As for B Simone, she is not cancelled. There is nothing wrong with her wanting to date an entrepreneur. She never said there was anything wrong with a man who has a 9-5, she just wants someone with the same lifestyle as her. She has to travel a lot for work and she can make her own schedule so dating an entrepreneur means they can travel and build their brand together. I don’t see how ppl got offended by her preference. not working a 9 to 5 doesn't mean you are a CEO. there are CEO's that work 9 to 5's there are people that work 9 to 5 that are directors, associate directors in an entrepreneurial position managing people, senior manager, senior engineers etc list goes on. Like there are lots of good jobs out there that pay good that are 9 to 5! I don't get this whole 9 to 5 jobs are lower level jobs thing haha. Even the ceo in the Netherlands for the company I work for works 9 to 5 🤣 (global multinational company)

Sometimes if you don’t know how to word what you’re trying to say, it’s best to just not say it. All she had to say was “since coming into this new chapter I find it easier to date someone in the same industry/with the same flexible schedule as me” there wasn’t even a need to ever bring a 9-5 into the conversation tbh. I can see why people are offended, she honestly just should’ve worded it better and left the 9-5 out of it.
I’m teacher with summers off. I love it. When I was married, my husband had a 9-5 job and I enjoyed it. I loved having the weekends off for short vacations. When I was younger and dating, I dated someone that worked from 2-11 and had two days off during the week. It was hard to date. It is one’s preference. Working 9-5 does not work for everyone. I prefer to have weekends off, especially Saturdays off.

My thing is do ppl realize that “9-5” included Engineers, Nurses, doctors, teachers, principals, offshore workers,electricians, police officers, firefighters, Emts, heck and soo much more professions?? Grant it some of these professions put in more hours but y’all get my point, they still on the clock. It bothers me that most only think of fast food or retail for 9-5’s!!!! And I think ppl came at her bc of her tone behind it as if being up @ 3am doing business is on another level for “9-5” folks. 1st of all they have to get sleep to be up for that “9-5” job the next day. 2nd who trying to prove their love by being up til 3am while you work..that’s not realistic. I mean the 1st phase of dating is like that where you stay around each other and talk for hours on the phone til the wee hrs of the night but that’s it.
Lastly, if a man would say this then it would be hell. Because majority of women are not “boss ladies” or “influencers” or “celebrities “... they are in college, mothers, full time workers at some business.. Most men are not worried about a woman’s career...he’s more concern about what she look like on outside and inside perioodt. Its not to say a woman’s career is still not a big deal to a man but it’s definitely not a dealbreaker either like B Simone feels.
