Belive me, I did it with sheep manure but I spred it in november, then in next spring plant cukinis na kabige, potatoes and tomatos, cucumbars and papricas. Great harvest in almost fres manure.
Worms LOVE horse manure... Red Wiggler worms are specifically bought and used for just this reason. The common earth worms used for fishing are great for this and are free. They leave behind their castings while they turn your soil and you will get many blessings that will last for several years after just ONE application. Try planting potatoes in JUST fresh horse manure...it a beautiful thing but wear gloves!
