@spritualchic, same! I've come across many but Mike is the only cruise ship videos I like watching and he's the only person that I'm subscribed to pertaining to cruise ships and theme parks. He gets down to all the details and makes it a fun experience to watch. He's the best!
My last cruise was the Allure in 2011. My next cruise will be the Oasis this July can't wait. Then hopefully try out the other newer ships. The Wonder of the seas and Star of the seas
I prefer Allures boardwalk, but the giant slide is fun on Oasis. I want to try the Wonder or Star as well, but they are just so expensive right now. I cruise on a budget.
Oasis has been "Amped" so it has the giant slide and they took out the Tequila bar and the outdoor tequila bar. A sports bar replaced the Tequila bar and the slide ends where the outside tequila bar used to be. The little arcade that was on the boardwalk on Allure is gone and that is now part of the sports bar as well. And, if I remember correctly, the donut place is gone too on the "Amped" ships.
They had a table set up on the first day where they were selling them. But to be honest, I would not purchase them. The bracelets didn't work to open the room and you still had to give it to the bartenders to order drinks, so I ended up using my sign and sail card anyways.
Honestly I prefer to just go to the buffet so I can be in and out. The dining room is good, but I don't like sitting for an hour because there is always so much going on in the ship.
When do you get your dinning time allocated? I've missed out on "my time dining" but I can't choose early or late either .. Is it closer to the sailing date? I'm over three months away...
You can select your time when checking in at the 45 day mark, but my time wasn't finalized till I checked in for boarding and it definitely did not correlate to what I selected. I always choose early dining, but on this one, I got 9 pm, or somewhere around there. You can go to customer service once on board, but it wasn't worth it to me to wait in the line, I just ate the buffet so I could enjoy as much entertainment as possible.
I'll be honest, I don't recall seeing the cruise director at all. Normally I thought the cruise directors introduce the shows, but I don't even remember him doing that. He made announcements over the loud speaker but that is the extent of the interaction I had with him.
@ I had Elvis on symphony of the seas twice this year and he was always out and about putting on events and everything else we saw him every day he was super interactive. The best cruise director I’ve ever had!! He will be moving to the Oasis for the winter months.
I have watched thousands of Cruise Vlogs, this is by far the best. Also, I love Rose. She is unapologetically herself. She does not care.
Rose is awesome! She definitely is her own person and doesn't care what other's think. Thanks for watching.

I’m on the Oasis of the seas in 24 days! I love this video. Thanks for getting me even more excited 🎉
That's Awesome! Oasis was a great ship and Fort Lauderdale was such an easy port to get around. Have a great time, wish I was there with you!

@HangingOutWithMike From the videos that I have been seeing, is the boardwalk on Oasis the same as the Allure?

We were on that ship a week later
Thank you so much for sharing the Anker charger beause it has been stressing me out trying to figure out what is accepted on Royal Caribbean.
I'm glad that it helped. I was worried as well when Royal Caribbean banned the plug extenders, but I've had no issues with the Anker.
How do you find out about the RC bracelets?
They had a table set up on the first day where they were selling them. But to be honest, I would not purchase them. The bracelets didn't work to open the room and you still had to give it to the bartenders to order drinks, so I ended up using my sign and sail card anyways.
You all went to the windjammer for your first dinner? Why not the main dining room since they have the best food there.
Honestly I prefer to just go to the buffet so I can be in and out. The dining room is good, but I don't like sitting for an hour because there is always so much going on in the ship.

@HangingOutWithMike thank you
Was cruise director Elvis on this ship? He was on symphony of the seas when I said this past season but he was moving ships. He was the best!

Somehow Rose looks like she would BE the headache. Not HAVE the headache. Hey, I'm just sayin'
