  • With the Blue King currently carrying the class torch thought some footage of ‘Edward II’s father ‘Edward I’ (Longshanks) might be appreciated. The numbers give away the chronology the Kings running in reverse sequence from ‘George V’. Hence 6023 must follow 6024 and was Longshanks’ son.
We start at Bristol Temple Meads on Sunday 7th August 2011 and see her departing with the Southbound 'Torbay Express'. We then move south to Flax Bourton on Saturday 25th September 2010 and catch her passing a First GW ‘HST’ when hauling the Southbound 'TAMAR DEVONIAN', the long closed station was just beyond the overbridge and the remains of the goods yard are still recognisable. Further South we are at the Claverham Drove overbridge on Sunday 30th May 2010 to see her with the Southbound 'Torbay Express' again all subsequent clips also featuring this Sunday train. Next is Yatton on 22nd August 2010 with a Freightliner Class ‘66’ Shed 66601 passing on a ‘Permanent Way’ working, followed by Weston Super Mare Station arriving and meeting another First GW ‘HST’ on 6th June 2010, then leaving with a slight slip on 16th July 2006 and finally just coming under the Clevedon Road overbridge south of the station taken from the Exeter Road Footbridge on 13th June 2010.
