Difference is that in BE, the second word is engineering but in B.Tech, you will be shocked to know that it is Technology. ..just kidding, there isn't any difference apart from the names.
This is for single degree to single degree transfer, in this case it's not 9 or 9.5 you need to be in top 4 to 5 % of the college...like 9.8 or 9.9 . Dual degree is a completely different scenario..
