@mushtaak 1080p60 is a non-standard format, but gives the maximum quality. Some Blu-ray players can play it. This format offers the most freedom, because you can always downgrade it to interlaced or to 720p60 or to 30p if needed, you can also do nice slo-mo. But you need to make sure that your software can work with it. As for "HA", it fully complies with AVCHD and BD specs, so you can back it up onto DVD without re-encoding - this is called "AVCHD disc" - and watch it on most Blu-Ray players.
@mushtaak I use Sony Vegas 10 Pro and have no problems with 1080p60. Vegas 10 is much faster than previous versions when playing back timeline. I do not know much about Final Cut, I do not use Apple's stuff. If you want to go with FCP, you need to double check that ClipWrap (google it) can re-wrap 1080p60 to Quicktime container, and that FCP accepts it. ClipWrap is almost a must for FCP. I have a 4-core 2.2 GHz AMD Phenom + Nvidia 9600GT card. Does the job, although extra CPU power never hurts.
Hi mate, thanks for the review, I recently got this camera for £215 on ebay, the only problem with it is that the lcd screen calibration is off quite a way, so you touch one bit, and it registers you touching it way off to the right, do you know how to recalibrate the screen? Cheers.
