As an aspiring Stoic, I am constantly surprised how similar are Stoicism and Buddhism. Yes, I try hard to practise detachment. Knowing that attachment leads to suffering doesn't automatically lead to letting go, so this is an easy concept to grasp but so difficult to apply!. We are so conditioned to value the externals. But just like the archer, all I can do is try my best until I let the arrow fly. The ultimate goal does not matter. Only the process matters.

Good content but the loud distracting background music is annoying and unnecessary.

Many of these 'guidance' channels on YT and elsewhere, do the same. They don't realize why modulation works.

@@ProgressMastery The difference is that music should be a soft accompaniment in the background, not the foreground. Good for listening.

Unless the music is overpowering the narration via volume and words - which it is not in this video - it all depends on the person who is listening. I focus on the words, and the music fades accordingly. Our auditory capacity is quite amazing in the way it can focus on certain sounds and tune out the rest.
