    Great info. I have Mint Mobile until April of 2024 prepaid. It is a great time for me to look at Visible and their plans and phones. I don't really understand hotspot and how to tether, say a small tablet, so I have some learning to do. I would like to travel around this beautiful country for months at a time in the near future, so I would like to have a plan to cover entertainment and necessities. Thanks for explaining and offering the code, too. All the best to you all. Adventure on !!

      You can hook anything up to it. Wirelessly just by turning on the hotspot. Tethering however you would take your cord that you plug your phone into the wall with and hook the other end to your computer and connect it. First time you figure it out it'll be easy after that. I'm glad the information we provided helped I would definitely take a long look at it for the future

    Great video and explanation. I plan on switching over in the future because it seems like the cheapest plan on the market after I checked their website out.

    Thx for the info. Gonna give it a shot. Will probably keep T mobile home internet for $45. But my phone is also $45. But service NG in rural Wayne County Upstate NY.
    Will try the 15 day free trial. Just had my phone unlocked an hour ago. Thx again.

    Still on Visible. Still only $25 a month. Still use hotspot repeated by mango router. Visible is the best here in North Central Florida.

    Just stumbled on your channel. Two phones, two watches and an iPad. We plan to travel a lot more and need a cheap option to keep our USA number.
    You mentioned foreign travel. Can you address this? We are looking at e-sims for now.

      @@WallaceDunn if you get the visible Plus plan I believe the watch service is free. I believe it's an additional $10 a month with the $25 plan. As far as the iPad you can use your hotspot on your phone to run your iPad so you don't need separate service for it. If you would like separate service you will have to check what they charge at worst you will have to pay $25 for an extra line for it. Now they have global pass I will leave a link to it where you can check out international options

    Do you have to have Wi-Fi and your cellular service to use a VPN? I turned off my Wi-Fi and I couldn't get my VPN to work. I'm using Google's Wi-Fi. Thank you. Great video.

      @@dr.stevenpennym.d.3241 on some VPNs you have to have Wi-Fi but Google Fi is a completely different product so it doesn't surprise me that the VPN won't work on cellular.
      We use surfshark there's a link below to get it extremely cheap.
      But no I don't need Wi-Fi to use my VPN

    I have visible. I recently upgraded to the more expensive plan. I was able to get it for $35 a month.... Between the two plans I am thinking the UW speeds aren't that noticeable... except maybe when the regular 5G is congested it might come in handy. Since I sm in NYC it might make a difference I suppose. However, sat my home I don't get UW but speeds never slowed down here so idk...

      I think there's times when the ultra wide band is nice but I'm not willing to pay more for it especially since it's not even in our area yet My understanding is the ultra wide band is extremely nice if you're at like a concert or a big event cuz most of the traffic will go to regular 5G while you will get ultra wide band. I appreciate you sharing your experience in your location.

    got a email with the new terms and conditions said that they would cut off data if you over use it right now Ive used 200g and it is messing up and can't use as home intet

    • @WealthandTravelonaDime
      @WealthandTravelonaDime  9 місяців тому +1

      No they said they will throttle you during times of high traffic if you are a power user aka 200gig and up . That said turn on a VPN and you may see much better results. There has been some Verizon network issues lately but with that said it is super bowl Sunday there should be some expectation that the network is going to be getting heavily used. That may be the slowdown you're talking about

    Hi and thanks your detailed video. I'm confused. Do you know why on their website the visible+ has a cap of 50GB but the basic visible says unlimited? I mean can it really be unlimited esp if its $10 cheaper than the plus. It has to have a cap right?

    • @WealthandTravelonaDime
      @WealthandTravelonaDime  11 місяців тому +1

      50 GB of 5G Plus also known as ultra wide band. The trick is only in select locations such as downtown of big cities. It's unlimited of regular 5G after that. With regular visible it's unlimited 5G you don't get access to ultrawide band. Honestly I've never needed it. We have another video on our other channel called The Frugal Homestead where I use this service for home internet using well over 200 gigs in a month so yes truly unlimited. The hotspot is limited in speed to 5 megabits per second. You can get around this by using a VPN. Feel free to ask any more questions I'll do my best to answer

      @@WealthandTravelonaDime thanks for responding. I'm currently on Boost Infinite and I'm definitely going to switch esp since it includes Hotspot. I could def use it when I'm at home because I'm over my Spectrum Bill. I'm not tech savvy like you. I don't know what a VPN is. Would you happen to have a detailed video on what a VPN is, how to use it? I'm all about saving money. Would you say the hotspot/wifi speed is pretty fast? If you game, stream, listen to music and if you have a couple ppl to use the wifi? Thanks

      VPN is just an app that hides what you're doing. We use surfshark. Really cheap low cost links in description box

      Us mobile has many benefits. Def better customer service but plans change yearly and they are not actually owned by a carrier.
