i thought the way you tied what pac said about your dead friends speaking for you to kendrick carrying on pac's message after death was really interesting. makes me see mortal man and this album in a different light. also obviously amazing series.
I don’t think Kendrick is human, I can’t process how someone can even think of creating art like this, this is truly the greatest album ever created in my opinion.
I think you’re wrong, only the most humane people of all can create such compelling art like this
Thank you for this wonderful series, your analysis allowed me to take my understanding of this album to a new level: I'm a white European male and I never fully understood what being a black people in America meant until I internalized this album: hang in there my friends, the battle against racism will be won if artists like Kendrick keep spreading the word!
i could shed a tear man.
I'm so proud that you finished the series mate
Amazing series, I still remember listening to the How Much A Dollar Cost? explanation in the morning like it was yesterday. Good luck on any future series you have
This song is one of my favourites from To Pimp a Butterfly, love it so much, and it tackles many issues that I think about a lot. I want to point out where he mentions Michael Jackson, indeed, he sees him as a man who has been betrayed, and from that betrayal derived the accusations (btw, I believe they were false and he never touched the kids, but that's another issue). Related to that, I wanted to mention the fact that he mentions the song ''Billie Jean'', which is actually about a ''groupie'' who claimed Jackson was the father of her child. Of course, those rumours turned to be false, but they left a mark on the singer. Kendrick is highlighting that song to complement it with the overall motif of his song.
Totally mindblowing. The thing is, Even though I’m from Saudi Arabia, but the culture of black people is nothing but bigger here. Being the most and impactful way to have a truly ligit lifestyle. I think that Kendrick Lamar is a true artist, having the way of describing the way i personally think. You won’t be able to identify me as a person if i didn’t write this comment, but we share the same lifetime, and our purpse is to enjoy and cherish art in all its forms. Thanks to an amazing video explaining one of the best musical pieces ever recorded. 🖤
great series man, can’t believe we’re really at the end of this.
Amazing analysis, you should do GKMC analysis
one of the greatest videos i’ve ever seen.
Thank you and great work on this series !
I'm French and understanding music lyrics and especially rap ones, can be pretty hard.
I love Kendrick Lamar and you really helped me better appreciate his talent.
I absolutely love how you cover this entire album and I truly appreciate the work you put in may I suggest you go ahead and cover 4 your eyez only by J. Cole His messaging and execution of the album is quite like Kendricks in this album and I think you’ll get a kick out of it as well
I.....can't believe it's over
Yooo the goat is a fan of this series no way
