So many reactions to nightwish. As a 67 year old I found them a few months ago and have been given a new lease of life. They allow us and encourage us not to forget how valuable our childhood hopes and dreams are. They have old men like me buying their live dvds drinking a glass or two of wine and dancing around my room in utter joy. Love to all Nightwish fans, where can I sign up to join your army. 😊❤
Your story sounds very similar to my discovery of Nightwish. I fell in love with this band and especially Floor when she opened her mouth to sing the amazing Wacken version of Ghost Love Score. Chills, jaw dropping, waterworks, and opened my soul to this amazing band. I cannot get enough. Just love great emotional music and this band in all its forms for starters. Then continue to encourage reactors and spread the word of this amazing band. This is the mission of the Nightwish army as well as attending as many shows as possible and support the band in every way. It is a very difficult job being a musician in todays world. You will not feel out of place. There are Nightwish fans from 10 to 75 at the shows. I was recently at a show in May and right next to me on the floor was a father of around 30-35 with his young 12 year old daughter on his shoulders enjoying the show. I sked her what her favorite Nightwish song was and she said she loved Floor and was waiting to hear "Storytime". So heartwarming to watch her face light up when they broke into the intro for Storytime. She was singing along with all her heart. I loved it!
Your smile is like a ray of sunshine, beautiful, comforting, intense and your huge eyes are like windows on the universe and its beauties... I love to contemplate you...
One more thing to love about Tuomas and his work as a composer: turning a gigantic, ancient, science class\theory into this beautiful, powerful, very entertaining to watch, symphonic metal performance. His creative side is off the charts, plus Floor, Marko and Troy did an amazing job on the vocals, the WE WERE HERE always gives me goosebumps and makes me very emotional
Later on Tuomas commented on Tampere show: "The bullseye". Nightwish took year off because of the 'Greatest Show On Earth' song. It was Tuomas' big dream to make a song of that magnitude and when it was finally ready, he had nothing left. Usually when the albums were ready, he started getting inspirations immediately for the stories of the next album - like 2007 after Dark Passion Play was ready he started to get idea of Imaginaerum album (2011). They had been on a Endless Forms Most Beautiful (2015) world tour for almost a year and he hadn't had any inspirations, so they were kind of forced to make the decision to take 2017 completely off.
The muse charts her own course. She can’t be controlled or rushed. She appears when she does and when she sees appear, cherish and worship her. Never ignore her for she may never appear again
It's clear by this video just how much the members of Nigthwish care for one another. Floor and Tuomas walking off stage with their arms around each other and Floor and Kai walking back from, the cat walk doing the same for example. So heart warming to watch. When I die, I am going to request that my family play this song at my funeral. :)
Hello Nigel I'am 67 too ans I feel the same. I've Heard about Nightwish quite recently (vidéo concert Hellfest 2022) and I was just amazed. Their songs are a Real écho to deep feelings especially "how's that Heart" a tribute to someone I 've Lost recently who I loved dear, another John Doe.🙏 I'm french and I went to see them in Paris, m'y Dreams came true Thanks Nightwish 💖🌌
Yes, Enter Sandman came at a point in the song that had to do with modern music. That's why you heard that along with Bach and others in that short clip. Needless to say they pay homage to their influences but that was genius in Tuomas' part. That "WE WERE HERE" part always gets me, especially with the tone Floor adds to that line. A great ending to a great experience but we will be expecting more. 😉 Thank you for the video, reaction and comments. Stay safe and stay blessed. 😊❤️🤘🤘
This one was recorded at Tampere were the parents of Floor were present at the concert. In the Netherlands we have a program called "Klasgenoten", were people from a same class from a specific school look back at there school periode. Here they look back at the school periode from the class of Floor Janssen at the Rock Academy in Tilburg. ua-cam.com/video/B3NIfu0qvtg/v-deo.html&ab_channel=StorytimeGeo
Welcome to the "AAoNW club😁😁😍😍Addicts of NW! I saw them live first time in 1996. And I have to apologize my behavior back then, cause I was one of those people, who went to "visit" the parents of Tuomas in his childhood home. If I remember correctly, I was like the only male/guy eating his mothers home made goodies and drinking coffee. But it was way before it all went too crazy. That`s why I still need the Addicts Club😍🤩Best Regards from Finland!
