Just a reminder that guys like me greatly appreciate you taking the time to make the SNU. Especially in times like this, when we need fun distractions. Thank you!
I live just outside the Seattle area. Picked up a Capra to practice this social distancing thing. Good thing I have a course in my back yard. Now I need those VP Capra axles.
I’ve been slowly getting all the necessary electronics for my Capra that I just got yesterday. Now I’m waiting for Friday evening when I can quarantine myself and pull an all nighter. I can’t wait! And btw, thanks for all that you do for the hobby. Your videos, (SBG, too) have been indispensable to me. Thanks, again.
I just picked up a Rock Rey roller from my local hobby shop. It had a castle motor in it and a servo. I had a castle SW4 sitting around so I got that thing up and running again. This thing is a lot of fun.
Got a trx4 sport kit to work on. And still have to paint my vanquish vs4 10 pro body. Got to have better weather so I can paint outside. Scary times in the world today. Good health to all. God Bless.
I`m making a new chassis for my XR10 crawler, I`m still using the original chassis so the upgrade will be welcome. Enjoy your own build Josh, take it easy brother.
Josh it really sucks right now. Some ppl are afraid to trail. I understand, but I really enjoy getting together and hitting the trails or night runs in the city. Yes I have plenty builds lol. But I’d much rather be driving. Y’all be safe
I am the middle of corona europe and just finished a drift car. Making a pause from my crawlers and bashers. Took an Tamiya TT-02 and the Yeah Racing RWD conversion kit. And I am really excited to drive this thing. First impression: I am a total noob at drifting. But I have fun doing it. So stay healthy and have fun!
Well being what is called essential personnel here to Washington State I'm going to be stuck on my forklift for the foreseeable future so unfortunately I don't get to have a new project because work has become priority to get people the stuff that they need but I would like to thank you for at least giving us some more of what we love on scale news update
Currently building a SCX 10 II kit and adding some upgrades at the same time. Also building a Capra kit with a few upgrades as well. Once completed with these kits I’ll start working on a Losi SCTE 3.0 for those days when I just want to go fast.
Just did my unassembled trx4 sport kit build!! And I did every upgrade and body mod that you did to your truck and man this thing is stupid fun! And the mullet on the back just flows so nicely with the body😂 sorry everything is postponed molone
Thank for the regular news update. It's nice not to hear about the craziness of toilet paper hording... I've been trying to finish a Larry Krog "Krog Show" bouncer along with a rebuild of an IFS hill climber like the "Dorkstar Hybrid" from RCCrawler.
Finishing up my Element C1 build with an Ijnora Comanche body, designing and printing wheel wells, accessories, and, if I get really froggy, and interior.
I'm working on multiple projects, I have an SCX-10 II 1981 Bronco build, a Cross Demon SG4-C that I'm restoring, another SCX-10 II with the Dinky RC rear cantelever suspension I need to finish the build on, a Cross PG4 Johnny Burdon Edition that needs finishing, and a 1/6 scale Ford F-350 that needs a powertrain.
I have too much projects planned. Currently building a 3Dsets Landy Pickup. A almost completly 3D printed scaler. But have several projects planned after that. Liking that MST body. I think I want that one.
I’m beginning work on a VFD chassis kit build with a Dodge Power Wagon body. Hopefully get a pair of trx4 axles underneath it....I bet you can’t guess where I got this idea! Lol....loved your version of this truck!
I'm building a pair of B5M/SC5M based drag cars for my son and I to fool with. I'm far enough along with them that I need to make an intro video for the project. I'm looking forward to seeing updates from you and Matt on your drag builds.
In the middle of a build now. SSD RC Trail King kit with Vanquish Insission Method beadlock wheels, CC Manba micro x/ 2280kv and Team Raffee Jeep Camanchee Camanchee body.
My next project is one that I have been planning since 2015. I want to build a custom, true to scale, electric, 1:8 Lancia Delta S4, with center differential, proper suspension geometry, full steel cage and 3d printed molded lexan body shell. I'm still missing basically everything from a welder/torch, 3d printer, drivetrain, electronics.... so it's probably one of those very long term projects. In the meantime, as soon as this craze is over and I can get a job, I'm probably picking a Element Enduro to build a dedicated C2 truck. I've been using my RC4WD D90 with a few key modifications to run both C1 and C2, so during the events that I went in the UK I was always very busy trying to get the truck to spec on the spot with the very minimum in resources. I didnt have much choice since living in London was so expensive, I couldnt afford to have a car back there, so I could carry only what I could fit in a backpack. Btw, any SORRCA groups in south France?
Great video Josh!! I’m sorry you don’t get to go the Scale Nats Bro. I know you’ve been working hard and scheduling time to work on your rigs for the event. But like you said, at least you get to keep the truck ;-) I’m working on a RC4WD LWB. It will have the Blazer body stretched out to a K-something as it will be a lawn care truck complete with trailer and mowers and all the stuff you’ll need to now a 10th scale yard... so to speak Lol
Waiting for my new Proline Wrangler JLUR (to match my 1:1) body to arrive; putting it on my VS4-10. Been updating some old projects: Bronco Wraith, D90 SCX10, etc.
I've been working on my ground up Bomber build for 3 or so months now. Finally found a set of ar60 f9's that's new never ran and bought them and got all my parts in a week or so ago and got it all together with all the vp goodies and some orange kmc machetes and some rc4wd rock crushers I had on my shelf to make it a roller. Still need a few things but was hoping to order some mip drive shafts, mamba x, tekin roc412hd 3100kv and a dx5c radio, but this virus stuff has impacted my job very hard and my shop literally had to close the doors and me and my coworkers are off without pay and the boss contacted us today and said this may put us out of business for good because our business has been declining for a wile now and we need to start looking for other options for work. None the less I'm devastated and I've dedicated 17 years of my to that shop and looks like we will not have a job. So my project is on hold and I'm going out to look for work till I find something so I can take care of my little family. But this hobby has kept all the bad stuff off my mind and hopefully everything will be ok. But I'm still stoked to have my build setting on its own weight! This is my 3rd bomber build and this will be the first all new bomber I've owned with new f9's and is exactly how I've always wanted one to be! I hope everyone else out there is ok and there jobs stay stable!
I’ll be re watching the scale news updates to catch up on the captions! life is still “normal” in Australia. For now…. My project will be to finish putting a Gmade Sawback body onto a TRX4 sport base.
I need to finish up the last few maintenance items on a friend's car after changing the head gaskets on it. Then I can finish up my 1/6th scale International CXT build. I don't have any extra days off, because people still want the roof trusses for their new house delivered no matter what is going on in the world.
My project is to sort through and sell some of my vintage stuff from the 80’s. Hoping to get things to someone that will use them and also gain some cash for some new stuff!
LONRGR I have some team associated stuff, a few cars, parts, various bodies, brushed motors, etc. it’s going to take some time to go thru all of it so I can take pics then post it.
as i'm not allowed to work till april 15th and not really allowed to go outside for the next two weeks i finally have time for my Insta360 One X, Class3 rig, VS4-10 Pro tube cage work and some gardenening to please my wife.
upgrading my TRX4 Sport with some GRC performance parts but waiting for it to arrive in a day or two. just got the crawlmaster pro 10T for itn and in the process of mounting up a fiberglass body. another thing is my class 1 rig based on an scx10.2, using my origin chassis and currently mounting my hilux fiberglass body... hopefully i finish this soon.
Well am building a stampede 2wdout of spare parts that i've collected over the years... and the electronics that I have in it are so old that it is just hilarious!!
Not alot of news this week , was there? I found the CFX-W very capable even on the rocks. Perfect gearing in the axles and tight steering. I did perform my own tweaks to lower the center-of-gravity and closely built it as a Class #1. The weakness is in the cvd's. I bought the upgraded cvd's...they are extremely strong. I believe they had the portals about 6 months or so before anyone else.
Hopefully Proline can learn a thing or two of making nice bodies, if you compare this MST Land Cruiser body with the Proline one, that looks like a bad joke. Also Josh, when is the Vanquish Q-Series led lights will be available again??
Here in europe all events are cancelled too. And more regulations are implemented on a daily basis. I quess in a crowded country as the Netherlands a virus spreads more rapid, but I truly see the nessesity of the restrictions. Even with them in place I think we'll have to deal with this well through the summer months. Please be happy of not having all this "closing" overseas, and as I can see it, it's great that everything get cancelled... you'll be safe with your family in your house.
Thanks for the slap of reality , most people in the U.S. ( that I know ) think this is a big joke , my garage is stocked with food and water just in case we get locked down , I rather be safe than sorry

