I used to ride the Black Mountains in the 90s on a titanium hardtail with 63mm of Pace elastomer suspension. While new school bikes are awesome, old school trails are still the best. I don’t care for “modern” man made features.
@@BOTG_Adventures hope you say that about the video, not my comment... Since this probably costs as much as a sh car and most of us cannot afford it... Maybe is built for the rich and the sponsored...
You won't get 7hr out of either the Rail or Levo batteries unless you're motionless unfortunately. If you basically do self-shuttle runs for a couple of hours and can muscle around 25kg, then get either the Rail or Levo. If you want something more versatile for getting into the backcountry, or a bike that's as agile as an analogue bike, get the Kenevo SL.
Guys, Nice review. I need an advice related to sizing. I’m 180 cm and my wife 175 cm. We want to share a bike - my wife for a short tours only really. However, we tried S3 and it seemed to be ok although I looked a bit too big for s3. In the shop they recommended S4 with shorter stem. What would you recommend? Thanks a lot, much appreciated
Hi Marek, I'm 178cm and rode an S4 with a slightly shorter stem. The main issue on the Kenevo SL is that the seat tube is fairly tall and there's not much insertion depth, so you may have to compromise on dropper post length, depending on your leg length, to get the right saddle height. The answer you may not want to hear is that you're probably perfect for an S4, but your wife might be better on an S3.
What happened to the mynydd du dragon downhill track? I've only ever seen it on video but it look far too well cut in to disappear, was it deforested or something?
Old school is last year dude. It's not like the 80s or 90s now, you literally can't keep up. I bought a Cube LTD SL black adonised 26" wheels, 3 chainring crank for £1200 in 2013, they brought 27" 650B wheels out, dual chainring, different geometry bikes a year later, so it was obsolete, can't even get tyres now. In 2018 I bought a Scott Scale 710 carbon fibre 27" wheels dual chainring for 3k. A year later it's laughed at, all single chainring now, 29" wheels and again, different geometry. A year on from that, all MTBs I see now, are electric and scream past you, the simple day out through the woods via the canal towpath on your basic Hardtail are memories now. It's crazy dude. That's why I took up running instead, t-shirt, shorts, trainers, that's it.

Nice ride out. Thats probably the longest a spesh brose motor has lasted before needing a replacement too. 👍
The Kenevo SL doesn’t use the Brose motor
😂
Makes me miss my SX Trail from high school
Nice... Enjoyed this one.. Good work Danny 🤘🏼
Thanks!
And how much does it cost, this "new school fun"??
Lol this is so cheesy and clearly paid advertising.

It’s also clearly labelled as promotional content.
Great video, awesome adventure.
Bike looks pretty mint tbh
Trek rail 9.8 with 7 hour battery or the Levo gen 3, 7hr battery
or the Kenevo sl ?🤘