I saw them live on 27/11/2022 (see my channel) live in Amsterdam Ziggo Dome, i thought i would miss Marco. But they gave a solid show without him, i actally din't miss him. They played also The Greatest Show On Earth, even in that song i didn't miss Marco. I was to the show with my 11 yo daughter, it was our first father daughter thing .... many more will follow.
We privledged few, born in a time that includes Nightwish, UA-cam and Jingerslapz smiles! This song is a journey all by itself, again, thanks for taking us along. Good times!
Great reaction as always, thanks for doing this Tampere version. I had the honour of being there. A magical evening full of joy, excitement and also tears... 🤘💥💥🤘
Greatest reaction on earth! ❤ that you noticed the Metallica tip of the cap. So much more to watch and react to. Can’t wait for the journey to continue.
Thank you so much my friend!! I need to go back and watch my face when I hear Enter Sandman LOL! Threw me off but in a damn good way! Looking forward to so much more!
I actually meditate to this musical piece. It has helped me gather control over various mental health conditions. The passage about winning the lottery of birth has been paramount in that.
I cannot tell you just why it is that this music moves me so but it surely does - even as I sit here at my desk at work and listen there are tears sparking in my eyes.
There are so many “hidden gems” that Tuomas included in the lyrics & the music. 14:25 The musical tributes start with some African tribal drumming, then through the Gregorian chant in Dies Irae (Mozart), Bach’s Minuet in G Major followed by his famous Fugue in D Minor, followed by American banjo music, Metallica’s Enter Sandman riff (!!!), finally ending in Rap/Hip-Hop and 90s dance music. Pretty Good isn’t it?!!
After the tears of Poet, so good to see that Jynger smile back again! And yes, that was Metallica! Also noticed your goosepimply chills moment just after Floor sang 'us sleeping'. As always, loved your reaction. Even though you've completed the list, there's still so much more NW left to discover. Enjoy the rest of the journey! ❤
I listen to this song whenever I have a car trip of more than 20 minutes. It just is the perfect way to kick of the drive. of course I'm sure many other drivers are wondering why I am shouting "We were here" at the top of my lungs.
Being addicted to Nightwish is certainly not a bad thing! Once you've listened to any specific song enough times, the next level is watching peoples' reactions for the proxy amazement. 😉 It's a tasty double-dose hit, having both the music and the persons excitement. Some things never get old! 🤘🤘🤘
I got to experience this on 20/11/22 in Antwerp, and this masterpiece has not lost anything yet, even without Marco it is a wonderful piece. How Floor can still sing like that after almost 2 hours, she is a real 🤟🏻🤟🏻🎶🎶
Yeeesss !!! Smiling Jynger is back !! Thx for taking the time to share this masterpiece with us , I can’t imagine how Floor’s parents felt watching their little girl at this concert and kudos to the band , awesome 🤘🏼💥🤘🏼
Great reaction, as always! 64 years old here, and I discovered them by pure chance a couple of months ago when the algorithm suggested that I watch the 2013 performance of GLS in Wacken ... I got HOOKED! I'm now super addicted to their music, their performances, Floor's voice, and the many reaction videos out there ... their music/compositions are divine. I'm definitely a full-fledged member of the Nightwish Army ... this band and their masterpieces are life-changing ... hope one day I'll see them live ...
A LIVE Nightwish is as great as you are imagining. And YES, they assemble at the end of every performance and bow during the outro. You are now an official member of the Army.
Beautiful reaction once again ❤Ghost Love Score was the epic gateway to the Nightwish journey The Poet And The Pendulum was an insight and process to the pain Tuomas Tarja the rest of the band and the fans had to go through Lastly The Greatest Show On Earth is arguably one of the best Metal compositions ever written. 💥💥💥
Hello . Thanks for the reaction ! So many différent and beautiful songs of nightwish ! This one are May be the best! Thomas was in excellent form for this one! Sorry my english is bad i’m just a french!😊😊 Just finally you are beautiful ! Spend very Christmas !
