Hello Thiago! It is not oil clay plasticine, this is polymer clay, which will harden if you bake it. There are different types soft and hard on the market. I hope this helps you.
Right?! The skill is amazing the but the clay seems so… idk.. compliant and easy to work with. They never seem to be fighting the clay which is amazing. Sculpey is good but I’ve heard Monster Clay is the absolute best, but doesn’t come in nice colors. If I had to guess, he probably uses Sculpey Premo or Fimo Professional. Basic Sculpey or mid level polymer clay is more than good enough to learn and make some stuff, but I’d recommend Monster Clay or Chavant NSP since they’re reusable and you just warm them up to soften and reuse.. this lets you practice and start over as much as you’d like and not keep baking and wasting a ton of polymer clay. As you learn, you’ll end up with a hundred little knickknacks that you don’t really care about. Once you get better you start learning to bake, since baking the polymer clay is also a skill.. you can actually burn it or mess it up, so it takes a bit of practice. A few fun projects to learn would be light switch plate covers ( go to the hardware store and buy a bunch of plates for a few bucks and sculpt on top of them, cool designs, patterns or characters.), Christmas Ornaments or little useful things like charger holders (I have basically a tiny cat that sits on my desk with double stick tape and he holds my wire so it doesn’t fall on the floor. Stuff like that) chopstick rests, hair clips or whatever. Good luck! P.S. you can buy all of that stuff on Amazon just finex
