Happy to see you back on the ice and in comfort lol. I'd be lying if I wasn't jealous as we are open water in Indiana. I fished in MN (Mille Lacs, Upper Red) two weeks ago, and North West Michigan (Cadillac, Mitchell, Margarethe) last weekend. Now I'm itching for a LOTW trip.
Fish all winter and barely slipping by with ice. March 1st comes and two mornings with 18 below! Probably fish for another three weeks now again. Maybe get another thirty days? Nicely don't again, Curt. 👍👍👍👍
We went out of the Adrian's access yesterday and caught fish in 29 feet. Didn't do as well as you but caught 30 fish, mostly small. Kept two 14 inch saugers and a big perch. Maybe we needed to be deeper like you.
In the winter I use live chubs so I have something wiggling on my dead stick lines. I thing the chubs work fine. I think you COULD use frozen shiners but I havent had any reason to change over.
I'm more of a if it ain't broke don't fix it when it comes to my baits , ...lol the gold fire ball jig is my go-to up there especially, love the gold or red glow , Thanks for posting for us that can't get there!! It means more thank-you know !!

Well done my friend! Always a thrill to see the fish hungry! #TheVoiceOfLOW

Deeper has been better here but over at Arnesons it is a different deal. Good luck
Hey Curt we are coming up this weekend and I was curious. I know you use frozen shiners in the summer, do you use them or live minnows in the winter.

Nice !
Get’em Curt
What is the blinking light you use on your line above the hook?
Google blinking light lure. You good bait/tackle shop should have em. If not amazon does
Haven't seen you using rattle baits this year ? With the flasher you'd think that would be hot 😮
Only for short periods of time. I should use em more.
