I have Polish friends who start their clebrations at the end of November and go right through until the 1st week of January. I have spent Hanukah with Jewish friends and of course, Christmas with my Catholic and Christian friends
In the four years since my nephew's birth, Christmas is a time of, well stress but seeing his face light up with his gifts is oprecious...then on Boxing Day...leftovers with the Boxing Day Test
Have a wonderful Christmas! Enjoyed pics of snow from Chris's sis near Tunbridge Wells a couple weeks ago...but looks like your Christmas may be more damp than white now? Regardless: happy Christmas to you and your loved ones. N&C
I'm from Ghana West Africa. Thanks for sharing this humbling pieces with the world. ❤❤ I would to see indepth videos of the activities so we can incorporate them in our local community activities too🙏🏿🙏🏿
Happy New Year, dear friends! Here's hoping our paths cross again in 2023. We look forward to all the year ahead holds, and trust God will show each of us the kingdom-work in store for us. Sending our love, C&N
Wonderful to see all the fun and celebration as well as the reverence. This year I've discovered Advent through the writings made available through the Bruderhoff. The ritual that reminds me of my late parents is the tot of whiskey in the first cup of tea on Christmas morning. Happy memories!
Love the whiskey tot and tea memory! The Advent messages from Alfred Delp, Eberhard Arnold and Christoph Blumhardt have meant a great deal to us this season, so we're happy to know you have been inspired by then too. Thank you so much for your friendship, and sending you our best wishes as we look towards a new year. C&N
A joyous Christmas to you .really enjoy the blogs as 30 years ago we spend 3months in new meadow run at Christmas time!!.loved everyday of it and still brings nostalgia
A wonderful Christmas to you and yours. We're not Bruderhof, but our family admires the focus you have on what is really important about the holidays. Time with loved ones and mindfulness and recommitment to the notion of forgiveness and reconciliation between all people in the knowledge of God's love.
Thank you, Scott. We trust you and your family have had a wonderful Christmas - and we look forward to what the new year holds. There is so much darkness in the world, and yet we know the Light shines and darkness will never overcome it; that's the promise and the hope we all carry with us. Blessings to you and yours too! C&N
Merry Christmas Norann, Chris, and the same to all your family. It was great seeing all the various Christmas activities and gatherings celebrated in your area near Inverell. Summer makes it possible for everyone there to enjoy so much outdoors at Christmas. My area along Coastal South Carolina is going to be well below freezing for Christmas weekend, but no precipitation is expected. The Midwest and Northeast are experiencing a very frigid and dangerous bomb cyclone.
Christmas cheer to you and your family, dear Vivian! We are praying for everyone in the states impacted by the extreme winter weather. Thank you for all your encouragement throughout 2022 and we look forward to continuing our conversations in the new year. Blessings from our home to yours! C&N
Wonderful to see the different traditions and lead up to Christmas. I’ve wanted to stay at the bruderhof during Advent/ Christmas for the past 14 years since I found you guys. Perhaps next year we can make it happen! For Elodie and myself we do not do a lot, but we make gingerbread men and listen to carols on the tv. Last night we went for the first time to see the Christmas lights locally and she loved that! I also like to let her decorate the lower half of the tree in whichever way she sees fit 🙂
Wishing you both a wonderful Christmas weekend! 🎄 Making gingerbread with your beautiful daughter is a lovely Christmas expression, and letting her help decorate your tree. These are memories she (and you) will cherish in years to come.
This video made my day! Thanks for sharing the way you guys celebrate Christmas. I’d love to have Christmas in the sunshine, see a ‘real life’ Nativity, eat that delicious looking food you guys eat, watch the children enjoy dressing up as angels, shepherds, kings etc and I’d love to participate in the lighted candle walk. Truly magical! I hope Santa brings Bear an extra special bone to chomp on, he deserves it! ….Our family traditions are a little different. I like to put the tree up the first weekend in December, order the food, write the cards, (hope you got yours. I posted it really early) buy the gifts, ask Alexa to play Christmas carols, have lots of friends and family over and enjoy a feast fit for a king. We also always a Christmas quiz and play ‘Steal’ which is really fun…. Have a wonderful time guys! And thanks again for sharing your lives with us.
We thought of you as we recorded, dear Gillian 💛. Thank you for being such a great encourager. Love your Christmas traditions - so good! Hope it's been a wonderful Christmas weekend for you. Here it's Boxing Day: a lazy late brekkie, and now the cricket from the MCG. Gotta love Aussie summertime! Wishing you peace, joy and good cheer. C&N
Oh, Santa's around, alright. Usually shows up for the kids at a celebration on Dec 6, traditionally St Nicholas' Day. And all the kids hang stockings and get stuff from 'Santa', for sure. Gotta have childhood magic! 🤩
I bet Wilbur from "Charlotte's Web" didn't get to enjoy Christmas did he??? Probably squealing, I don’t wanna die! You guys are supposed to be Christian’s, doesn’t your Bible say thou shalt not kill??? Response, oh we’re not under the law. Wilbur screams for Charlotte, help me Charlotte!
Joyous, yes! Thank you!
😊

December 6th is Saint Nicholas Day. The real Santa Claus! Where it’s good to have people who exemplified the faith!
كل عام وانتم بخير 👍👍❤🌹💖
شكرًا لك! المشابه لك
My grandfather was born in Jugiong. Is that near you?
About 9 and a half hours' drive. So yeah, pretty close by Aussie standards. 😊 Christmas blessings!
So, no Santa? That would be a bummer not to have that childhood magic.

No comment. Except to say that actually this year we ate a lot of smoked chicken - a delicious gift from friends! 😎
