- Welcome to HODINKEE's new video series, The Spec Sheet, where we use digestible, 60-second clips to showcase everything you need to know about a particular watch. The Spec Sheet hits all the details: Case size, wrist feel, thickness, movement, reference number, and (yes!) lug-to-lug dimensions. It's the next best thing to having the watch in your own hands.
In need of no introduction is the Rolex GMT-Master II 126710 BLRO, affectionately referred to as the "Pepsi." Based on the darling of mid-century pilots and vintage aficionados alike, the Pepsi is virtually a future-classic version of an already-classic model. Seen here in the at the time hotly-anticipated steel, released in 2018. Today, the Spec Sheet provides a most assured answer to the age-old question: Is Pepsi okay?

The best modern Rolex for everyday wear. Period
Beautiful! Some people hate it , someone like me love it!! In hand is amazing! For my everyday is the perfect watch!
12 position clicks? Are you sure...?
You're right! The first twelve were so satisfying, that's as far as we got.
@@hodinkee Keep it up.
It's 24 clicks in total for a full rotation. To state the number 12 simply because that's as far as you got is clearly misleading. I agree with Lucas in that this was simply an error on hodinkees part. The reply seems like a cheap copout, acting obtuse in the face of valid criticism
@@zbenne05what did they say? They deleted it lol
lighten up 🙄
Objectively the best looking watch in the Rolex catalogue
Subjectivity
Gorgeous
Just picked this up from my AD last Friday. It's awesome! Nice way to celebrate a promotion and 20th anniversary.
How long did you have to wait?
@@hsalajr nine months
@@jimlittle5769 are you considered a VIP at your AD? 9 months isn't bad at all!
@@EarthbornCrafting I don't know if they consider me a VIP or not. I met the SA I work with in May '21. She got me my z-blue Milgauss six weeks later. Then the Polar Exp II, which I requested in July '21, she got me in November '21. Then the Pepsi I requested in Jan '22, I got in October '22. Those are the only things I bought from them, she only sells Rolex.
Congrats on your watch, your promotion and your 20th anniversary! Cheers!
Great video 👍👍help where can I purchase one new ?? Thank you
Love the Pepshe on jubilee
The best sports watch on the market
To me it’s the holy grail everyday Rolex. The other one is the black dial ceramic Daytona of course (hate the white dials!)
I like the Pepsi color edition, but I probably wont be getting it, primarily because every brand pretty much has their own version. Not saying other brands made the same versions as the more expensive watches, this one stands out the most imo
Love the watch tray! Are they available to purchase?
😄😄😄😄
Isn't this also the Thomas Magnum PI watch of the 1980's fame?
Make sure you don’t forget it whenever your kid is being born 😂
😂 I know which Dink article this is referencing 🤦🏻♂️😂
@@andrewchilton9685 Me too... lol
Hodinkee is going to get roasted for that article for a long time 😂
Which article are you guys talking about? 😅
Could some1 help me with a ?....I'm looking at the new 2023 model cheapest 1 is $10900. How come the older 1 same model. Cost more?
as it ages, the jubilee becomes loose and not looks good. have rolex fixed this problem?
It's a 24 position bezel, not 12 per 0:45
Great watch if rolex lets you buy one
Been on the list for over a year with a purchase history at the AD 🙏🏼
I waited a year and a half and got the call March 2021. I know people that are still waiting but I am sure your time will come.
Thank you for the kind words, appreciate the encouragement!
Took 2 years for me

Damn that lens has too much chromatic aberration throw it in the dumpster and get one thats more corrected
Such a luxury timepieces filmed by expensive camera. Pretty sure you guys can afford to put better pen on the table during presentation. Details.
Really, really tired of hearing about the Rolex Pepsi. Can't you Rolex reviewers ever mix it up a little?
Heavy and bulky. Not refined like some brands (JLC, Patek, Cartier).... waste of money unless money is no object (I'll just add this for clarity - this is only my opinion. Some people see this watch as their grail. I just feel differently about most Rolex, after trying many on... I prefer elegant watches, which these are not... just personal taste)
Sure pal…..
probably doesn't any of those brands....just a hater
@@xekret my opinion. And I've tried them on. Really not a fan. I'm not one to jump on the hype train
@@jh-il5sb no. Just expression of my own personal taste. They're good watches. But not for me. To someone else, the Pepsi gmt is the best watch in the world. That's their opinion. I don't like them at all. Genuinely. Have you tried one on?
@@Valera_Scotland i have tried one on. i went into my local AD and the sales rep was really friendly and let me try on every model I wanted. I never liked the pepsi, the colors always looked too cartoonish in the videos. Honestly the colors are far more subdued in person and I understood what all the hype was about
wake up are you going diving, dont lose your mind, rolex way over rated
SOOOOO tired of the GMT II and ROLEX ugggggh
