're good, when they start to get smaller and fainter the plugs are fouling, if you can't blow them clean you need to clean them after you land.
Top-notch vid once again and, thx to you, I just made A2A a little wealthier, once again ! 😛 On a side note, I haven't been able yet to find a proper SimBrief profile for this particular bird. Anyone else?
It is a spoiler for sure, sets a whole new standard for FS. This and the F28 both inside of a week, nirvana! I have a feeling your 250 is going to be in the virtual shop a lot sooner than most, what with flying around 15 minutes at a time with the RPMs solidly in the red line! 😅
Cool that they are coming over to MSFS with maybe all the other great planes they did for FSX... I admit i was hoping you would forget defrost and the windows would fog up to show everyone how real these planes are..

I have the FSX and P3D A2A 172 and A2A 182 and had been waiting for the A2A C172 for MFSF and this came out and I bought it right away because all A2A products are top notch.This is the first Piper Comanche I have flown and I couldn't have picked a better GA aircraft. After flying for 5-10mins, the manifold pressure drops to zero, the Comanche lost power and dive to the ground. The aircraft doesn't respond even when I add more power with the throttle. Any reason for the sudden lost of power?

What's everyone's thoughts on using FSRealistic with this? I think for the first time ever FSRealistic might make the experience worse. This add-on seems to handle shakes and vibrations and the like on it's own, as well as having a superb sound set. I turned FS Realistic off and felt it was a better experience, but curious what others think. Keep in mind I use FSRealistic with EVERY plane until now.
@@jonbeckett Back when I was instructing I would demonstrate flying and stalls with just the rudder, because as we all know, too much rudder in a stall results in a spin.
One of the things that severly ails MSFS is ground and landing physics. You can flare ad-infinitum and still manage to land the aircraft like a feather which is totally not what happens in real life. Your aircraft will drop like a stone on the tarmac if you overcook your flare and spoil the lift. I used to used to believe that this was up to the developer until I tried all the GA planes in MSFS, even those by well respected developers and saw that they behave the same on "infinite" flaring. I have been wanting to discover the world in MSFS since it offers an excellent representation of the world but this particular issue with landing/ ground physcis has always been a sticking point for me. I am wondering if this plane does it differently since, from what I have heard, A2A have their own physics engine tacked on to their packages? Also, are you using XPRealistic in this particular flight session?
No XPRealistic - this was straight out of the box. The stall characteristics were interesting - you get buffet, and then a wing drops pretty dramatically if you're not being careful - but you can save it with appropriate reactions.
Msfs definitely needs ground effect work. But I’d still say the developer still can get this closer with proper works. The black square bonanza does a relatively good flare that drops you like a brick without the proper control. And so does the milviz 310. I haven’t tried the Comanche yet.

@@iruxcheri the just flight archers were updated a while back and are better if you haven’t tried them in a while. They floated after one of the asobo updates but it’s better now. Probably still needs work but it’s not as bad as the default Cessnas
That's because they haven't straightened it up on touchdown, the tyres hit the runway, and grip... In the next video I did, I had several crosswind landings and used the sideslip technique to straighten the plane out on approach - worked like a charm.
Boy, if this takes off financially I hope they consider making an airliner some day. With complex physics. Not like the likes of PMDG who tell you how "custom" and "complex" their plane is, just for oneself to find out that most of the stuff simulated is more or less scripted...or that random failures are basically just systems turned off in the background...
Nope, just like the Fenix A320 to get this level of realism it uses an external programming to get around sim limitations, consoles don’t allow that. You want choices in flight sims PC is the only way.

That was driving me frickin NUTS.
On trackir menu - I bind spacebar to trackir on/off. When in turbulence I hit spacebar to freeze and hit the clickspots much more easy.

A2a do a lot of work for RL aviation companies and air forces around the world. Anything they bring it is above reproach..superb aircraft

The autopilot is a trip in itself!
At the 4:00 mark there is a toggle to change the gear switch to a 2 way switch and your panel gear switch should work.
31:06. Set up a button to either go into precision mode or pause the head tracking.

You probably killed the engine - which can happen for all sorts of reasons if you don't look after it properly :)

Details of what I use are in the video notes :) I use a Tobii eye tracker, and the mouse, and the cursors to move the view around.

Why are the trees still so f-ing large in MSFS, it’s always been that way, and it’s the number one realism killer for me.

Boy, if this takes off financially I hope they consider making an airliner some day. With complex physics. Not like the likes of PMDG who tell you how "custom" and "complex" their plane is, just for oneself to find out that most of the stuff simulated is more or less scripted...or that random failures are basically just systems turned off in the background...

Nope, just like the Fenix A320 to get this level of realism it uses an external programming to get around sim limitations, consoles don’t allow that. You want choices in flight sims PC is the only way.
Let me guess: I won't be able to buy this for my Xbox. Sigh. Oh well, I have the Cessna 414aw and I'm happy with it.
there is a problem with trim on this aircraft.... THE A.I. PILOT. turn it off.
Make sure your ai pilot assistance settings are all off. You can't fly these kind of add ons in easy mode.
