“The Butler” is an amazing, eye-opening movie. Oprah & Forest Whitaker complemented each other so well. I replay it every so often. So much goes on that we, the public, haven’t a clue about.

I thought Cher was the best until you had Oprah on. LOVED this, she is so real despite what money she has. Love you Andy, keep these great guests coming like you always do

andy has a way of allowing people to relax and not take themselves too seriously. maybe it's the booze. nice connection between him and O.
I love how that Andy is so happy and positive. He truly makes me want to have a more positive spin on life. Which is hard because I am more of a negative temperament. On another note, I believe Andy is on the side of the audience when interviewing. He wants the answers we all want to know. That said, he walks a fine line. Keeping the guest comfortable while asking the hard hitting questions. He also does it in a sly way. Love him.

This was awesome!! You all should have done an hour special long show for Oprah...
okay so i read most comments before posting mine, bc i wanted to see if anyone felt the same way as i did when it came to the difference between Andy & Oprahs interviewing style. Andy is always prying whereas Oprah gains trust and ends up with more valuable information. She knows that once they trust you they will eventually spill out truths without pressure. Andy style is short and intense bc his segment is short and his audience is very direct. Oprah has always been understanding yet strategic and Andy could learn a lot by her interview techniques. But as far as her saying he carries the light, she was treating him like Lindsey Lohan and giving him more than he deserves. I guess thats just her Philanthropic ways. Truth is WWHL is one of my favorite shows and i Love andy, but his aggression toward some of his guests have come of uncomfortable im sure for them but also for the audience. At some point most of us have a moral understanding, that some things should remain Personal, Andy!

Yup i think him n oprah r night and day interviewing style and its quite ironic.
Florence 81 Wendy didn't host the real housewives of alt reunion. She hosted the Braxton family value reunion, but Andy is the only host to do the reunions.

I need to see The Butler, I'll probably watch it when it comes out on DVD or TV, if I can't watch it at the theatres. The first interview I saw was Oprah interviewing the late Michael Jackson.
I don't think she took Whitney to task either. If you re-watch that interview, Whitney NEVER admits to being a "drug addict" or being "addicted to drugs", and Oprah gave her an out by leading her to say "Bobby was my drug".
celebrity19812004 whitney totally owned up to it. she said she smoked everyday she said she did cocain for years and that after the bodyguard it was heavy and after the preachers wife it was everyday so she didn't have to use the word addiction she said it was everyday
@@JaleneLovelace Yeah, words don't have to be literally said when the implication is clear and obvious. Some people think you actually have to spell the words out when you admit to something publicly, like it's some sort of "punishment" for it.
But I'm also not sure what else exactly they wanted Oprah to get Whitney to say, that she wasn't sober still? And would that have happened if Oprah insisted and how would it have helped? It would only have been Diane Sawyer 2.0. Like would that have been her "coming to Jesus" moment and magically solve all her problems? Would it have prevented her demise?