There are challenges in this song of course. Floor said: I'd have to be extra careful in the beginning of "The Greatest Show on Earth", for example because some of the phones rise from the back of the throat but "operatic" vocals are produced in the front of the mouth. Yes you heard Metallica, as part of the evolution of music - plainchant and Dies Irae, Petzold, Bach and others, leading to Metallica followed by the pinnacle of modern Music: Nightwish. You have to love Marco's little smile when he's on the catwalk 😀 Floor acts the whole thing, as always, so that weaponry, grain of sand and so on are all represented in her actions. The Wembley version is slightly different and in that you find backing track cellos replaced by Troy with eBow in the opening section and Richard Dawkind coming out in person to read from his book "Every Form Most Beautiful" and from The Origin of Species by Darwin. In that show he has to stop at @Every Form Most Beautiful@ for the audience applause at the fact that the album and associated tour were named for that book. As a sidenote, at the Wembley concert, Richard met Floor backstage and said "Hello, darling, what do you do?" "Well, I am the singer of the band." "Oh, you sing, do you? I like people who sing!" (As related by Troy)
Enter sandman a fabulous track , Rainbows Starazer is also epic but Nightwish take it to a whole different level everything i thought about music got thrown out of the window when i discovererd this band , was lucky enough to see them in Birmingham this year , the best concert of have ever seen and i have seen many...............
Hi JyngerSlapz, I happened to be on this concert in 2015. I live under 180 kilometers from that city Tampere. I noticed that eventho this was in Finland, there were quite a few ppl from USA, and rest of the world. And y3s Emppu played 2 measures of Enter Sandman. Sawyour face so thought to mention.
Tampere the town where I saw the first light..and where I spent my first two years of my life. Love that town. I saw Nightwish there In April this year. I am looking forward to the next Nightwish reaction and the next beautiful smile of yours. Take care. Hugs from Sweden. By the way my next step in my Nightwish Journey is to se them in Kitee 16/6 2023.❤️❤️❤️
Notice immediately you recognize the Metallica riff that Tuomas put in as a nod to one of his bands that he discovered and he has said was one of his biggest influences on his sound. I know your going to continue your journey on the Nightwish path, I know you also like it heavy metal, please add on your list at sometime Floor’s band, Revamp and I would suggest, Distain, Trial of Monsters or Millions live at Graspop. FYI- Floor formed this band to have more control after her first band Ever After disbanded after just one album. Great band but creative differences by members of the band (not Floor) created the breakup. The creative genius band leader went on to form Epica. Getting back to Revamp Floor truly has Metal running in her veins as she wrote most of the songs, pick the members and really created the vibe of the band. Revamp was successful and Floor was only really helping out Tuomas when Annette started to have complications with her pregnancy and suddenly had to leave midway thru a North American tour. A great documentary on how Floor came to Nightwish, please Learn the Setlist in 48 hours. She officially became a full member about 10 months later because she loved Tuomas arrangements and she could continue any outside projects. Floor suffered from exhaustion about a year or to after had to take a year to recover. Now she monitors her workaholic drive. Rock On Stay Safe!🙏🤘🤘🤘
Hell yeah! That made me super happy to hear that in the mix! I do have Revamp on the list :) Looking forward to it! Thank you my friend and you do the same!! 🤘❤
If an epic-length song is being created to convey the science of stellar and human evolution, it better be a good one, right? Tuomas was up to the task on this one, for sure, and the band was on their game when performing it. As I've noted before, many of their songs are laced with an unselfishness that is refreshing. I mean, how may 20+ minute performances can you think of without a guitar solo? Or a drum solo? Sure, there's a lengthy keyboard part to start the piece, but it's the perfect (and maybe only) way to introduce the emptiness of pre-big bang space. The Tampere performance is stunning, and my who body chills over every time Floor smiles at the audience as whispers: 'Us, sleeping". The whole thing is magic on many levels, include the grace with which they say goodnight to the audience. Now, having experienced this one, check out the Wembley 2015 version. You'll see Troy join Tuomas in the beginning covering the nice cello part and then his first whistle melody on a guitar with an e-bow. It's a nice variation. You're a great reactor, so please keep on the journey. You mentioned 'newer things'. I'm hoping for 'How's the Heart (acoustic)' and the live version of 'Shoemaker' at Hellfest 2022. Those two might be tissue-worthy. Thanks again, Jynger!
