The design of the video was so superb, I've never seen anything like it. I love all the mini references and was surprised seeing as I understood them all despite being a rather new orbit. I love LOONA so much and I've been patiently looking forward to the MV release or Hula Hoop ever since it first dropped. You never cease to amaze me! Only loona can actually do something like this. The amount of lore built up for YEARS since 2016, the tiny bits of pieces and hints from those mvs just builts up the picture of the loonaverse better than it being directly shown in just one video. The subtleness just gives them a whole different vibe and feeling. This. This is something that you can't copy in just a few mvs, the amount of effort and time that went in to this improves the storytelling to a different level. It just can't be replicated.
The fact that people are calling this "cheap" really shows how we Orbits don't deserve nice things. If y'all haven't been paying attention, LOONA has always been experimenting with different things, hell, their entire discography is an experiment. It's what makes LOONA, LOONA. Also, MVs shot on green screens aren't necessarily cheaper than real life locations, it's just a matter of preference and the demand of that concept. I imagine they used green screens to add more cohesiveness and have more artistic liberty with the graphics and edits, but go off I guess. 🤧🤧

I'm surprised people are so mad over this MV. I think it looks really fresh and unique in the current atmosphere of choreo and visual mixed MVs. Personally I just wish they expressed more of the choreo in this MV cause its actually really good.
this is by far one of their best mvs.. it's so creative and it's a treat for the fans, especially those like me who have been there since the beginning of the loonaverse. it also does a great job distancing their image from their korean releases, setting a new identity for their career. it's so refreshing watching them doing they something PURELY cute, it looks like all of the girls loved it and i really wish they could do more stuff like it. my girlies outdid themselves again, tysm loona
I'm not praising just because this is their latest release, Hula Hoop MV is one of the best MV after a while for me (inspite of it being a greenscreen) Digipedi is indeed talented. It's so crazy and creative. The music visualisation makes us dizzy in a good way. The visual effect gives off some neo psychedelic music video vibes and I love it so so much.
As someone who has been an orbit since predebut, this video is such a lovely homage to the legacy of LOONA. I REALLY hope they can continue their impact despite their company's financial struggles
not y’all calling this mv cheap. 😭 it’s cute, fun, and gives the girls ample focus time/closeups for newer fans! i love it! also, I think you guys are underestimating the work that goes into vfx , editing, animating, etc. the way this mv seamlessly merges different effects as the camera pans down is really neat.

i just realized why the mv moves down and it's not just an artistic choice made by the editors. on ptt era, it was there were references that showed that we were on the moon. and now we are going down from the moon to earth and landing to japan for their debut. that's why at the end there were planets landing in the tokyo tower
this was actually a super smart way to save some money bc by bringing back some of the old outfits, they kept lore in the mv and didn't have to waste money on completely new wardrobes

The fact vivi stans are like "this is an improvement, I'll take it!" is soo sad it really breaks my heart. A lot of people say this mv is not a good mv but 1) it’s unique 2) they have to spend a lot of time in editing LIKE A LOT (I’m an editor too so yeah) 3) there’s a lot detail about the loonaverse which I really love 4) it fits the concept of the song: bright energetic and fast ( for fast I mean everything in this mv moves very fast and pops out of nowhere just like how it is in the song)

Anybody who's even bit familiar of video editing would know how much pain it is to had edit this video. I understands how people might think this looks "cheap" because of the simplicity of the concept, but that's the beauty of it. They managed to make it refreshing & unique. I've been rewatching this vid multiple times now (prob accounting for like 1/3 of view counts, come on orbits!) & not being bored once, always managed to find new details & throwbacks each time. This should be an example of how to shoot a unique music video without being "too much", just simple props, green screen, & a ton of hours of editing! Probably also helps that the song is a MEGA BOP! ❤

The design of the video was so superb, I've never seen anything like it. I love all the mini references and was surprised seeing as I understood them all despite being a rather new orbit. I love LOONA so much and I've been patiently looking forward to the MV release or Hula Hoop ever since it first dropped. You never cease to amaze me! I love this so very much and I will religiously watch this over and over
Loona, you will always be precious and dear.
Only loona can actually do something like this. The amount of lore built up for YEARS since 2016, the tiny bits of pieces and hints from those mvs just builts up the picture of the loonaverse better than it being directly shown in just one video. The subtleness just gives them a whole different vibe and feeling. This. This is something that you can't copy in just a few mvs, the amount of effort and time that went in to this improves the storytelling to a different level. It just can't be replicated.

The fact that people are calling this "cheap" really shows how we Orbits don't deserve nice things. If y'all haven't been paying attention, LOONA has always been experimenting with different things, hell, their entire discography is an experiment. It's what makes LOONA, LOONA. Also, MVs shot on green screens aren't necessarily cheaper than real life locations, it's just a matter of preference and the demand of that concept. I imagine they used green screens to add more cohesiveness and have more artistic liberty with the graphics and edits, but go off I guess. 🤧🤧

also, I think you guys are underestimating the work that goes into vfx , editing, animating, etc. the way this mv seamlessly merges different effects as the camera pans down is really neat.

1) it’s unique
2) they have to spend a lot of time in editing LIKE A LOT (I’m an editor too so yeah)
3) there’s a lot detail about the loonaverse which I really love
4) it fits the concept of the song: bright energetic and fast ( for fast I mean everything in this mv moves very fast and pops out of nowhere just like how it is in the song)

Anybody who's even bit familiar of video editing would know how much pain it is to had edit this video. I understands how people might think this looks "cheap" because of the simplicity of the concept, but that's the beauty of it. They managed to make it refreshing & unique. I've been rewatching this vid multiple times now (prob accounting for like 1/3 of view counts, come on orbits!) & not being bored once, always managed to find new details & throwbacks each time. This should be an example of how to shoot a unique music video without being "too much", just simple props, green screen, & a ton of hours of editing! Probably also helps that the song is a MEGA BOP! ❤
