Hi angulurivamsi, for keying refinement, no method is only one method, there are lot of different ways to do same thing, here i was talking about max/min so talked tips related to only max/min. Here we are not doing blur in main pipe, we are doing blur separately for averaging the luminance and then adding in main pipe with max & min as per requirement. we don't loose details if uses with care. Thanks a lot for sharing your feedback. appreciated.
Hi cyril Conforti, in this video i was talking about possible use of max/min, indeed best way to merge alpha is channel merge, i have already talked about that, please have a look. ua-cam.com/video/f3l3CD-0Soc/v-deo.html

Good one. But there are better techniques like edge extensions. In this method we may lose some fine details while blurring.

So, you're using a merge node to mix only one channel and push calculation on three useless channels...The channel merge is here for that.
