Snow in Texas. That is a sight not often seen. It sure looks pretty, but when it turns to ice, that isn’t fun for anyone. Who has ever seen snow on a cactus before? Not many I’m sure. We’re so glad you guys were able to maintain power, stay warm, and keep positive spirits through all of this. Thanks for sharing.
We just came back from Kerrville and saw lots of broken trees from all the snow and ice. Hot chocolate is good! Texas is not ready for weather like that. Glad you survived the storm. Thanks for sharing your story!
We got off easy compared to the rest of the state. We did enjoy the once in a 20 year storm. We have not made it back east yet, but do want to. Thanks!
Hey RB and LeeAnn! THIS unsuspected freeze and snow sure got me to thinking seriously about buying a Gold Zero, Yetti, or, some other solar generator!....even before I buy my new camper van soon! But, we all made it through the ordeal, thanks to God watching over us! Great video! Stay safe y’all!
We were lucky to loose power. We did loose water in the kitchen. We have talked about backups for Power. We have a couple of UPS's on important things like internet. Having a batt backup would be a good idea! Thanks for your kind words!
Same here, we were lucky we got off easy compared to many others. It was very strange to see this kind of winter weather in Austin. Hopefully, Austin won't see this for a long time! Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Keep on Cruisin'
Wow! It seems like freezing cold there. That’s a heavy snow. We don’t have snow here it’s cold and wet. I enjoy watching the snow. Thanks for sharing. Great filming. Fantastic video. Big like.
That is some crazy weather for Texas...all over the news here in Canada...looks like you have some good jackets to help...hope you are doing good and are able to stay well and keep warm...thinking and praying for you all...
Thanks, We got off easy. I am sure you are used to seeing this much snow in Canada, but here in Texas... We are confused about all this white stuff! Thanks for your kind words and commenting!
That’s definitely some crazy weather there in Texas. Hope it gets much better this week. Sending some warm weather coming from Florida. Stay safe -Bob & Gracey
Yuppp the snow looked beautiful but when the power and light went out and groceries gone and gas gone is whe people started to panic thankfully we are good now much love famm blessings!!

That is some crazy weather! Sorry you guys are having to deal with it and I feel bad for the folks without electricity and water right now. ~Wilson & Kelli
Thanks, We got off easy compared to the rest of the city and state. This entire experience is crazy! Thanks for your kind words and for stopping by to comment!
I'd be tempted to use a blowtorch if ice got on my car that way. Luckily, we don't get that level of ice. Just insane snow. But those walking pathways would be perfect snowmobile trails.
HAHA, Most people had to go buy snow shovels. I am sure the pawn shops are going to have a lot of choices to choose from. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
We can definitely relate to the crazy weather. It has been beyond the norm. The ice is pretty to look at but not so much to deal with. I always fear for the safety of elderly that don't have others to help them. Hope you are all doing well. Keep the hot chocolate flowing.
Thank you! We are doing well & have been really lucky compared to others. This is definitely some crazy weather that Texans are not accustomed to! We have seen a lot people helping and taking care of each other. Hoping it warms up soon!
Yeah, and Texas is not prepared for this type of weather. We have a lot of elevated highways and the city does not have the tools to keep the roads clear. States North of here would have been more prepared.
Wintery wonderland !!! 😉👌👍💯
The best!

Crazy to see so much snow in TX ! Amazing ! We had some record snow here in the Pacific Northwest but nothing as noteworthy as snow in Texas !
I know right. It was like the city of Austin just gave up trying to keep the roads open. Thanks for dropping by and commenting!

It's been so beautiful out there, it's just so sad about the power problems.
Agreed. We got off easy. Our thoughts are with those that are still struggling to stay warm and find water. Thanks for stopping by!
Cant believe you were wearing slippers! Hope that this is the last of the storms pushing through. Ready for some spring weather and sunshine!
I hope so too! HAHA. Yeah, LeeAnn Did not approve of my dress. Hopefully we have a nice wet green spring after all this snow! Keep adventuring!

Thanks so much! Hahaha He is definitely not a snow dog! We are all looking forward to the warmer temps!
My gosh. That looks like us here in Wisconsin. But not with downed tree..after downed tree..after downed tree. Whoa.

Texas Winter Storm
Yep it was an experience. THanks for stopping by and commenting!
Luckily, we only had to deal with rolling blackouts where we are.
Glad you are doing ok. Hopefully we don't see anything like this for a long time!
I'd be tempted to use a blowtorch if ice got on my car that way. Luckily, we don't get that level of ice. Just insane snow. But those walking pathways would be perfect snowmobile trails.

@@AFKDays Buy them up. Drive them to Wisconsin. You'll make a killing.
That pup was not having any of that Snow!
He definitely was NOT! 😊 He’s seen a few snowstorms, but this has been the longest and coldest!

Peep those sandals at 1:22!!!
Thanks buddy!
Thanks!
Freezing rain, worse than a snowfall. So dangerous for driving, walking and utility wires.
