Ship Of Souls Roleplay [ AUDITIONS • CLOSED ]

The deadline for the written audition will be the 1st of March. That should give you plenty of time to write something. However we might decide to choose people beforehand so we can get the roleplay started earlier, so the faster you can send me your audition the better. After that you will have a few weeks to finish your audition video.

So, Tinna and I have wanted to start an RP for a while now and we played with a few ideas that I don't think she really liked :P But then we watched the movie "Ghost Ship" and we came up with this idea and we hope you like it enough to join in :3

| Background Story |
The S.S. Tasha, a private cruise ship for the rich and elite, sailing to America in 1964.
Everything seems normal on the ship, many of the passengers are partaking in the evening dance, but as night falls strange things start happening and people on board start being murdered, one by one.
However, the dead passengers continue to harbor the ship in their spiritual form.
| Your Part In The Story |
You are on board the ship S.S. Wind Rose, another cruise ship sailing from the west coast port in England to New York in the year 2013.
On it's way the ship encounters another ship named the S.S. Tasha, a decrepit ship where mobile phones etc no longer work. As the other ship doesn't respond on the radio, S.S. Wind Rose's captain decides to take a closer look at it.
Over the speakers it is said that all passengers should leave the S.S. Wind Rose and instead board the S.S. Tasha, but before all the passengers can get to the other ship, the S.S. Wind Rose blows up, killing all of the people that were still on board.
You are one of the few people who managed to get on board of the S.S. Tasha before it was too late.
| How To Audition |
Step 1: Pick a character, it can be the same as someone else as there is no first come first serve basis for auditions. (2D Non/Disney only, if you're unsure if you can use a character then just ask either me or Tinna [Cazmill2nd] for help.)
There's another kind of audition for ghosts (who do have some supernatural powers). If you are interested read the section below as well.
Step 2: Write a passage about your character and send it to me in a pm. Which character you're using, their age, likes, dislikes, history before being on the ship, why they were on the ship, if they had any friends or family on the ship when it blew up etc.
Please keep in mind that this is a realistic roleplay, meaning no magic powers or things like that. You are an ordinary human.
Step 3: This is only going to be a small roleplay, maybe 20 or so people will be able to join for now, so once we've decided which of the passages we like the best we'll send you a pm and/or we'll upload a video of who's in. If you don't get in then you can save your audition or change it for another time, since we may add more people at a later date.
Step 4: Once you're in you can then make a video about your character, portraying some or all of the things you mentioned in your passage.
Step 5: The roleplay is forum based and once you are in you'll need to be active or your character will die (unless you're on holiday or busy with school/work etc, but in that case please let us know beforehand). We will host special events and contests once in a while, where your character has a chance of being rewarded or punished in all sorts of ways. Your character might end up dying in an event, but if this happens you will have the option to roleplay as a ghost.
The first event will be when the roleplay starts, because we will all be roleplaying together as we will be roleplaying right after the S.S. Wind Rose blows up. When all the participants have been found we will find a date where most people are free to roleplay.
| Special Ghost Audition |
As well as auditioning for the human roles there are 2 roles available as ghosts, Aurora (who already has a small backstory that you can expand on) and another character of your choice. If you'd like to audition as one of the ghosts then you can also audition as a human as this will give you more involvement in the rp, as ghosts might have limited activity but are important parts to the storyline, but this is up to you.
If you are a ghost you will be expected to make more roleplay related videos, as they will be used as part of the ghost's power. If you're interested in auditioning as a ghost then pm either me or Tinna first so we can explain a little about what you'll be expected to do.