Tuomas was about to make this 45 min long but had to shorten it to fit into one album. He tells 4,6 billion years here in some 24 min. Awesome performance and theme visualized too here.
This is the great tribute to mother Earth. Floor and Marco singing in unison is marvelous. So epic with fireworks no less, love your immersed reaction, and turning an ear for the Metallica riff.
I am on older metalhead that recently found your channel and have been watching your videos back to back, I love that you don't pause the videos every 5 seconds and you reactions are genuine! Keep on rocking and continue to do as you do!!! You got yourself a new subscriber!
I love watching your reactions, especially to Nightwish songs....they are so amazing...so whenever you're in the mood for just sitting back and relaxing with a glass of wine check out Nightwish's "All Works of Nature Which Adorns the World"...this is'nt a recommendation for you to react to, just to enjoy...it's a 31 minute nature documenary with some of the most stunning visual images that you can imagine...the music is by Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish), he also provides the Piano with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir...Troy Donockley (Nightwish) provides the Uliain Pipes and Kai Hahto (Nightwish) provides some percussion...the ending soprano voice is Floor Jansen (Nightwish)...it is truley amazing to watch and listen to...so please enjoy and if you wish, let me know what you thought of it!!!! ua-cam.com/video/RnOdQ5WNZJk/v-deo.html
Your reaction was truly worth the wait. You absolutely understood the weight and depth of this masterpiece, and why I consider it the greatest composition of my lifetime (a long one). The "Enter Sandman" was at the end of a tribute to the history of music and composition, which began with Bach's "Minuet in G" on the harpsichord. I noticed that you got chills, as I always do, when Floor did what I call "Mother Nature's call for life to begin" with the red background, and also on my favorite moment ... "us sleeping!". The depth of this musical masterpiece becomes even more evident as one researches some of the references. I told you about one line in my "Poet" comment. Another hidden in allegory is "Lonely farer in the Goldilocks zones, she has a tale to tell." The Goldilocks zones is the area of the solar system which is "not too hot, not too cold" to sustain life. there is one planet in this area of our solar system and it is ours, so he's referring to Earth and the story of how we came to be. LUCA was mentioned ... Last Universal Common Ancestor ... from which life evolved. Little Lucy being the remains found in Africa, which were considered the earliest biped. Tuomas is pure genius, and this song is his in which to shine. In most cases, he lays the musical foundation on which the others build. In this song, the keyboards take the helm and drive this through it's end. There is so much more for you to discover, and I will be there with you. I'm emotionally attached. You are such a wonderful person, and nothing excites me more than watching you discover the brilliance of the many levels of this band's genius. Thank you for using the Tampere version. Now ... please go back (either on your own or as a reaction) and watch the Wembley version. There are significant differences that add to the experience, as well as Richard Dawkins (the author of the book for which this song was titled) making an in person appearance to recite the last paragraph of Darwin's "Origin of the Species" (which was read over the titles at the end of this performance). Love you to the moon, dear Lady. Thanks so much for sharing!
This really is THE greatest show on earth. It's so powerful and the last speech and the very last speech are really good at putting things into perspective. Can't wait for more Nightwish and any other reactions you are going to do!
Yup, that was Enter Sandman. They always manage to throw nods to other bands and music pieces. Have you noticed Emppu's solo in "Ghost Love Score" uses the "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" theme a little?
I'm not stopping, watching your Nightwish Ride ! I'm SOOOO HAPPY that you choose this version of TGSOE. And you now know why. Time-coordinated fireworks. Where The F@ck do you get that in a concert??? You have again made me shed some tears...because of your insights and emotional ❤ connections with Nightwish. It's beautiful ❤ to experience your reactions. Thank you Amanda!!! ❤ Much love to you and Ukraine 🌻🌻🌻💙💛💙
If you listen very closely to the "Enter Sandman" section, it is preceded by some drums (representing primitive music), two snippets from Bach, and some Electronica. The whole piece is incredibly written.
Theres a documentary of floor in this concert ,she and her classmates are looking at floors concert with nightwish finest moments and her parnts are speaking to the show calls Klasgenoten with floor jansen. Tissues are nessacerry!