I would love to finish up on some projects. This is however becoming more difficult. Local hobby shops are selling out of things and cant get them back in stock for awhile. Now our state as issued the closing of all non essential businesses so that means as of today the shops are now closed and are only doing online orders. I did manage to pick up a few things yesterday before they closed but that may be it for a little while. At least I have a few of them together and can get them out and run those ones.
Renovating my scx10.2 with the new proline Jeep JL wrangler body with a new set of vanquish wheels and proline krawler tires and maybe some new axles who knows tho 🤷🏻♂️
I have a new Xtra Speed V8 motor transmission. Waiting for a HG-P407 chassis to arrive hopefully I can make it all turn into a scale rig of some sort 🤔🙋♂️
Wish i had the extra time, in industry that is hands on and cant work from home, but ive been working on the TGH/HH custom build but with AR60s under it, not as a comp just as a did this kind of thing
Figuring out what to do for Monthly Mayhem is my biggest project!

I'm still going out and crawling with my RCs at a private area by myself. Still having fun!
Or just a couple friends outdoors. Might be better off

Kicking around the thought of building a traxxas trx4 sport kit. Doing truck maintenance and fixing issues that I had been putting off, for now.
Finishing up my Element C1 build with an Ijnora Comanche body, designing and printing wheel wells, accessories, and, if I get really froggy, and interior.

More tuning for the TRX4. Titanium links, new skid, puller pro stubby with a mamba micro. Whatever else I can think of that's free!
Just finished a 1/8 scale buggy conversion. Next project is a 3.5 outboard tunnel hull. Good weather is right around the corner.

Here in europe all events are cancelled too. And more regulations are implemented on a daily basis. In terms of the positive side: Delayed maintanence on existing rigs and a VS4-10 pro (soon) on order.
It feels like a year already, they announced the release to be the 4th quarter of 2019 but that came and went. I’m excited for the body for sure.
Next build is a military tribute truck, starting in the next few weeks, depending on parts availability

Building my 1:1 crawler since all I need to finish my honcho is the bomber interior 🍺
I'm going to go shopping for orange crocs so Josh can wear them at crawl for a cure. Pretty sure the scary stuff should be over by then.
Think I'm gonna build me a lunchbox. Grape van anyone?? Lmao
