Yeah that GBA and SNES emulator was beyond terrible. I kept thinking "Just wow" with the screen tearing. Those emulators were hurting due to the weight of a 16 Bit game and a handheld game that was slightly more advanced than a SNES game.

I was playing GBA games on a Pentium 3 Windows XP machine in my elementary school library, flawless 60-locked frame rates in MMBN with excellent sound recreation (for those sweet megaman tunes) without a dedicated GPU in 2003, there is 100% no reason for screen tearing and frame drops emulating the GBA in 2018 with all our advances in CPU fabrication and emulation.

@Deon Denis fortunately when it comes to nintendo you can use the Dolphin Emulators to run Gamecube, Wii, and iirc there's one for Wii-U these days(for the older systems, snes9x, vgbadvance, there's a bunch for regular nintendo, like jnes, nestor, and GB. like GameYob and a few others who's names escape me atm, but there's a lot of options if you know where to look online...just knowing the names is enough to step in the right direction)

Okay, I'll probably regret this, but I want to actually try to address folks in this comment section who are trying to defend Soulja Boy, and who are seeing this through the lens of race. I want to do this partly because I'm impulsive and bored, partly because I want to explore my own comprehension and thinking on this subject, as a sort of exercise. I see a handful of common complaints in here, and I'll take them one at a time. 1) "Who cares about frametearing?" A lot of people do, but more importantly it's an obvious visible sign that the software is generally poorly programmed. It's an easily prevented problem, a clear sign of novice, unprofessional, cheap, or lazy work, and it's something professional reviewers keep an eye out for. 2) "If this were made by a white person, he'd love it." No. This is not a good product. It's arguably worth its low original price, but even that is questionable. It certainly isn't worth the massively inflated price Soulja Boy is trying to charge. 3) [insert rhetoric questioning the legitimacy of copyright ownership here]. Look, here's the point: if Nintendo did this, they would be ripped to shreds by lawyers, and if Microsoft did this, they would be ripped to shreds by lawyers, and if Sony did this.... You get the point. This box was able to stay on the market for so long because it was made by a tiny company that flew under the radar, it was sold primarily within China, and China doesn't really enforce copyright law stringently within its borders (some of the time, anyway). But going big time on the international market with the backing of an American celebrity? Sorry, Soulja's playing with the big boys now, with big boy stakes and big boy rules. If you don't think copyrights are legitimate, maybe you can at least understand how an unjust law would be even MORE unjust if applied selectively. If Soulja Boy were to get away with this, that would be a massive injustice to all of the people and companies who have abided by the rules. 4) "But white people have done shitty things and gotten away with it! Some fairly recently too!" Yes, sure, I'll give you that, but that's ALSO injustice. I want to stop ALL the injustice, okay? If you can't discuss ANY topic, even one as unrelated to race as this one, without centering race, you might have a problem. Surely SOMETHING in the world must have nothing to do with race, and if this isn't such a thing, I don't know what is. 5) "you just don't want to see a black man succeed!" No, I just don't want to see people (and mostly black people, by the look of things) get ripped off. The most glaring injustice here is that Soulja is using his influence to coax people into paying 2.5x for a product that was arguably already overpriced, and he's probably defrauding his fans too (it seems SUPER unlikely that the games are licensed, but hey, I'll admit I need to look into it). This kind of stuff, the total deconstruction of objective value in favor of trends and brand, is poisonous, and call me a cynic, but it seems like it tends to be used against those who are psychologically vulnerable to it, those who are easy marks (such as the poor, the excessively rich, and art enthusiasts). Quite frankly, if you're one of the people coming to Soulja's defense, it seems like you're his mark, and you're coming to the defense of your abuser out of some misplaced sense of comoradorie.
Tau Te Fox He has every game licensed nobody would let him get away with selling an illegal product like that it’s not how the government works and when was the last time you bought a console or any device and weren’t pushed to spend your money on more games or pay a subscription when you buy a console. This is the first console I have seen with 800 games all the games I wanted to play as a child for free with the game all the customer is basically paying for is the licensing fee. Those 800 games would be over a thousand dollars if I brought each of them today it’s so convincing for 200 witch is less than a Nintendo DS I can play all of the childhood games I missed out on. @Deon Denis fortunately when it comes to nintendo you can use the Dolphin Emulators to run Gamecube, Wii, and iirc there's one for Wii-U these days(for the older systems, snes9x, vgbadvance, there's a bunch for regular nintendo, like jnes, nestor, and GB. like GameYob and a few others who's names escape me atm, but there's a lot of options if you know where to look online...just knowing the names is enough to step in the right direction)