15:13 Yes, that was Enter Sandman. A tribute to Metallica of whom Tuomas is a big fan but also eludes to the "Single grain of sand" line in the song. Loved your reaction to it tho. Like: "Hey, I know this... but it couldnt be... right?" Just for a second you looked really confused, it was cute xD
I am glad you liked it, and you do a great job. We appreciate you and yes, that was an Enter Sandman riff thrown in there. You know Tuomas started thinking about creating a band while in the United States at a Metallica concert. He then later decided to make that wish in the night happen when he was doing his military service in Finland (they have mandatory service time there) while standing around a fire they had made. Keep rocking JyngerSlapz!
That speech of Dawkins at the end is just the cherry on top. If you listened carefully 'til then, that really gives you an intergalactic boost of "fuck yeah, carpe diem!" attitude.
Tuomas, our metal Mozart ❤🤘 This is the song during covid lock down couple of years ago I refound Nightwish again. Earlier I did not follow youtube and music a lot. Of course I knew Nightwish since 1996. I am lucky to have all Nightwish studio albums since 1996, all of those. Tuomas is such a song writer and composer 🥰
Its amazing how every verse in this song has a much deeper meaning than you would think. Only until I researched this song line by line, did I fully understand it. After I did, I was in awe of it. You asked about Enter Sandman. That was the end of the tribute he gave to histories music. It started with the tribal drums, then Gregorian chants during his piano solo, we heard some Minuet by Bach, a little techno, then Enter Sandman. This song is filled up with so many things that you will miss unless someone points them out. Its just genius, not to mention the message it sends how lucky we are to have experienced life.
No, thank you for your wonderful reactions to our favorite band and lead vocalist. Your reactions are so entertaining for us and your smile is infectious. Keep em coming. We'll follow your lead.
i love this one by nightwish they are amazing group i noticed you had a smile on your face from start to finish and yes you did here a bit off sandman by mettallica another fantastic group
Another great genuine reaction. Thanks for that and congratulations for the first 8k. (...and counting...) of suscribers in your channel. Greetings from Argentina😉🤘🇦🇷
about Enter Sandman, yeah it was :) In this part of song, Tuomas show us the evolution of music. It started by sounds of something like harpsichord, after that some sounds of waltz, after that some sounds of country music, after that something from rock-n-roll, after that Sandman sounds, and after that sounds of pop music. And maybe something else in each interval, I can heard only that :)
I love the Enter Sandman part and it's amazing how many supposed rock and metalheads miss it. Bravo for catching it. Listen to the studio recording for other little quips of music from the ages in that little spot. Cheers.
Loved it, Every time I see and hear Floor walk down that walkway my heart melts. Its a long song but didnt seem like 5 minutes. Thankyou for the reaction
Yes you heard it! Right before Emppu played 2 riffs from "Enter Sandman", Tuomas played the keyboard main melody to Bach's "Toccata en fugue in D minor". Tuomas' way of paying tribute to the evolution of music from classical to metal. Brilliant. See you very soon for the next leg of the journey. Much more to go.

There is Bhrams, Bethoven, Metallica and modern EDM mixed in the one part that you noticed. It is the evolution of music.
Still tons of Nightwish reactions left. And of course Floor's singles outside of Nightwish. A gift that keeps on giving.
I'm addicted too...🤘💚

It just leaves out Richard Dawkins to speak the intro

Being addicted to Nightwish is certainly not a bad thing! Once you've listened to any specific song enough times, the next level is watching peoples' reactions for the proxy amazement. 😉 It's a tasty double-dose hit, having both the music and the persons excitement.
Some things never get old! 🤘🤘🤘
This is an experience and probably the greatest tune ever invented!
It is amazing, and it will be amazing! You have alot more to go through, hope to see you twice a week still! See you soon ❤️
Thanks for this version - the theatrics of it are superb... the next best version would have to be the Buenos Aires show 2018 - worth checking out!
Yep that was Floor gettin' her growl on...
Discovered them at 50 also and haven’t looked back.. Always loved Prog rock since HS so symphonic rock only seemed natural,
Great reaction, as always!
