I think it is a great idea. In Germany every house by law has to dig a deep hole in the back of house to divert the rain water back into the earth. It is very similar idea and already tested in developed countries.

In india , total 28 state , all state government constructed 5 crore well for ground water recharge , like our state Bihar 1 crore well constructed for ground water recharge when rainy season starts, in bihar ground water leve15 to 20 feet hain , waise india mai water ka kami nhi hai but hm log rain water ko barbad hone nhi dete hai

Same can be implemented by KDA and SBCA for the betterment of the City, Environment and People.

Good idea another thing people can do is to design the upper and lower tanks of their houses so they can harvest rain water it will reduce load on sewerage , roads and nala's too

Iam doing the same, specially if you own a rooftop, there is always a water drain pipe which generally ends in sewerage duct. Call a plumber he can do the trick for less than 2000 Rs.
You can save water worth thousands of rupees lifetime.

Excellent idea, large commercial projects should be encouraged or forced ( by regulation) to have water recycling or rain harvesting provision. Its planning for our next generation else they will be starved of wateŕ

In India already implemented, I may an Indian, he told me, it is law to make a well in house ( new construction) to collect rain water of their house. I have seen a Video, a resident of Karachi collected rain water in his under ground water tank.

Rain harvesting is done in Australia England has recycled Thames River 10 time. The reason is there members of parliament are educated and we say minimum bachelor of arts. We need educated and Pro Pakistani national then within no time all our issues will be resolved and no dictations.
