I am a hepatitis c patient who completed the medication course in October 2022. I was treated with velpatasvir and sofosbuvir ARVs. Thank you for such an informative and encouraging video.

I believe I got hepatitis in the Army by having dental work in the Army back around 1970. I was diagnosed right after I got out of the Army. I took the Freon injections and was not cured around 2008 So I got a second opinion and that doctor said come back in 10 years. Well now it’s 2023 and iam half way though a another treatment using EPCLUSA pills. I recommend that every get checked and take appropriate action. Peace & love

I got cured at stage 2 about 7 years ago. Should I be getting monitored regularly? Also started working out again and wondered if taking creatine is okay for my liver?

If you tested positive for antibodies but pcr is negative. Can it still become positive again down the road?

I got hep c from the air guns in bootcamp also 1964 I still have not had any symptoms and have not had any treatment. I know two people my age who have had the so called cure and now have very low energy since the end of their treatment 6 years ago. At 77 years of age and not much more to live for, and especially the way this country is going to hell in a hand basket I'm going to pass on the cure!

No. If you get a basic test for it though it will still show unless they look for an actual viral load. You’ll always come up as positive on a normal test that checks for the antibodies. It’s like any virus, where your body creates antibodies to combat the virus which doesn’t go away. That doesn’t mean you still have the virus though. They just have to check deeper for the virus itself by checking for the actual virus.
So no if you don’t actually have the virus anymore you can’t give it to someone.