Beautiful reaction once again ❤Ghost Love Score was the epic gateway to the Nightwish journey
The Poet And The Pendulum was an insight and process to the pain Tuomas Tarja the rest of the band and the fans had to go through
Lastly The Greatest Show On Earth is arguably one of the best Metal compositions ever written. 💥💥💥
I just love your reaction videos! Wish you all the best! 😘
You have to love Marco's little smile when he's on the catwalk 😀
Floor acts the whole thing, as always, so that weaponry, grain of sand and so on are all represented in her actions.
As a sidenote, at the Wembley concert, Richard met Floor backstage and said "Hello, darling, what do you do?"
"Well, I am the singer of the band."
"Oh, you sing, do you? I like people who sing!" (As related by Troy)
I was privileged to see this masterpiece performed 3 times live this year, two times last week in England... words cannot describe it.
Other times they throw in Maiden licks too.
Yes! What an amazing performance. I have seen this dozens of times and it still gives me shivers.
Thank you so much my new friend! Welcome to the channel and you have my word that I will never pause a reaction video! Rock on my friend!
It's so good when you find a new band who, not only sound absolutely incredible, are a bunch of science nerds just like you... 😆
marco must say:heypeople money and nightwish
I'm so glad you picked that version. Yes, you found the Easter egg, indeed Enter Sandman, Looking forward to more.
They did this song live in Amsterdam last week, even the short version is amazing,a piece of art 🤘🤘🤘
So glad you did this version. Made my night 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
This is really their showcase…but, seeing your reactions, I’d say you’ll love the acoustic version of “How’s the heart”
Always love that "Enter sandman" moment when it is recognized, hehe...
Thank you for watching to the end...very moving spoken word passages!
Oh hell I didn’t notice that! Now I will pay close attention!
Much love to you and Ukraine
🌻🌻🌻💙💛💙
Can you imagine being there for that? Thank God for this recording.
If you listen very closely to the "Enter Sandman" section, it is preceded by some drums (representing primitive music), two snippets from Bach, and some Electronica. The whole piece is incredibly written.
I'm pretty sure there's some Vivaldi in between Bach and Sandman too
Theres a documentary of floor in this concert ,she and her classmates are looking at floors concert with nightwish finest moments and her parnts are speaking to the show calls Klasgenoten with floor jansen.
Tissues are nessacerry!
That song is a masterpiece.
Best Christmas present I ever had was off my son for the 2018 tour, he came with me, best weekend ever, can't wait for the next one
15:13
Yes, that was Enter Sandman.
A tribute to Metallica of whom Tuomas is a big fan but also eludes to the "Single grain of sand" line in the song.
Loved your reaction to it tho.
Like: "Hey, I know this... but it couldnt be... right?"
Just for a second you looked really confused, it was cute xD
Love Floors hair spinning “The Dutch Windmill”
Yes you want mistaken it was a ENTER THE SANDMAN RIFF paying homage to Metallica!🥰🥰
Lovin the journey girl !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rock on my friend!!!
Woke up to you posting this video! What a way to start the day 😁 one of my favorite nightwish songs! Hope you have a freaking awesome day!
This song demonstrates that Bach would have been the world’s greatest metal composer. I wish Tuomas would do a whole album of metal Bach covers 😂
i love this one by nightwish they are amazing group i noticed you had a smile on your face from start to finish and yes you did here a bit off sandman by mettallica another fantastic group
Another great genuine reaction. Thanks for that and congratulations for the first 8k. (...and counting...) of suscribers in your channel. Greetings from Argentina😉🤘🇦🇷
Thank you very much my friend!
about Enter Sandman, yeah it was :)
In this part of song, Tuomas show us the evolution of music. It started by sounds of something like harpsichord, after that some sounds of waltz, after that some sounds of country music, after that something from rock-n-roll, after that Sandman sounds, and after that sounds of pop music. And maybe something else in each interval, I can heard only that :)
I saw this live a week and a half ago in Birmingham. The really odd thing is I can’t remember it. I must have been in a complete trance.
I love the Enter Sandman part and it's amazing how many supposed rock and metalheads miss it. Bravo for catching it. Listen to the studio recording for other little quips of music from the ages in that little spot. Cheers.
the greatest twins on earth!!
Yeah, you did hear Enter "Sandman", there was also a few well known Classical Pieces, played on Tuomas's Keyboards.
Much more to go.
she is so good and markoo is soo good, best parts ever.i hope the marko boy can do this
