Very -very strange... Rear fender is from 1989 model year. Headlight couling is an earlier too. Logo "monocross" on the rear arm - from early 1983-85. Console of rear foot pegs - big question, the bolts are close to each other, so the frame is 89-94 year. I have JDM XT400 E Artesia, all in 1, like an XT 600E, crankshaft, less piston, haven't tachometer, blinker, but have an emergency blinking switch. And the main thing show us 1989year- Kickstarter! From 1992 there is no kick, but rubber plug. Also haven't logo "magnesium". Carter protector has welded plate whith holes. Another design muffler rear couling. No rear bag, as Kawasaki loves, there is a luggage grille-rack. Wheels rims is aluminium D.I.D. - from factory.
@@RajerThatYT Highways are the only one kind of road that I would rather avoid on XT600. Engine will be happy till 120kmh or 75mph but there are other issues: aerodynamics and tires. With my tire choice I was riding mostly under 60mph.
@@spookgook4903 im looking at one for 600 bucks, 1986 year. it will take some tlc , but from what i've gathered, bike was road registered last year. i already own 1987 KLR 650, 1986 KLR 600, needs XT and XR to finnish my collection of legacy adventure bikes.
It's the same as mine from 1988, so I don't think yours is from 1997, it probably must be 1987 because it's the twin of mine. In my YT channel you can see the video
Lovely bike! My father still has one, it is red and white and it's absolutely awesome. Can't wait to be the right age to ride it!
Oh yeah....i've the same one, the 1989 blue model. I was 17 yo when i've bought it, and i still use almost daily
I also have an XT from 89, I use it for enduro, it is a tank 👍

Great bike, had XT600 many years ago and can't say anything bad about it. That one seems to be in really nice condition so new owner will be happy.
He is definitely delighted
how was highway riding? any issues? could it cruise at 130 km (80mph) for a few hours?

the model is 1989 the first with grey engine( 87-88 had black engine and after 1990 was different with electrick starter)
I might be buying an earlier version of this bike later today. I'm liking what I see here :)
Just got a 1990 XT needs a little love, but so stoked.

It's much different than the ones sold in the states XD
How will this bike behave on the highway with dual sport tires
Probably fine
windy and noisy on my supermoto one, i imagine even worse on dual sport tires, its ok if you go slow tho but i want to try get a small screen to help
MUCH better than with the off-road ones fitted to THIS bike.
