Your description section is very well organized, I love the timestamps. This is a really well organized layout! I love Plotter and received a lot of great info from the video.
Thank you so much! I'll be sharing this month - just waiting on some dividers to come in so I can finalize my setup and share :) Thanks so much for watching!!
@@JustScribble Bible size I use for work with the lined Wo2P Filofax inserts, a printable project task tracker, project managers from Plotter, and I cut down a B6 slim midori grid notebook (totally removed the spine so they're just loose sheets) for my notes, which are sandwiched in the middle of the weekly spread. Mini6 I use for personal tracking, finances, health, everything non-work, and for that I've designed my own inserts to suit my needs :) I always wish I could buy more Plotters but realistically I have no need for them! :D
I print the inserts myself mostly. Any pocket size insert fits the mini and any personal size insert fits the Bible size. But I like printables because I can use Tomoe River paper or other specialty paper if I want and I have a small punch that works great with this size ring (it's in my Amazon storefront). But you can buy Plotter inserts on the Plotter USA site or at retailers like Atlas Stationers (I have a discount code to their shop in my description box too if you decide to shop).
I love your videos! I get what you’re saying about knowing something doesn’t work for you, but want it anyway, because it works for some people and looks so good. That’s the buzz I get from your videos! 😂. I first saw a plotter product, a pen fold, on my life mits channel. Her’s is a special limited edition from the Japan store that used reclaimed leather from an old sofa. Talk about luscious. They do make the same style, for the rest of us (lol), that’s in a mid color leather that’s close to that sofa color. It has a zip on one side and folds over with a hidden magnet. I found something similar on Amazon that folds and has a tie. It was very inexpensive, so I got it to see if I should invest in the plotter one. That sofa leather looks so good and “used”, but I don’t think I’d want a piece from where people’s fannies sat. Lolol
That’s hysterical 😆 about the sofa! That would look so soft and lush though! What a nice upcycle ♻️ Thank you so much for the compliment on my videos! Means so much to me!!!
It is from PaperRepublic. I really like them alot! One of my favorite pen loops to add on to notebooks and I've tried a lot over the years. www.paper-republic.com/en-us/collections/leather/products/le-loop-penholder
These look so intriguing to me! Such a simple binder. I love to have a lot of pages but my 35mm rings make writing not fun. Thanks for sharing this unboxing. 😊
I’m loving this slim profile and minimal insert setup. Taking some time to get used to it as it’s a deviation from my norm. But I like it so far! Thanks for watching 😊
Great video and Looking forward to seeing what you're designing for the Bible. I have all three sizes and purchased the guts for all. Drop your Etsy shop info when you finish innovating.
So sorry! I know it's harder since the two Plotter sites don't ship to the UK and there aren't a lot of retailers. But in case you didn't know, Atlas Stationers sells Plotters and they ship to the UK (and other countries) so you might look there if you want to snag one. I do have a link and a code if you wanted to shop - I put the link below. My code is: SCRIBBLE. www.atlasstationers.com/?sca_ref=4087439.ztl4Dv1oW2
I’m not left handed - though my kiddo is but with the rings being so small I don’t feel it would be an issue like normal ring binders. It’s very comfortable to write in compared to other ring planners I find.
There are shops that sell printable inserts. So you find inserts you love that are the layout/style you need for your planner/binder and then you print them yourself. You just print and cut on the cutlines of the printed insert then punch it and stick it in. There are also a ton of shops that offer freebies too so you can actually setup an entire planner in a ring system (or discbound) without paying for any inserts - just using freebies you print yourself.
I didn’t care for the pen loop that they make for it. There are other pen loops that might work better. The elastic sticks straight up and seems like it would be in the way of your desk area.
I agree on the pen loop. I wanted to try it because it was designed for it but I don't ever use it - its clunky and doesn't work with most of my pens. I actually find most often I don't put a pen with it I just have one in my bag. I don't mind the elastic actually - it stays out of the way and is easy to open and close the cover. But I've been toying with some other DIY ideas :)
Plotters are expensive - being full grain leather and also being imported in from Japan. There's is a slightly less expensive brand on Etsy (wuzhi) which I've shared as well - theirs run closer to 85 USD. And of course some folks make their own :)
I didn’t say in the video because I don’t have an actual answer. Just two random theories 🤓 One theory is that it’s because it’s similar size to a minister’s pocket Bible - that they carried all the time and fit in their coat pockets. Basically a portable size for use out and about. The other is that it’s because it’s an EDC size - perfect personal carry size and because sometimes people call their planner - their Bible. Because it’s their everything - all their info and they cherish it and use it daily. Of course it may be none of these reasons. But they make sense in my head. 😝 I’ll put their description down below too.
From the Plotter site: The Bible size is one of the iconic dimensions in the personal organizer category used around the world. Because it is a practical size to carry around, some consider it a nice “personal” size for everyday use. It doesn’t take up too much space on your desktop and is portable from room to room. PLOTTER users find it to be good for schedule planning across different projects if you pair it with PLOTTER Diary Refills. Simply slide it into a purse or pouch with your favorite pen-you’re ready to plan or journal anywhere.
Thank you for your very meaningful comment. The title of this video clearly states it’s a chat. If that’s not your style I have other quick unboxing plotter videos as well. Or you are always welcome to speed the video up, watch with CC or skip ahead. Many others like and find the commentary informative and enjoyable. But if it’s not for you that’s cool.

@@JustScribble That's so exciting! I can't wait to see your fully setup m5 :)
The black and rose gold is stunning!!
It really is so beautiful and classy!
I'm not usually a ring girl either but I LOVE my plotters, they're integral to my task management now. :) Congrats!
Awesome 👏🏻 what sizes do you have and what do you use them for?

Ive been looking at these for a while thx for the size comparisons :)
They are so nice. I love how slim they are and the quality is so nice. So glad you enjoyed the video and found it helpful!
The mini looks great for GTD lists!
Oh yes! That would be a great use for it! It’s such an awesome size! Feels so good in my hand and tosses in any bag!
Where do you buy the inserts? I found the six ring Plotter but no inserts on American Amazon. Thank you.

Very jealous. So difficult to get hold of these here in the UK.

Wonderful!
What is the system from Etsy that is similar to Plotter did you buy?
It's WuzhiStudio. I've got two videos on them if you want to check them out. Here's the link to their shop: www.etsy.com/shop/WuzhiStudio

The time of the video I'm referring to is 4:30-5:00. Thanks
