This show is *_AMAZING!_* I've rewatched it several times, and I still don't get tired of it. The story, the characters, the style, the music... It's honestly one of the best shows I've ever seen.
Also, If you had not already realized, the voice for Vi is Hailee Steinfeld who played Kate Bishop in the short series Hawkeye. Actually, Arcane was a combination of hand-drawn animation and computer graphics imagery. It was all done by a French company called Fortiche Production.
This was unexpected, but certainly not unwelcome!! Something I haven’t seen a lot of people bring up/appreciate is how the argument here is whether or not they should fight, NOT whether or not they should give up the kids. Notice how that guy spat on the Enforcer’s boot? Vander’s patrons are a strong, tight knit community. It’s extremely telling that even when there’s disagreement, it’s about HOW they’ll all survive, not whether they should let some of them die so the rest of them can. The fact that such an option is never even suggested is HUGE.
Next episode is the finale of the first "arc". The season is divided into 3 arcs of 3 episodes each. 120 minutes per arc... about the same length as a standard movie.
They have already finished the show a while ago over on Patreon. Watching in 3's also isn't really something that's easy to do, with only so much time in the day, and editing time and uploading etc. We also intentionally tried to keep the 3 arcs structure from them until they figured that out themselves, or it would have given away some story beats and twists to a degree.
We were going to watch it much early than this but we held to get as close as possible to the release of S2, but yeah no where near 3 years like you guys😱
Guys you just never stop surprising me. I've been waiting for MCU reaction but this is even better. I'm LoL player and huge lore nerd so it's very nice to see your reaction to Arcane
Vi is giving herself up to save Powder because she is scared that they will take Powder or she'll get in trouble so Vi is sacrificing herself for her sister. After seeing how vulnerable Powder is when she was almost caught by the enforces, Vi is scared for her little sister. I am astonished at how many people tend to miss that. She is not going to fight them all because she knows if this goes wrong, powder will get the consequences as well and she is ready to do anything to keep powder safe. Vi was ready to fight at first but after talking to Vander at the bridge where he says he'll take care of things and after Echo told her about the deal, she knew this was the best thing to do to save her loved ones. She is taking responsibility as the leader (and maybe the eldest) of the kids because they did screw up.
The actress whose voice you recognized is currently in The Penguin. She was also in Grimm and 24 and a ton of other stuff. She has a very recognizable voice.
The actress doing Vi's voice is the same actress that played Kate Bishop in the Hawkeye show and Wanda in the Spider-Verse movies. The actress from Fallout does the voice for Jinx... but you're a few episodes away from meeting Jinx.
Yeah we saw the suggestion indeed, we tried to hold on as much as possible to get as close as possible to the release of season 2, and we are super excited for it 😍
Oh I thought Trin was going to say something else about Viktor. Also, Grayson is voiced by Shohreh Aghdashloo who had a massive role in The Expanse, one of the best live-action sci-fi shows ever made based on an epic book series.
After you finish the Season I highly recommend the Imagine Dragons - Enemy music video. It was made by the same company that made the show. After that the making of series Arcane:Bridging the Rift here on youtube is also great.
You mentioned Alita Battle Angel and my ears leaped to the sky. I just looked and I don't see a reaction to that one. Maybe you saw it before you started doing reactions? Anyway, I'm glad you're reacting to Arcane. One of my few favorite things including The Lord of the Rings and Alita.
It's not really spoiling anything if it doesn't really tell anything other than recognizing them. Trin didn't actually spoil anything. And considering they watched the entirety of LOST together, without Trin ever spoiling anything even though she had seen it before, I think she deserves more credit.

I can understand it from both sides, and most importantly, nothing was truly spoiled so there's that at least xD I didn't play LOL before watching Arcane, so I didn't really know much of anything. So, to me it was actually kind of nice with these reactions to hear someone that has played some of it recognizing them, because I never knew how recognizable some of them were, besides like Vi and Jinx later on etc.
I think people when are watching multiple episodes at once which is fine it should be done by the acts. So Act 1 ep1-3, Act 2 ep 4-6, and Act 3 ep 7-9. I know for most shows this doesn't matter but for this show it does.
Wow, and I thought I had made a mistake. I also had absolutely no interest in LOL, and avoided Arcane because of it. Luckily, I saw a Drinker Recommends video on it, and decided to give it a try. It's since been my absolute favorite show- and not just that, my favorite entertainment, period. I still have zero interest in LOL though.
We don't want any spoilers in general so we go blind on the things we react to, not everyone agree with this method but that's how we do it, and this was a surprise reaction to everyone so we didn't tell our mods that we were going to do it, so yeah maybe if we did they would have told us how to watch it. The thing is it didn't change anything to the fact that we were going to watch it all anyway and the way we watched didn't change anything to the pleasure we had watching it :)

cool series, definitely above average. however, the animation is surprisingly mediocre at times, as if it was made on a computer from the nineties.
