Troy and Nick’s relationship was the most complex, interesting and intriguing thing in this entire show. I ship these two so much it hurts!! I’m now on the third season and I’m certain that once Troy and Nick die I’m not going to continue watching because these characters are the only thing I care about in the show’s universe.
ey, fellow trick shipper here. even individually, troy and nick were my favorite characters. and there relationship was definitely my favorite on the show (followed by nick and alicia's). it was hard enough to go on after what happened to troy, but losing nick felt like the end of the show (or, at least, my enjoyment of it). they deserved so much better. luckily i've got ao3 and fanfiction, with writers better (and braver) than bloody ftwd's themselves, haha. sorry to hear that they destroyed your love for the show as well, mate. if you read fanfiction, i could send you a few good ones? i read mostly canon-following ones (by which i mean, the characters are well-written and never ooc, and the story picks up during a certain time of the show rather than an au). basically, they're like ftwd rewritten, ahaha. if not, it's cool. i get that most people don't really enjoy fanfiction. i didn't until i gave it a genuine try. much love to you!! 💓

I am so sad :( I didn't want Troy to die :( This was a beautiful video though. It killed me how upset Nick was :(.... I would be totally okay if in the next season they somehow made Troy only have some head injury and have him be okay and like wake up when the water came and swim away... I wish :(

Nick and Madison both understood Troy, but whilst Madison understood him on an intellectual level, thanks to her training in psychology, Nick understood Troy on an emotional level. Which is why Nick is a better natural psychologist than Madison could ever be, despite her academic credentials. I thought that they could have developed the relationship between Nick and Troy further. They are both two sides of the same coin, both amazingly similar yet so very different at the same time. Whether Troy's death was justified or not, it doesn't change the fact that Madison knew that Troy was Nick's friend (a friendship that she actively encouraged) when she killed Troy right in front of him. Her son, who she professes to love, was extremely upset by her actions and yet she showed absolutely no remorse whatsoever. Nick killed Jeremiah and it has haunted him ever since - I doubt that Madison is the type to be haunted by her actions.
True words... Nick finally found someone he could bond with and just be himself. And Maddison, who claims to love her son, takes that away. He was finally happy and felt alive... I doubt that Madison will actually feel guilty about what she did, too. I really thought we could tag a character along that we 'found' on the way. My hopes were so high. So freakin' high... It was so amazing to have this kind of character and development. All for nothing...

Troy's death was so fucking unnecessary. Why make him so interesting and let him have this huge character development if they'll just kill him off a few episodes later? Doesn't make any sense to me.
I don't think anyone really gets the decision the writers have made. He was something new, he made me curious. He wasn't like the others we've met before. I think I would have turned out that way if I ended up in such an apocalypse. His development was breathtaking, and I really really loved that. So disappointed about his death... There were so many possibilities left. Still don't get it...
The old showrunner was leaving and said he wanted to wrap up the story and give Madison character development. New showrunners/writers are taking over though, and I don't think his actor was ready to go! Let them know we think he could survive and want him to! Yeah but what for? Nick‘s dead, Madison (thankfully, hated her for killing Troy) too. I hope they don’t make him and Alicia a thing and if so, it should be done very, very well.