Okay, I'll probably regret this, but I want to actually try to address folks in this comment section who are trying to defend Soulja Boy, and who are seeing this through the lens of race. I want to do this partly because I'm impulsive and bored, partly because I want to explore my own comprehension and thinking on this subject, as a sort of exercise. I see a handful of common complaints in here, and I'll take them one at a time.
1) "Who cares about frametearing?" A lot of people do, but more importantly it's an obvious visible sign that the software is generally poorly programmed. It's an easily prevented problem, a clear sign of novice, unprofessional, cheap, or lazy work, and it's something professional reviewers keep an eye out for.
2) "If this were made by a white person, he'd love it." No. This is not a good product. It's arguably worth its low original price, but even that is questionable. It certainly isn't worth the massively inflated price Soulja Boy is trying to charge.
3) [insert rhetoric questioning the legitimacy of copyright ownership here]. Look, here's the point: if Nintendo did this, they would be ripped to shreds by lawyers, and if Microsoft did this, they would be ripped to shreds by lawyers, and if Sony did this.... You get the point. This box was able to stay on the market for so long because it was made by a tiny company that flew under the radar, it was sold primarily within China, and China doesn't really enforce copyright law stringently within its borders (some of the time, anyway). But going big time on the international market with the backing of an American celebrity? Sorry, Soulja's playing with the big boys now, with big boy stakes and big boy rules. If you don't think copyrights are legitimate, maybe you can at least understand how an unjust law would be even MORE unjust if applied selectively. If Soulja Boy were to get away with this, that would be a massive injustice to all of the people and companies who have abided by the rules.
4) "But white people have done shitty things and gotten away with it! Some fairly recently too!" Yes, sure, I'll give you that, but that's ALSO injustice. I want to stop ALL the injustice, okay? I want EVERYONE, including white people, to follow the rules, and that's what a lot of people want. Frankly, it's almost funny that this is being brought up here. If you can't discuss ANY topic, even one as unrelated to race as this one, without centering race, you might have a problem. Surely SOMETHING in the world must have nothing to do with race, and if this isn't such a thing, I don't know what is.
5) "you just don't want to see a black man succeed!" No, I just don't want to see people (and mostly black people, by the look of things) get ripped off. The most glaring injustice here is that Soulja is using his influence to coax people into paying 2.5x for a product that was arguably already overpriced, and he's probably defrauding his fans too (it seems SUPER unlikely that the games are licensed, but hey, I'll admit I need to look into it). This kind of stuff, the total deconstruction of objective value in favor of trends and brand, is poisonous, and call me a cynic, but it seems like it tends to be used against those who are psychologically vulnerable to it, those who are easy marks (such as the poor, the excessively rich, and art enthusiasts). Quite frankly, if you're one of the people coming to Soulja's defense, it seems like you're his mark, and you're coming to the defense of your abuser out of some misplaced sense of comoradorie.
Tau Te Fox He has every game licensed nobody would let him get away with selling an illegal product like that it’s not how the government works and when was the last time you bought a console or any device and weren’t pushed to spend your money on more games or pay a subscription when you buy a console. This is the first console I have seen with 800 games all the games I wanted to play as a child for free with the game all the customer is basically paying for is the licensing fee. Those 800 games would be over a thousand dollars if I brought each of them today it’s so convincing for 200 witch is less than a Nintendo DS I can play all of the childhood games I missed out on. It’s the same game it was 30 so of course their will be frame tearing to fix that Soulja boy would have to edit the code of each game witch would be to expensive for him to sell the console at 200 and make his commission. I was just talking to my older brother and he was amazed that we could play the original Pokémon and mortal kombat by just plugging the game console into our tv I don’t care how the original format looks like I definitely didn’t care 30 years ago. This guy is an absolute moron I would bet a hundred dollars he played that mega man video game on souljas console after the video he hasn’t probably seen that game or had the opportunity to play it on a big screen in years I know he was getting flashbacks of childhood nostalgia I want this device and you do too their is no other possible way to play every popular game from the 70s 80s and 90s on one console without having to pay for the games separately if you want to play all of these great games witch have much better story lines and are more gratifying to beat because their harder than todays video games Soulja Boy has now made it as easy to just plug in the console to your tv and now you have decades of video game classics.

He went on some show to play some has-been presenter against Street Fighter and Geometry Wars.
